“We realise the importance of our voice when we are silenced” The main focus in this paper is on women’s empowerment in the context of the Gender Responsive and Participatory Budgeting (GRPB) Project in Penang, Malaysia. It covers the author’s critical reflection of her own learning process in relation to her personal improvement and empowerment in terms of expanding her knowledge and understanding of gender equality. This is then related to her commitment to the community via the GRPB project. The problems, limitations and challenges in terms of achieving women’s empowerment will also be addressed, taking into consideration the experience gathered through various personal and community contexts. This paper is crafted from the personal experiences of the author as one of the Project Officer on GRPB Project in Penang for the last four years, beginning from year 2012.

The research in the literature review on Internet of Things (IoT) adoption from an individual consumer viewpoint is minimal and has not yet been fully investigated. Therefore, the objectives of this study are to analyze the growth of IoT in recent years and to conduct a weight analysis of the factors that affect acceptance intentions and real usage of IoT-enabled services. For the review, we analyzed 87 publications from 13 conferences and 54 journals published during the period 2014-2020 about consumer adoption of IoT. Following the study, we discovered an unprecedented increase in the number of articles published in the last seven years, which points to an emerging area with an enormous prospect. Furthermore, the weight analysis outcome was associated with the diagrammatic representation in this study. After that, this research developed a generalized consumer IoT adoption model based on the 12 best predictors derived from frequency count and weight analysis, which had the highest predictive power for calculating IoT adoption. This paper further acknowledges the study's theoretical and practical contributions, as well as its shortcomings, and proposes further research directions for future researchers.
Pre-Processing of Query Logs in Web Usage Mining
Abdullah, Norhaiza Ya,Husin, Husna Sarirah,Ramadhani, Herny,Nadarajan, Shanmuga Vivekanada Korean Institute of Industrial Engineers 2012 Industrial Engineeering & Management Systems Vol.11 No.1
In For the past few years, query log data has been collected to find user's behavior in using the site. Many researches have studied on the usage of query logs to extract user's preference, recommend personalization, improve caching and pre-fetching of Web objects, build better adaptive user interfaces, and also to improve Web search for a search engine application. A query log contain data such as the client's IP address, time and date of request, the resources or page requested, status of request HTTP method used and the type of browser and operating system. A query log can offer valuable insight into web site usage. A proper compilation and interpretation of query log can provide a baseline of statistics that indicate the usage levels of website and can be used as tool to assist decision making in management activities. In this paper we want to discuss on the tasks performed of query logs in pre-processing of web usage mining. We will use query logs from an online newspaper company. The query logs will undergo pre-processing stage, in which the clickstream data is cleaned and partitioned into a set of user interactions which will represent the activities of each user during their visits to the site. The query logs will undergo essential task in pre-processing which are data cleaning and user identification.
Botnet Detection Based on Genetic Neural Network
Chunyong Yin,Ardalan Husin Awlla,Zhichao Yin,Jin Wang 보안공학연구지원센터 2015 International Journal of Security and Its Applicat Vol.9 No.11
Botnet have turned into the most serious security dangers on the present Internet framework. A botnet is most extensive and regularly happens in today's cyber-attacks, bringing about the serious risk of our system resources and association's properties. Botnets are accumulations of compromised computers (Bots) which are remotely regulated by its creator (BotMaster) under a typical Command-and-Control (C&C) framework. Botnets cannot just be implemented utilizing existing well-known applications and additionally developed by unknown or inventive applications. This makes the botnet detection a challenging issue. In this paper proposed an anomaly detection model based on genetic neural network system, which joined the significant global searching capability of genetic algorithm with the precise local searching element of back propagation feed forward neural networks to improve the initial weights of neural network.

CEO duality and its impact on firm performance represent one of the most contentious issues in both academia and business. This study, therefore, aims to examine the moderating role of CEO duality in the relationship between intellectual capital Efficiency (human, structural, relational, Capital Employed, and Innovation) and firm performance (earnings per share and Tobin's Q) among Jordanian companies. The study sample consists of services listed companies on Amman Stock Exchange. The study used panel data for the period 2014-2018 with a sample size of 230 observations. SPSS software was used to analyze the collected data. The regression results indicate a significant relationship between, IC and firm performance. When CEO Duality is incorporated into the model as a moderator, there is an increase in the R2 by 7.9%. The findings from this study expand the theoretical underpinning of corporate governance research by identifying the performance implications of CEO duality within the Jordanian context. It also contributes significantly to the literature review about the current status of the practices taken in the intellectual capital components efficiency among companies listed on the Amman Stock Exchange. Findings from this study also provide contributions to the concerned policymakers such as the Ministry of Finance, Securities Commission, and Amman Stock Exchange in Jordan, to improve the current policies related to intellectual capital efficiency.
