秋暉錫 연세대학교 대학원 1978 延世論叢 Vol.15 No.1
The EOQ model and ABC analysis were used as alternatives to the fixed reorder cycle inventory control system for the hospital management. Inventoris were classified into A, B or C groups according to the annual dollar usage value of the items. Representative samples were selected to be studied from each group. For each item, the EOQ was calculated to estimate the proposed annual inventory cost, which was compared with the actual cost that was determined from the past inventory records. Most of the savings with the proposed ABC-EOQ system would result from the high value items with the more frequent punchase.
Poverty amid Affluence in America
Choo, Hwi Suck 연세대학교 산업경영연구소 1973 산업과경영 Vol.3 No.1
Like the discussion as above illustrated, the many complicated causes can best be attacked through reorganized and radically improved employment, wage, social insurance, welfare, and supportive programs. However, on the contrary to most of poverty, the basic problems of the aged poor and the poverty of minority groups especially Negros can not be solved without a fundamental and unlikely reordering of the values of society. Therefore, the writer believes that the future poverty war will be probably the war against the aged and black poverty and the victory of the war can be attained through complete alleviation of injustices of age-ism and racial discrimination.
A Computerized Simulation Study of a Campus Bus Stop
Choo, Hwi-Suck 연세대학교 산업경영연구소 1977 산업과경영 Vol.4 No.1
To briefly summarize, this research was an attempt for better understanding of student bus traffic using computer simulation techniques. In conclusion, the author expresses the belief that this model is representative and depicts the activities regarding student bus traffic at a typical bus stop on the university of Georgia campus. Since this simulation model used a modified Queuing Theory approach and involved the scheduling of buses, a topic which has been studied under the transport action theory descipline, the author concludes that this study combined these two important areas under an operational situation. Another conclusion about the study is that the model is a basic contribution to the research effort in this area and is the therefore open-ended. It is not a panacea for the traffic congestion problems on the campus. With further research and/or appropriate modification to this model, it is concluded that the basic concepts obtained from this research can be used to simulate other bus stop activity in similar situations.
