성인에서 골격형 Ⅲ급 부정합자와 정상교합자의 근활성도에 관한 연구

The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship among the activity of the craniofacial muscle and craniofacial form and occlusal state. In this study, subjects were consisted of 23 male adults with skeletal Class Ⅲ malocclusion and 30 male adults with normal occlusion. The measurements in oral exam, lateral cephalogram, and E.M.G. recordings of anterior temporal, masseter, and upper lip muscles at rest position, clenching in centric occlusion, chewing of gum, swallowing of juice, were analyzed with SPSS system. The results were as follows : 1. As rest position upper lip muscle activity of skeletal Class Ⅲ group was significantly higher than that of normal group. 2. Both clenching and chewing masseter and temporal muscle activity of normal group were significantly higher than tat of skeletal Class Ⅲ group. 3. During swallowing of juice, upper lip muscle activity of skeletal Class Ⅲ group were significantly higher than that of normal group. 4. The activities of masseter and anterior temporal muscle during clenching and chewing were significantly correlate with hypodivergent facial form and number of occluded teeth. 5. The activity of upper lip during swallowing had positive correlation with mandibular prognathism.
Effects of Waterhammer Arresters and Air Chambers in a Simple Water Piping System of Buildings

Waterhammer pressure waves were measured in a simplified water piping system with and without arresters and air chambers by the operations of a solenoid valve installed at the end of the piping system. Experiments were performed to investigate the effects of the location of the arresters and the effects of the volume of the air chambers on maximum and minimum waterhammer pressures and wave frequency for various water flow rates.
Numerical Analysis of Ventilation Effectiveness using Turbulent Airflow Modeling

The ventilation effectiveness is calculated using the definitions of local decay rate and local mean age. A low-Reynolds-number k-ε model is implemented to calculate steady state turbulent velocity distributions, and a step-down method is used to calculate transient concentration distributions. Simulations are carried out for diffuser angles of 45, 90, and 135 degrees in a two-dimensional model of a half-scale office room. The results indicate that the local mean age is a better parameter than the local decay rate to quantify the local ventilation effectiveness. The nominal air change rate based on the assumption of complete mixing of room air does not provide the local ventilation effectiveness information. It is numerically proved that the local mean age distribution obtained from the transient calculation is equivalent to the steady state concentration distribution with homogeneously distributed contaminant sources.
Distributions of Local Supply and Exhaust Effectiveness according to Room Airflow Patterns

A pulsed tracer gas technique is applied to measure the distributions of local mean age and local mean residual-life-time of air in a half-scale experimental chamber, The airflow patterns in the chamber are visualized by a Helium bubble generator for three different exhaust locations. A supply slot is located at the top of a right wall, and an exhaust slot is at either bottom-left (Case 1), bottom-right (Case 2), or top-left (Case 3) location. Results show that the distributions of local mean age and local mean residual-life-time are different from each other, but both of them are closely related to the airflow pattern in the space. Included are discussions on explaining the variations of overall room ventilation effectiveness depending upon airflow rates for three different supply-exhaust configurations.

바닥급기 공조시스템은 재실자에게 신선외기를 효과적으로 공급하고 온열환경을 효과적으로 제공하기 위한 새로운 수단으로 시도되고 있다. 그러나 급기구가 인체에 너무 가까이 위치할 경우, 부분적인 열구배에 의한 불쾌감을 유발할 수 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 바닥급기 공조시스템이 설치된 공간내의 온도 및 기류분포 등의 온열환경을 측정하였고 적외선 카메라를 이용하여 급기구에 의한 인체 표면 온도를 측정하여 열적 쾌적성에 미치는 영향에 관하여 고찰하였다.

인간 감성변화의 기본인 피부온도 및 피복내 온습도 측정을 위한 시스템과 감성공학적 해석을 위한 보다 정밀하고 안정성이 있는 센서의 응답성 및 회로의 선형화에 대한 연구를 수행하고, 의복내 환경평가 및 실내 온습도 측정등의 다양한 감성공학적 해석을 위한 소프트웨어의 개발이 본 연구의 목적이다. 본 연구에는 손쉬운 온습도 변환장치와 풍부한 저장능력 등 다양한 분야에서 활용이 가능한 온습도 측정기와 이에 필요한 센서를 개발하고 측정기의 선형화특성을 평가하였다.

This paper investigates ventilation characteristics of an environmental chamber simulating an under-floor air conditioning system for isothermal and cooling supply air conditions. The tracer gas sulfur-hexafluoride (SF$F_6$) was injected into a supply duct using step-up and step-down methods. Local mean and room mean ages were calculated from the concentrations measured at internal points and at the exhaust duct. The air change efficiency of the chamber has been found to be greater in cooling conditions than in isothermal conditions. Also the room air change efficiency is not significantly affected but slightly improved by the presence of a supply diffuser.

This study investigates the air leakage and heat transfer characteristics of a commercially available rotary-type air-to-air heat exchanger with a fiber polyester matrix. Crossover leakage between the exhaust and supply air is measured using a tracer gas method for various ventilation rates and rotational speeds of the wheel. A correlation equation for the leakage is obtained by summing up pressure leakage and carryover leakage. The pressure leakage is observed to be a function of ventilation rate only, and the carryover leakage is found to be a linear function of wheel speed. The real efficiency of the heat exchanger can be obtained from its apparent efficiency by taking into account the leakage ratio. The heat recovery efficiency decreases, as the ventilation rate increases. As the wheel speed increases, however, the efficiency increases initially but reaches a constant value for the speeds over 10rpm.
온열쾌적성 평가를 위한 다채널 온습도 분포측정 시스템의 설계

본 논문에서는 온열환경 평가를 위한 다채널 온습도 분포측정 시스템을 개발하기 위하여 인체의 쾌적성에 영향을 미치는 온열환경요소를 분석, 이를 적용하기 위한 측정시스템의 설계개념과 요구사양에 관하여 고찰하였다. 정밀도를 확보하기 위하여 센서의 응답성과 회로의 선형화에 관한 연구를 수행하고 사용자 편의를 도모하기 위한 분석 소프트웨어를 설계하였다. 소프트웨어는 의복내의 온열환경과 실내공간의 온열환경을 분석하기 위한 것으로 나누어져 있고 각각의 소프트웨어는 전처리와 후처리 프로그램 그리고 측정시스템과의 통신 인터페이스를 포함하고 있다. 이와 같은 설계 개념을 반영하여 다채널 온습도 분포측정 시스템이 개발될 경우, 각종 온열환경에 관한 연구에 널리 활용될 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.
LOCAL MEAN AGES OF AIR IN A ROOM WITH MULTIPLE INLETS

This paper considers the age of air in a ventilated space with multiple supply inlets; the local mean age (LMA) of air is different from one inlet to another in multiple supply inlet situations. The purpose of this paper is to investigate theoretically the relations between the LMAs arising from each supply inlet and the overall combined LMA for all inlets. Transient concentration distributions are calculated using a CFD package in a simple room configuration with two inlets and one outlet, to verify the relations. Tracer gases are injected with a step-up method at each supply inlet individually, and at both inlets simultaneously. As a result, it can be found that the steady state concentration, with a continuous tracer injection at each supply inlet, works as a weighting factor for the corresponding LMA in calculating the overall combined LMA for the multiple inlet situations.
