      • RE-09 : High mobility group box-1 and Toll like receptor 4 in Endometriosis: Mediating NF-kB pathway

        목적: The aim of the study was to examine the sterile, chronic inflammatory status in endometriosis by detecting High mobility group box-1 (HMGB-1), and HMGB-1 signaling through toll like receptor (TLR) 4 in endometrial stromal cell, which activates NF-kB pathway that might play a pathogenic role in endometriosis. 방법: Total 69 patients who had undergone hysterectomy from March, 2012 to March, 2014 were included: 39 patients who had endometriosis as case group, 30 participants without endometriosis as the control. Expression of HMGB-1 in endometrium was examined by immunohistochemistry. From endometriosis patient, eutopic endometrium was obtained and used to culture in vitro. To confirm the association of HMGB-1 and TLR4 in NF-kB pathway, the cultured human endometrial stromal cells (HESCs) were treated with recombinant HMGB-1 (15 ng/mL) for 0, 12, 24, 48 hrs. TLR4 antagonist (LPS-RS) was added after rHMGB-1 treatment to HESCs to see the change of proliferation after inhibiting TLR4. CCK8 proliferation assay kit. Real-time PCR and western blotting were used to examine the proliferation, quantification of the mRNA and protein. Specific inhibitor of NF-κB signaling pathway (TPCA-1) was used to explore the role of NF-κB signaling pathway in HESCs proliferation. 결과: HMGB-1 expression was significantly higher in glandular epithelial and stromal cells of endometriosis group compared to the controls. rHMGB-1 significantly enhanced cell proliferation in HESCs and increased TLR4 expression by dose dependent fashion. Inhibiting TLR4 by LPS-RS, cell proliferation in HESCs and expression of TLR4 were significantly decreased comparing to the controls. After blocking NF-kB pathway with TPCA-1, cell proliferation in HESCs was significantly decreased by dose dependent fashion. 결론: This study showed that HMGB-1 may play an important role through TLR4 and NF-kB pathway, in inflammatory cascade of pathogenesis in endometriosis.

        Architectural characteristics deriving from climate, features, and culture of a region are expressed in traditional residential buildings. These buildings mostly accommodate with nature, and accept architecture and people as a part of natural ecology. Our ancestors made most out of a given environment, sometimes blocking deteriorating elements, and other times actively adopting nature into a house. For this study, traditional housing architecture that contains old wisdom will be analyzed. The study that 1) derives ecological elements from traditional housing architecture 2) analyzes individual style of each house and examines general orders expressed in traditional houses in Chung-buk province 3) analyzes case studies to find ecological elements in traditional houses in Chung-buk province, will explores ecological methods and orders that are reflected in traditional housing architecture. Ecological elements of traditional houses in Chung-buk province was analyzed on a micro scale, but this can be applied to other regions; by applying excellent ecological elements of traditional houses to modern architecture, quality of life could improve. This study is expected to contribute to the development of ecological architecture that receives much attention these days. Also, follow-up studies are called for to complement insufficient aspects such as practical application to modern architecture.

      • 성형공장내 소음저감 기술에 관한 연구

        IThis study has a purpose of identifying the degree of damage and establishing the preventing measures on the mechanical noise of 120dB over generated in the Molding machine(High pressure and vibrating)used in the Construction Secondary Products Manufacturing Company. As a results, after setting up the noise control facility made of noise control cotton cloth in the ceiling area, the average noise in and outside of the factory was reduced about 4~10dB, and that in the nearby private houses satisfies the norm (50dB). In addition, according to the result of measuring the porous block’s for sounding absorption, in the mid-high frequency band (500~4,000Hz), the sounding absorption ratio was considerably high, as approximately 55~77%.

        It is essential to identify and localize the maxillary sinus septa in maxillary sinus lift procedure to prevent tearing of sinus mucosa. The variations and frequency of bony septa in the maxillary sinuses were studied prospectively by means of computed tomography. PATIENTS AND METHODS: The presence and morphology of the septa in the maxillary sinuses were studied in 80 non-selected adults. RESULTS:CT examinations of 160 maxillary sinuses were done. The septo were observed in patients.

      • SLAB構造를 갖는 蓄熱지붕의 熱性能에 關한 硏究

        This paper reports on a theoretical and an experimental study of the heat capacity of thermal storage roof with slab construction. In this system, the fully glazed absorber plate is put on the top of the conventional pitch roof made of massive concrete and acts as a solar air heater. Solar radiation collected into absorber is stored in the roof structure by radiation and convection so that it reduces the nighttime heating load through the roof. Another part of the energy is also transmitted to internal air drawn into the channel and is then introduced into the room. The energy balance equations to this system are solved using a finite difference method and the calculation results show a good agreement with the measured ones obtained from our experiments. From the results, it is seen that the thermal storage roof with the air circulation system reduces the heat loss significantly compared with that for the conventional roof in winter season.

        골격성 제3급 부정교합환자의 하악지 시상분할 골절단술후 하안면 폭경 및 고경의 변화에 대한 두부계측 방사선학적 연구

        Purpose : The purpose of this study was to analyze the lower third facial changes in frontal view after mandibular setback surgery. Materials and Methods : In this study, fifteen subjects(6 males and 9 females) with class III dental and skeletal malocclusions who were treated with BSSRO(Bilateral Sagittal Split Ramus Ostetomy) were used. Frontal cephalometric radiographs were taken preoperatively and more than 6 months postoperatively, and hard tissue(H2-Hl) and soft tissue changes (S2-S1) were measured on vertical and horizontal reference lines. In 15 cases, changes which developed more than 6 months after surgery were studied. Results : The results were as follows. 1.In the facial height, hard tissue decreased(2.46±2.76mm) with statistical significance(P<0.01), and soft tissue also decreased(1.64±3.66mm). As a result, the facial height generally becomes shorter after sagittal split ramus osteotomy. 2.In the mandibular width, hard tissue decreased(2.08±3.59mm) with statistical sgnificance(P<0.05), but soft tissue increased (2.14±5.73mm) without statistically significant difference (P>0.05) postoperatively. 3.In the facial index, hard tissue decreased(0.23±2.21%), but soft tissue increased(2.41±3.46%) with statistical significance. Conclusion : One of the main purpose of orthognathic surgery is to achieve facial esthetics and harmony. In order to fullfill this purpose, it is important to carry out a precise presurgical treatment planning by estimating the changes of frontal profile after surgery.

        The purpose of this study is to be focused on "the center" and "the mental imageable center" of Sammyo architectural space at Confucian architecture in Chosun dynasty. The result of this study are as follows ; It is showed that the focus of Myojeong -inner -courtyard in Sammyo architecture may serve internal foci gathering things. And it is organized into the center of salemn space, place of the people performing the traditional rites, and the mental imageable center, space for ancestors, are embodied all together.

        The following analyses are the arrangement of class room windows, the actual measurement and the proper scope of the class room window by reviewing the architectural planning. 1. South-faced class rooms are the most ideal 5,000 Lux in minimum as the sky light illumination must be allowed in While studying in the south-faced class room. East or west-faced rooms are not good because of the direct light in the hot summer. 2. Louber must be at least 62㎤ wide because of h=73。 51' in sun height(?? = 36。 58' in Chung Ju) by July 20. 3. Sliding cut window types are more desirable than sliding window types in handling the window safely and easily. 4. The above analysis show that the proper scope in 19 ㎡.

        Post Modernism became a new vitality in architecture confronting with transition period since 1960. Robert Venturi was one of the representative architecture who leaded these transition period. Venturi specially emphasized the principal of Complexity and pursued deep insight and comprehensible common architecture and Humanism which would make vitality environment. Modern Architecture in the latter half of the 20th century understood the styles of architecture and illuminated the relation ship between Post Modernism and Robert Venturi's theory and works in the architecture.
