영웅소설의 운명론과 그 위안 - 자기 확인이 주는 위안의 기능을 중심으로 -

이 글에서는 비범한 능력을 가진 천상계의 존재가 적강해 예정된 성공을 얻는 이야기인 영웅소설이 어떻게 봉건적 신분질서 속에서 고통 받던 평민 이하 계층에게 인기를 얻을 수 있었는가를 집중적으로 검토했다. 영웅이 삶의 각 국면에서 겪는 사태는 그가 적강할 때부터 이미 정해진 경로에 따라 진행된다. 그런 점에서 영웅소설에 나타나는 천정은 예정론의 관점에서 접근할 수 있다. 모든 것이 이미 다 정해져 있다는 예정론의 논리에 따르면, 주체가 현재 하는 선택은 과거에 무엇이 예정되어 있었는가를 결정한다. 선택 자체가 운명이라면, 주체가 무엇을 결정하든 그것은 곧 자신의 운명을 선택하는 일이 된다. 이때 수동적이고 무력해 보였던 운명과 주체의 관계가 역전된다. 이러한 관점은 영웅소설의 운명론에 대해 지금까지와는 다른 해석을 가능하게 해준다. 영웅은 지상계 너머의 그 무엇을 추구하지 않는다. 천상계는 그가 지금 여기에서 사는 삶에 정당성을 부여한다. 그러한 정당성은 영웅에게 주어진 운명을 선택에 따른 실현과 그로부터 비롯되는 자기 확신으로 변화시킨다. 영웅소설 장르에 공통적으로 등장하는 운명론은 관습적인 설정을 넘어서서 향유층에게 일정한 위무를 제공했다. 이 글에서는 바로 이러한 운명론의 전유로 인해 영웅소설이 평범하게 타고난 독자들에게 운명을 받아들여 자유롭게 살라는 위안의 서사로 기능할 수 있었다고 보았다. 또 영웅소설이 주는 위안에 대한 고찰을 통해 현재 유행하는 수저론과 비현실적일 정도로 비범한 인물들의 이야기인 슈퍼 히어로 서사의 인기를 함께 설명할 수 있다고 주장했다. 영웅소설이나 슈퍼 히어로 서사가 독자에게 위안을 줄 수 있다는 이 글의 주장이 이러한 서사가 언제나 독자에게 긍정적 영향을 미친다는 의미는 아니다. 그러나 예정된 궤도대로 사는 영웅의 이야기가 가진 매력이 운명론이 주는 위안의 기능과 깊은 관계가 있다는 점은 강조될 필요가 있다. In this article, I explored the reason why Hero Novels could be popular with common people during the Joseon Dynasty. In these novels, the hero who came from heaven achieves a big success without difficulty, because everything in his earthly life was predetermined since he fell down from heaven. However, if everything is already decided, what the hero does through his choice in the present decides what was predetermined in the past. If everything the hero does can't escape his fate, it means he chooses his destiny no matter what he chooses. This paradox included in the predestination theory transforms the passiveness included in fatalism into the infinite activeness of the subject. In this article, I argued that there is a possibility to newly understand the fatalism of hero novels by actively applying the paradox of predestination. Now the fate given to the hero not only justifies his choices and actions, but also provides him with the sense of self-confirming. The hero novels could be read as a story that provided consolation to a wide range of readers in the Joseon Dynasty through this sense of self-confirming, I believe the consolation of hero novels provides a certain explanation of why superhero stories are so popular in Korea at present. I don't want to argue that the consolation of hero novels or superhero stories to readers always works positively. However, it needs to be emphasized that the story of a hero who lives according to his naturalbor destiny can provide comfort to those who suffer in reality.

Immunoglobulin G4-Related Myocarditis with Eosinophilic Infiltration: A Case Report

Immunoglobulin G4 (IgG4)-related disease (IgG4-RD) is a fibroinflammatory disorder that can involve any organ system; however, myocarditis is extremely rare. A 52-year-old male with dyspnea and chest discomfort underwent cardiac MRI that revealed edema and nodular, patchy, mesocardial and subendoardial delayed enhancement of left ventricle, suggesting myocarditis. Laboratory findings revealed elevated serum IgG4 and eosinophilia. Cardiac biopsy confirmed eosinophilic myocarditis with IgG4-positive cells. Here, we present an unusual case of IgG4-RD manifesting as eosinophilic myocarditis.

폐정맥의 원발성 악성 말초신경초종: 증례 보고

Primary masses rarely originate from the heart and great vessels, and a malignant peripheral nerve sheath tumor (MPNST) is extremely rare. A 76-year-old male with pleural effusion underwent contrast- enhanced computed tomography, which revealed a hypoattenuating mass involving the right pulmonary vein and left atrium. Ultrasonography showed that the mass originated from the right pulmonary vein. Surgical resection confirmed an MPNST that originated from the pulmonary vein. We report the first Korean case of a primary MPNST originating from the pulmonary vein. We have also described the radiologic findings suggestive of a pulmonary vein mass.

일본의 실종자 수색제도에 관한 검토

일본에서는 실종자 수색과 관련된 단일 법률은 존재하지 않고, 국가 공안위원회 규칙인 「실종자 발견 활동에 관한 규칙」이 실종자 수색 절차를 직접적으로 규정하고 있고, 각 지방자치단체에서는 이 규칙을 해석하고 운용하는 훈령ㆍ조례를 제정하여 시행하고 있다. 또한 「실종자 발견 활동에 관한 규칙」의 상위 근거 법령으로 경찰청 소관 법령인「경찰법」, 「경찰법 시행령」, 「경찰법 시행규칙」, 「경찰청 조직령」이 위치하고 있다. 이에 대해 우리나라는 실종자 수색과 관련하여 성인실종자를 제외한 실종아동 등을 대상으로 한 「실종아동등의 보호 및 지원에 관한 법률」이 마련되어 있다. 일본의 실종자 수색제도는 우리나라의 실종자 수색제도에 비추어 실종자의 정의, 실종자에 대한 수색ㆍ수사의 개시 상황, 실종자정보시스템(프로파일링)에의 정보등록, 위치정보의 제공, 실종자 발견 시 조치 등에서 차이점이 있는 것과 동시에 시사점을 제공하고 있다. There is no single law related to the search for missing persons in Japan. Therefore, the 「Act on the Protection and Support of Missing Children, ETC.」 has not been prepared for missing children like Korea. However, as the basis for the search for missing persons, it is legislated in a way that regulates the missing persons, such as missing adults and children, without distinguishing them. In other words, the 「Rules on Missing Persons Discovery Activities」, a rule of the National Public Safety Commission, directly stipulates the procedures for searching for missing persons, and each local government has enacted and implemented ordinances and ordinances to interpret and operate these rules. In addition, the 「Police Act」, 「Enforcement Decree of the Police Act」, 「Enforcement Rules of the Police Act」, and 「Ordinance of the National Police Agency Organization」 are located as laws based on the 「Enforcement Rules on Missing Persons Discovery Activities」. Japan's missing person search system differs from Korea's missing person search system in the definition of a missing person, the status of the search and investigation for the missing person, registration of information on the missing person information system (profiling), and provision of location information, and at the same time provides implications.

정보기술 환경에서의 문해력과 노동의 접합 - 상징궁핍과 디지털 지대경제의 격자구조 비판 -

본 연구는 유튜브, 구글 검색엔진, 소셜미디어에 복잡하게 뿌리내린 자본의 기술적 지배 속에서 드러나는 문해력과 노동의 연결고리를 탐색한다. 이는 크게 두 가지 현상으로 나타난다. 하나는 정보기술에 의해 코드화된 문해력과 비물질노동이 결합하는 ‘상징 궁핍’의 가속화이다. 다른 하나는 정보기술 환경에서의 새롭게 대두되는 지대 추구 경향이다. 유튜브의 추천 및 구독, 구글의 페이지랭크, 소셜미디어의 피드 등으로 이뤄진 자본의 코드는 기존의 문해력을 연산주의에 예속시킬 뿐 아니라, 문화적 생산과 소비를 디지털 지대의 경제로 전유한다. 오늘날 정보기술환경에서 드러나고 있는 상징궁핍과 비물질노동의 문제는 새 미디어 기술이 출현할 때 나타나는 일시적 병리가 아니라 기술적 효율성을 추구하는 자본의 생리가 삶활동 전반에 침투하는 ‘통제사회’의 연속선 상으로 드러난다. 본 연구는 독점 플랫폼환경이 자아내는 상징궁핍과 비물질노동이 접합되는 그 구조를 드러내고, 이를 가능케하는 자본의 정보기술 맥락을 비판하고자 한다. This study explores the link between litaracy and labour revealed in the technological domination of capital, which is complexly rooted in Youtube, Google search engines, and social media. This is largely represented by two phenomena. One is the acceleration of 'symbolic misery', which combines literacy coded by information technology with immaterial labour. The other is the emerging tendency of rent seeking in the information technology environment. The code of capital, made up of YouTube's recommendations and subscriptions, Google's Page Rank, and social media feeds, not only enslaves existing literacy to computationalism, but also appropriates cultural production and consumption into a digital economy. The problems of symbolic misery and immaterial labour in today's information technology environment are not temporary pathologies that appear when new media technology emerges, but a continuation of a "control society" where the physiology of capital seeking technological efficiency penetrates the entire life activity. This study aims to reveal the structure of combining symbolic misery caused by the monopolistic platform environment with immaterial labour, and to criticize the context of information technology in capital that makes it possible.

내한제를 이용한 콘크리트의 강도증진 특성

This paper described strength development of concrete using agents for enduring cold climate produced in our and foreign country. According to experimental study, slump, air content and chloride content of concrete using agent for enduring cold climate have little variation compared to those without agent for enduring cold climate. Agents for enduring cold climate is shown to accelerate the setting time of concrete cured at 5℃ and drop the freezing temperature. As for strength development of concrete using agent for enduring cold climate, it gains high strength in concrete cured at -5℃. In case of concrete cured at -5℃ for specified age since it cured at 5℃ during 45DD of early maturity, it does not shows remarkable strength gain without agent for enduring cold climate, while concrete using agent for enduring cold climate gains comparable strength level of concrete cured at 5℃.

In this study, a study was conducted to analyze thermal diffusion according to the depth of concrete exposed to high temperatures. For thermal diffusion analysis, a test specimen in which K-type sheath thermocouples were poured in 0, 10, 20, 30, and 40 mm sections was manufactured, and thermal diffusion measurement was performed through one-sided heating for 180 minutes under heating conditions. As a result of the review, it was shown that as the temperature condition increased, the heat diffusion increased as the depth increased.

Development of Linguistic and Non-linguistic Constructions of Modernity: Comparative Analysis of Korean Television Commercials in 2002 and 2015

The present study explores how the manifestation of modernity identity via English mixing in Korean TV commercials has changed over the last 13 years. Since Lee’s (2006) analysis of Korean TV commercials broadcast in 2002, there has been changes in the English education system, and the number of proficient bilinguals has greatly increased in Korea. This study tested how these changes influence the way that modernity identity is realized in contemporary Korean TV commercials. A total of 15 pairs TV commercials broadcast in 2002 and 2015 were analyzed for linguistic and non-linguistic manifestation of modern identity. Results showed that the commercials in 2015 presented English mixing in more direct and explicit ways compared to the commercials in 2002. These findings suggest that the realization of modernity identity in Korean TV commercials has developed over the past decade.
