CLSR: Cognitive Link State Routing for CR-based Tactical Ad Hoc Networks

The Cognitive Radio (CR) paradigm in tactical ad hoc networks is an important element of future military communications for network-centric warfare. This paper presents a novel Cognitive Link State Routing protocol for CR-based tactical ad hoc networks. The proposed scheme provides prompt and reliable routes for Primary User (PU) activity through procedures that incorporate two main functions: PU-aware power adaptation and channel switching. For the PU-aware power adaptation, closer multipoint relay nodes are selected to prevent network partition and ensure successful PU communication. The PU-aware channel switching is proactively conducted using control messages to switch to a new available channel based on a common channel list. Our simulation study based on the ns-3 simulator demonstrates that the proposed routing scheme delivers significantly improved performance in terms of average end-to-end delay, jitter, and packet delivery ratio.

간호대학생의 주관적 행복감에 관한 연구

본 연구의 목적은 간호대학생의 주관적 행복감에 영향을 미치는 요인을 알아보기 위한 것이다. 자료수집은 2020년 4월 18일부터 5월 10일까지 간호대학생 3, 4학년을 대상으로 스마트폰을 활용한 앱 설문지로 자료를 수집하였다. 자료분석은 SPSS 22.0으로 기술통계, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson’s Correlation 및 Multiple Regression으로 하였다. 연구결과, 대상자의 주관적 행복감에 영향을 미치는 요인은 학업적 자기효능감(β=.28), 자아탄력성(β=18), 스트레스 대처방식(β=.16)으로 나타났고, 이 중 학업적 자기효능감이 가장 큰 영향을 미쳤으며, 이들 변수들의 주관적 행복감에 대한 설명력은 21.8%로 나타났다. 이에 간호대학생의 주관적 행복감을 높이기 위해서는 학업적 자기효능감과 자아 탄력성을 증진시키고 스트레스 대처방식을 많이 활용할 수 있는 프로그램을 개발하고 적용하는 방안을 마련하는 것이 필요할 것으로 사료된다. The purpose of this study was to investigate the factors affecting the subjective happiness of nursing college students. Data was collected from April 18th to May 10th, 2020 using a smartphone app questionnaire for 3rd and 4th grades for nursing college students. The data analysis was performed using SPSS 22.0, descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson’s Correlation and Multiple Regression. In the study results, the factors influencing the subjective happiness of the subjects were academic self-efficacy (β=.28), ego-resilience (β= .18), and stress coping style (β=.16). Academic self-efficacy had the greatest effect, and the explanation power for the subjective happiness of these variables was 21.8%. Therefore, in order to increase the subjective happiness of nursing college students, it is considered that it is necessary to prepare a method to develop and apply a program that promotes academic self-efficacy, self-resilience and can utilize a lot of stress coping methods.

Comparative Analysis of the Extracellular Matrix Composition in Proliferating and Involuted Infantile Hemangiomas

Background Changes in the composition of the extracellular matrix (ECM) occur between the proliferating and involuted phases of infantile hemangiomas (IH), and are associated with angiogenic growth. We examined the composition of the ECM in proliferating and involuted IHs and assessed correlations between the composition of the ECM and whether the IH was in the proliferating or the involuted phase. Methods We evaluated IH samples from a cohort of patients who had five proliferating IHs and five involuted IHs. The following ECM molecules were analyzed using enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays and immunohistochemistry: laminin, fibronectin, collagen type I, collagen type II, and collagen type III. Results The involuted IHs had higher levels of deposition of collagen type III than the proliferating IHs. The median values (interquartile ranges) were 1.135 (0.946-1.486) and 1.008 (0.780- 1.166) (P=0.019), respectively. The level of laminin was higher in involuted IHs than in proliferating IHs, with median values (interquartile ranges) of 3.191 (2.945-3.191) and 2.479 (1.699- 3.284) (P=0.047), respectively. Abundant collagen type III staining was found in involuted IHs. Laminin ${\alpha}4$ chain staining was clearly present within the basement membrane adjacent to the blood vessels, and was significantly more intense in involuted IHs than in proliferative IHs. Conclusions Involuted hemangiomas showed extensive deposition of collagen III and laminin, suggesting that differences in the composition of the ECM reflect stages of the development of IHs. This pattern may be due to the rapid senescence of IHs.

Surgical refinement of the purse-string suture for skin and soft tissue defects of the head and neck

Background: The purse-string suture (PSS) is a simple and rapid wound closure method that results in minimal scarring. It has been used to treat circular or oval skin defects caused by tumor excision or trauma. However, due to obscurity, it is not widely used, especially for the head and neck. This study aimed to modify the PSS to obtain predictable and acceptable results. Methods: A total of 45 sites in 39 patients with various types of skin and soft tissue defects in the head and neck were treated with PSS. We used PDS II (2-0 to 5-0), which is an absorbable suture. Minimal dissection of the subcutaneous layer was performed. The suture knot was hidden by placing it in the dissection layer. Depending on the characteristics of the skin and soft tissue defects, additional surgical interventions such as side-to-side advancement sutures, double PSS, or split-thickness skin graft were applied. Results: All wounds healed completely without any serious complications. Large defects up to 45 mm in diameter were successfully reconstructed using only PSS. Postoperative radiating folds were almost flattened after approximately 1-2 months. Conclusion: PSS is simple, rapid, and relatively free from surgical design. Owing to the circumferential advancement of the surrounding tissue, PSS always results in a smaller scar than the initial lesion and less distortion of the body structures around the wound in the completely healed defect. If the operator can predict the process of healing and immediate radiating folds, PSS could be a favorable option for round skin defects in the head and neck.

간호대학생의 학습몰입도 요인에서 사회적지지의 매개효과

본 연구는 간호대학생의 학습몰입도 요인에서 사회적지지의 매개효과를 검정하는 조사연구이다. 연구대상은 K지역 간호대학생 3, 4학년 173명으로 구조화된 앱 설문지로 자료를 수집하고 기술통계, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson’s correlation coefficients 및 multiple regression로 분석하였다. 연구결과 대상자의 사회적지지는 회귀계수가 .165에서 .036으로 감소하는 것으로 나타나 인지적 유연성이 학습몰입도에 미치는 영향에 대하여 완전 매개효과가 있었다. 또한 이러닝 기술환경은 학습몰입도에 유의한 영향을 주므로(B=.28, p <.001), 사회적지지는 이러닝 기술환경이 학습몰입도에 미치는 영향에 대해서는 부분 매개효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이들 제 변수들의 설명력은 23.2%였다. 따라서 간호대학생들의 학습몰입도를 높이기 위해 매개효과인 사회적지지 환경 내에서 학습몰입의 영향을 고려할 필요가 있음을 시사한다. 더불어 대상자의 학습몰입과 관련된 다른 변인들과의 구조적 관계를 확인하는 후속연구를 제언한다. This study is a research study examining the mediating effect of social support on the learning immersion factors of nursing students. The subjects of this study were 173 nursing college students in the K area, in grades 3 and 4, and data were collected using a structured app questionnaire and analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson’s correlation coefficients, and multiple regression. As a result of the study, the subject’s social support showed that the regression coefficient decreased from .165 to .036, which had a full mediating effect on the effect of cognitive flexibility on learning immersion. Also, since the e-Learning technology environment has a significant effect on learning immersion (B=.28, p <.001), social support was found to have a partial mediating effect on the effect of the e-Learning technology environment on learning immersion. The explanatory power of these variables was 23.2%. Therefore, it suggests that it is necessary to consider the influence of learning immersion within the social support environment, which is a mediating effect, in order to increase the learning immersion of nursing students. In addition, a follow-up study to confirm the structural relationship with other variables related to the subject’s learning immersion is suggested.

The purpose of this paper is to analyze the traditional values such as friendship, love, and filial duty in human relationship. The result of this study is that the writer infers that these factors have been changed with the times. For achieving the aim, the study has mainly focused on the excessive generosity of Antonio who is the magnanimous businessman called the merchant of Venice. Even though his devoted friendship toward Basssnio is a little bit beyond our commonsense, it was a commonplace in Elizabethan eyes. Nonetheless there were two debatable elements in his friendship to Bassanio. First of all, his excessive friendship may be regarded as a homosexuality to Bassanio. Because we could find some examples of this kind of friendship between Shakespeare’s characters in his plays, we can characterize the matter as an understandable case. Second, it is a possibility of danger of idolatry. Idol worship is forbidden in the Bible. The Bible says people should not love any creature more than the Creator. In connection with that, Antonio’s devotion toward Bassanio reminds the warning of the Holy Scripture. But this is an obvious fact that Shakespeare did not aim to give an instance of idolatry through Antonio’s sacrificial friendship. It would be appropriate that he’d rather contrast a difference between Antonio’s big love and Bassnio’s smaller one for suggesting a new paradigm of the ideal friendship in The Merchant of Venice. It also implies that it is getting harder and harder to keep the traditional values such as friendship, love, and filial duty relating to human relationship in modern capitalistic society like barren, heartless, mammonism city called Venice.
