Duplication or deletion of chromosome 17p11.2-p12 in CMT1 and HNPP peripheral neuropathy patients

CMT와 HNPP 말초신경증은 가장 흔하게 발병하는 운동 및 감각 말초신경계의 선천성 질환이다. CMT1과 HNPP의 유전적 원인으로는 염색체 17p11.2-p12의 1.5 Mb 지역의 중복과 결실이 각각 50%이상과 70% 이상을 차지하는 것으로 알려졌다. 본 연구에서 한국인 CMT1 및 HNPP 환자를 대상으로 중복 및 결실을 조사하였는데, 31 CMT1 가족 중 13 가족에서 중복을 보였으며 (42%), 24 HNPP 가족 중 19 가족에서 결실을 보였다 (79%). 17p11.2-p12 중복을 보이는 CMT1A 환자가 HNPP 결실환자보다 발병 연령, 발병 기간, 근육 이양성 및 족 기형성에서 훨씬 심한 증상을 보였다. Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease (CMT) and hereditary neuropathy with liability to pressure palsies (HNPP) are most common inherited motor and sensory peripheral neuropathies. The majority of CMT1 patients have a 1.5 Mb duplication in chromosome 17p11.2 while most HNPP patients have a deletion of the same region. In the analysis of Korean CMT1 and HNPP patients, each HNPP deletion and CMT1A duplication was observed from 79% (19 families) among 24 HNPP families and 42% (13 families) among 31 CMT1 families. CMT1A duplication patients showed more severe clinical symptoms than HNPP deletion patients, when we examined oneset age, disease duration, muscular atrophy, foot deformity and scoliosis.

고은 초기 시와 프랑스 상징주의 시의 비교문학적 고찰

본고에서는 고은의 초기 시에 나타난 상실에 대한 심미적 승화로서의 상징주의 시학이 애도와 멜랑콜리의 두 가지 경향성으로 드러난다고 본다. 특히 애도의 경향성이 두드러진 시편들의 경우 초월적 상징주의의 국면에, 멜랑콜리의 경향성이 두드러진 시편들에서는 인간적 상징주의의 국면에 각각 대응하여 나타나는 데 주목했다. 말라르메의 경우 상실에 대한 애도의 경향성과 암시성을 중요시하는 추상적인 시적 기법, 초월적 상징주의의 국면이, 베를렌느의 경우 상실에 대한 슬픔과 우울의 정동이 전경화 되어 드러나는 멜랑콜리적 경향성과 우수적 이미지, 음악성, 인간적 상징주의의 국면 등이 중요하게 나타나는 것에 본고는 주목하고 이를 고은의 초기 시 텍스트와의 영향관계 속에서 살펴 비교하였다. 사실상 고은의 초기 시텍스트에서는 이 각각의 경향성들이 둘 다 나타나고 있다. 즉 말라르메와는 누이, 바다, 창의 이미지를 통한 애도의 양상과 초월적 상징주의의 국면이, 베를렌느와는 우수의 정감과 가을 이미지, 쇠락과 소멸의 이미지 및 음악성을 통해 드러나는 멜랑콜리의 양상과 인간적 상징주의의 국면이 고은 시 텍스트에서도 소재와 정동의 차원에서 각각 상응하여 유사하게 드러나는 것을 알 수 있었다. 본고에서는 두 시인과의 유사점 외에 고은 시 텍스트와의 차이점들도 살펴보았다. 요컨대 본고에서는 프랑스 상징주의의 대표 시인인 말라르메(초월적 상징주의, 애도 차원)의 텍스트들과 베를렌느(개인적 상징주의, 멜랑콜리적 차원)의 텍스트들을 고은의 초기 시 텍스트들과의 비교 분석한 논의를 처음으로 시도 하였는바, 세계문학과의 연관성을 살펴 고은 시의 해석의 지평을 한층 넓힌 데에 본 연구의 의의가 있다고 본다. This author sees that poetics of symbolism as aesthetic sublimation about loss can be divided into two parts: the tendencies of morning and melancholy and transcendental symbol and humanistic symbol. Particularly, this study focuses on the point that Mallarméstresses abstract poetic techniques valuing the enunciation and implication of morning for loss while Verlaine emphasizes the enunciation of melancholy, image of sorrow, and musicality as sadness for loss and affect of depression are foregrounded. Yet, the text of Go Eun’s early poems exhibits the tendencies both. His text reveals similar aspects to Mallarméexpressing the aspects of morning as well as transcendental symbolism through the images of a sister, sea, or window and also Verlaine showing the aspects of melancholy and humanistic symbolism exhibited through the feeling of sorrow, images of autumn, images of decline and extinction, and musicality respectively. This study is meaningful in that it has first tried to conduct comparative research on the text of Go Eun’s early poems with the text of French symbolism’s representative poets, Mallarméé(transcendental symbolism, dimensions of morning) and Verlaine (private symbolism, dimensions of melancholy) briefly.

국내외 저명학술지에 발표된 무작위대조연구 초록의 질적 연구

In this study, the quality of reporting the Randomized Controlled Trial (RCT) abstracts was investigated. It was compared between abstracts in four major Korean medical journals, covered by SCI(E), and in the New England Journal of Medicine (NEJM), the most cited medical journal in 2010 (IF=53.484), published from 2007/01 to 2011/06. There were 57 abstracts in Korean SCIs and 50 in NEJM included in the investigation; among them, three from Korean SCIs and one from NEJM were excluded. A modification of CONSORT for abstract was used as criteria, including 16 checklist items. The conformity of the abstracts to each item was assessed, and the χ2 (chi-square) analysis was used to analyze the significance of difference between the two. As a result, the two groups of journals were statistically equivalent in six items; Korean journals were significantly better in two items, and NEJM were in eight. In conclusion, the quality of reporting of RCT abstracts was better in general in NEJM than in Korean SCIs. This does not mean the full RCT reports of NEJM are superior to that of Korean SCI; rather, it highlights the need for Korean journals to adopt the CONSORT for abstracts in reporting of RCT in abstracts.

심전도에서 조기재분극을 보인 특발성 심실세동

Early repolarization is a common electrocardiographic (ECG) feature found in young adults, men and athletes, and has been considered to be a benign feature for the last several decades. But recent studies suggest that early repolarization may be related to idiopathic ventricular fibrillation and sudden cardiac death. We report a young man, 35 years old, who had life threatening ventricular fibrillation and sudden cardiac arrest. He was evaluated for cardiac causes of ventricular fibrillation. There was no explanation other than that his ECG showed an early repolarization pattern so we treated him with implantable cardioverter defibrillator. Thus, we suggest that early repolarization may be related with life threatening ventricular arrhythmia.

색깔 속성은 객관적인가? : 타이의 논변을 중심으로

The question of whether colors exist either inside or outside the mind has been raised since ancient times. This paper critically examines Michael Tye’s objectivist replies to the subjectivist claim on the nature of color. Color subjectivists such as Cosmides & Tooby employ simultaneous color contrast phenomenon to support their position. One of Tye’s replies is that there are ‘Normal’ observers by which we can determine true colors. Another reply relies on the analogy to the simultaneous phenomenon of shape. I point out that Tye’s replies are wrong-headed not only because ‘Normality’ is groundless but also because Tye’s comparison between shapes and colors turns out to be disanalogous. Further, Tye’s claim fails to explain our ordinary mistakes on color perception. In conclusion, Tye’s objectivist account of the nature of color is far from satisfactory. 색깔의 본성에 대한 객관주의적 견해와 주관주의적 견해 간의 논쟁은 색깔이 대상에 속하는 본래적 속성인지 아니면 대상 이외의 속성과의 관계에 의해서 존재하는 것인지에 관한 것으로, 고대시대 이래로 논쟁이 되어왔다. 코스미데스와 투비처럼 색깔을 심적 속성으로 보는 색깔에 관한 주관주의자들은 그들 주장의 근거로서 색깔 동시대비 현상을 근거로 삼는다. 이에 대한 타이의 해결책은 두 가지이다. 하나는 어느 색 경험이 맞는지를 판별해 줄 기준이 되는 지각자와 지각적 환경이 있다고 하는 것이다. 또 다른 해결책은 모양 속성의 특징에 색깔을 비유하는 것이다. 필자는 타이의 해결책이 근거가 없을 뿐만 아니라 잘못된 유비를 사용하고 있다고 비판하고, 우리의 일상적인 색 지각 오류를 설명하지 못하기 때문에 색깔에 대한 타이의 객관주의적 견해는 잘못되었거나 부족한 설명이라고 결론내린다.

브랜딩·스타일링·마케팅을 결합한 스페이스 디자인 프로세스 연구 - 작품‘Fill the Red, Feel the Red'를 중심으로 -

본 연구는 디자인 분야와 마케팅 분야의 전략을 종합하여 전략적 연결점을 찾아내 요소들 간 융합을 이루는 사례를 제시하여 브랜드·스페이스·마케팅에서 새로운 방향성과 아이디어를 제시하는데 목적을 둔다. 이에 본 연구는 2017년 9월~12월까지 ㈜애경과 산업 연계하여 진행된 숙명여대 환경디자인학과 ‘브 랜딩·스타일링·마케팅’ 교과목에서 도출된 ‘fill the red, feel the red’ 프로젝트를 마케팅 및 디자인 프로세스, 결과물을 도출하여 그 과정들을 밝힌다. 아울러 본 연구는 브랜드 스페이스 마케팅에 대한 이론적 고찰을 통해, 브랜드 스페이스(팝업스토어)를 개발 및 스타일링하며 ㈜애경의 화장품 브랜드 ‘LUNA’를 브 랜딩, 스타일, 마케팅적 측면에서 종합적으로 연계하여 도출되는 과정들을 제안함으로서 향후 브랜드 스페이스 디자인과 마케팅 분야에 체계적이고 창의적인 방법들로 결과물을 도출하는데 기초자료로 활용하는데 의의가 있다.

Trimethylpyrazine이 조골세포 분화에 미치는 영향

Trimethylpyrazine (TrMP) is known to be derived from cocoa and nuts. In present study, we examined the effects of TrMP on osteoblast differentiation. The mRNA expression of osteogenic genes in MC3T3-E1 cells were determined by RT-PCR. TrMP induced the expression of osteogenic genes such as, inhibitor of differentiation-1 (Id1), distalless related homeobox (Dlx5), runt related transcription factor 2(Runx2), alkaline phosphatase( ALP), osteocalcin (OC). Alizarin red s staining was performed to measure calcium deposition. TrMP increased calcium deposition in MC3T3-E1 cells. These results suggest that TrMP was induces osteoblast differentiation in MC3T3-E1.

The purpose of this study is to know outer and inner characteristics of Bobos style regarded the latest fashion and to estimate the characteristics of fashion trend in 21st century and direction of fashion in the future. In terms of contentions of this studs we firstly studied concept, background, general characteristics which had been introduced in Sociology And then, we studied the effect which the style of Bobos had been given by investigating the concept and style of Hippies and Yuppies. Also, we analysed trend of Bobos represented in modern fashion and tried to examine outer and inner features of Bobos through the result of analysis. Bobos can defined as `Bourgeois Bohemian' who have both mundane desire about success and are high-educated elite class in information-oriented society. The fashion styles which had affected Bobos were psychedelic, naturalism, unisex, ethnic, layered, grunge of Hippies in 1960s and traditional, power-look, contemporary-look, sports wear, casual wear of Yuppies in 1980s. As a result of examining features of Bobos style, we can know that outer feature of Bobos style showed a reasonable harmony regardless of formalities and inner features showed a tendency to seek comforts. Also, Bobos style showed various and free styles, textile materials and colors and complex features to transcend the time and region, and culture.

저저항 SALICIDE Gate 공정 개발 연구

Formations of TiSi₂ thin films by a solid state reaction between Ti thin films and Si substrates and the effects of the conditions of Si substrates have been investigated. Low-Resistant C54- TiSi films were formed by rapid thermal processes at 750℃ on the undroped Si (100) substrate, and at 800℃ on the As or B-doped Si (100) substrate as well as on As or B-droped poly-Si substrates. Cross-sectional TEM analyses confirmed the formation of small-grained C49 TiSi₂films by rapid thermal processes at 700℃ on pre-amorphized poly-Si substrate by As implantation. The temperatures of the transformation to the C5 phase decreased in small-grained C49- TiSi₂films. Finally, low resistant C54 TiSi₂thin films were selectively formed on gate, source, and drain regions by SALICIDE process with pre-amorphizaton of substrates. Microstructures and electrical properties of TiSi₂ film were investigated. Sheet resistance of TiSi₂ film on 1.2㎛-wide poly-Si gates was 3.8~4.2Ω/□, and XRD results showed phase formation of C54 TiSi₂ films.

안와하부 골절의 임상적 연구

This study was aimed at furnishing the data of infraorbital wall fractures and aiding treatment. This is the retrospective study on infraorbital wall fractures. The patients were treated in the Dept. of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery of Chon-Buk National University Hospital from Jan. 1, 1996 to Sep. 30, 1999. The result were as follows : Male predominated over female by a ratio of 3.57 : 1. The most common reason was traffic accident(64.1%) . The elapsed time from injury to operation was average 10.4 days. The most frequent site of fractures was Zygomatico-Maxillary complex fracture(61.7%) . The highest department of associated injuries was neurologic Dept. (52.3%). The complication after fractures were the ophthalmologic(20.3%), esthetic(14.8%), facial numbness(4.7%) , etc in this order. The highest ophthalmologic complications was the enophthalmos(7%) .
