        공공기관 정책홍보 영상 콘텐츠에 표현된 키네틱 타이포그래피(Kinetic Typography) 효과 유·무에 따른 시청자의 태도 분석

        디지털 시대에 맞춰 공공기관의 PR방식 또한 최근 크게 변화하고 있다. 중앙정부부처의 경우 2018년 정부의 디지털 미디어 소통 역량 강화를 위해 31개 부처에 민간경력의 홍보콘텐츠 제작 전문가를 채용하여 디지털소통팀을 구성하였으며, 주요 정책과 세부 정책정보를 알리기 위한 콘텐츠를 제작해 소셜미디어 등의 온라인 및 다양한 매체를 통해 국민에게 제공하고 소통하고 있다. 또한, 비대면 사회로 빠르게 전환되고 있는 시점에서 정보 제공자와 수신자의 디지털 미디어 소통 역량이 그 어느 때보다 중요해지고 있으며, 공공기관의 정책홍보 및 공공정보를 시민에게 온전하고 효과적으로 전달하는 것이 정책추진의 성패를 가늠하는 주요한 요소가 되고 있다. 디지털 플랫폼을 이용한 공공기관의 정책홍보 영상콘텐츠 제작은 정책수용자의 흥미와 공감을 끌어내야 하며, 제공되는 정보에 대한 전달적 기능이 작동해야 한다. 최근 제작되는 광고는 시청자의 주목도를 높이기 위해 다양한 제작 및 전달 방식을 적용하는 것이 경향이자 필수요건이 되었다. 오래전부터 정보의 효과적인 전달을 위해 타이포그래피(Typography)는 다양한 표현방법으로 사용되고 있으며, 최근에는 멀티미디어를 통해 이러한 타이포그래피에 시간적-운동적 특성인 키네틱(Kinetic) 요소를 융합해 시각적 주의성(Attention)과 호감도(Favorable attitude) 측면에서 메시지를 수용자에게 더 효과적으로 제공하고 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 키네틱(Kinetic) 타이포그래피(Typography)의 텍스트 움직임 효과가 적용된 공공기관의 정책홍보 동영상과 키네틱 효과가 적용되지 않은 일반 영상에 대한 시청자의 태도에 어떠한 차이를 보이는지 연구를 분석하였다. 그 결과 키네틱 효과가 사용된 영상이 일반 텍스트 영상보다 호감도, 몰입도, 지속시청의도, 추천의도에 있어 더 높은 평균 선호도를 보였다. 연구결과, 키네틱 타이포그래피가 일시적으로 시선을 자극해 주의를 끄는 데 그치는 것이 아닌 정보요소에 집중하며 정보를 전파하는데 있어서도 작용한다는 것을 확인하였다. 이는 공공기관이 제공하는 메시지의 즉각적 정보도달과 홍보확산의 성과를 이루어야 하는 정책홍보기획 및 제작자의 실무적 측면에서 키네틱 타이포그래피 형태의 콘텐츠가 이러한 목표를 이루기 위해 효과적으로 작용할 수 있음을 시사한다. Public organizations’ PR methods are also changing significantly in recent years. In the case of central government ministries, in 2018, to strengthen the government's digital media communication capabilities, a digital communication team was formed by hiring experts in producing public relations content from 31 ministries. The government has created contents to inform major policies and detailed policy information, and provides them to the public and communicates with them through online and various media such as social media. In addition, at the time of rapid transition to a non-face-to-face society, the digital media communication capabilities of information providers and receivers are becoming more important than ever. Policy promotion of public institutions and the complete and effective delivery of public information to citizens is a major factor in determining the success or failure of policy promotion. The production of policy promotion video contents by public institutions using a digital platform should elicit the interest and sympathy of policy recipients, and the delivery function for the provided information should work. In order to increase the attention of viewers, advertisements produced recently have become a trend and a prerequisite to apply a variety of production and delivery methods. Typography has been used as a variety of expression methods for effective transmission of information from a long time ago, and in recent years, visual attention and favorability are achieved by fusion of the temporal-kinetic characteristic of kinetic elements to such typography through multimedia. In terms of (Favorable attitude), it provides the message to the audience more effectively. Therefore, in this study, through a study, we measured and analyzed the difference between the policy promotion video of public institutions to which the text movement effect of kinetic typography was applied and the general video without kinetic element applied to the attitude of the viewer. As a result, the video in which the kinetic effect was used in the text showed a positive and significant difference in favorability, immersion, continuous viewing intention, and recommendation intention than the normal text video. As a result of the study, it was confirmed that kinetic typography does not stop at attracting attention by temporarily stimulating the gaze, but also works in disseminating information by focusing on information elements. This suggests that content in the form of kinetic typography can work very effectively to achieve this goal in terms of policy promotion planning and producers' practical aspects, which must achieve immediate information delivery and promotion spread of messages provided by public institutions.

      • Histone deacetylase-2 is a key regulator of diabetes- and transforming growth factor-β1-induced renal injury

        Excessive accumulation of extracellular matrix (ECM) in the kidneys and epithelial-to-mesenchymal transition (EMT) of renal tubular epithelial cells contributes to the renal fibrosis that is associated with diabetic nephropathy. Histone deacetylase (HDAC) determines the acetylation status of histones and thereby controls the regulation of gene expression. This study examined the effect of HDAC inhibition on renal fibrosis induced by diabetes or transforming growth factor (TGF)-β1 and determined the role of reactive oxygen species (ROS) as mediators of HDAC activation. In streptozotocin (STZ)-induced diabetic kidneys and TGF-β1-treated normal rat kidney tubular epithelial cells (NRK52-E), we found that trichostatin A, a nonselective HDAC inhibitor, decreased mRNA and protein expressions of ECM components and prevented EMT. Valproic acid and class I-selective HDAC inhibitor SK-7041 also showed similar effects in NRK52-E cells. Among the six HDACs tested (HDAC-1 through -5 and HDAC-8), HDAC-2 activity significantly increased in the kidneys of STZ-induced diabetic rats and db/db mice and TGF-β1-treated NRK52-E cells. Levels of mRNA expression of fibronectin and α-smooth muscle actin were decreased, whereas E-cadherin mRNA was increased when HDAC-2 was knocked down using RNA interference in NRK52-E cells. Interestingly, hydrogen peroxide increased HDAC-2 activity, and the treatment with an antioxidant, N-acetylcystein, almost completely reduced TGF-β1-induced activation of HDAC-2. These findings suggest that HDAC-2 plays an important role in the development of ECM accumulation and EMT in diabetic kidney and that ROS mediate TGF-β1-induced activation of HDAC-2.

      • Renoprotective antioxidant effect of alagebrium in experimental diabetes

        BACKGROUND: Despite the beneficial effects of alagebrium (ALA), a putative advanced glycation end-product (AGE) breaker, on diabetic nephropathy, its renoprotective mechanisms are incompletely understood. Since oxidative stress exacerbates diabetic renal injury through interaction with AGE, the present study examined the antioxidative property of ALA in db/db mice, mesangial cells cultured under high glucose or H(2)O(2) and a test tube. METHODS: ALA (2 mg/kg/day) was administered intraperitoneally for 12 weeks to 8-week-old db/m and db/db (D(ALA)E) mice or for 4 weeks to 16-week-old db/db mice (D(ALA)L). Oxidative stress markers (nitrotyrosine accumulation, expression and translocation of nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide phosphate (NADPH) oxidase subunits, cellular DCF-DA fluorescence) together with urinary albumin excretion and histological changes including mesangial expansion were measured. The concentration of H(2)O(2) in the presence and absence of ALA was measured by iodometric analysis in a test tube. RESULTS: ALA significantly reduced not only urinary albumin excretion and renal pathological changes but also accumulation of pentosidine and nitrotyrosine and expression of NADPH oxidase subunits in db/db mice regardless of treatment protocol. In mesangial cells, ALA effectively prevented not only high glucose- but also H(2)O(2)-induced membrane translocation of NADPH oxidase subunit (p47 phox, p67 phox and rac1) and protein kinase C isoform (α, βI and βII) and Nox4 messenger RNA expression concomitant with cellular reactive oxygen species. Furthermore, ALA directly decreased H(2)O(2) in a test tube. CONCLUSION: ALA has both direct and indirect antioxidant effects that may play important roles in ALA's renoprotective effect in diabetic kidneys.

        SYCL은 OpenCL 디바이스를 위해 추상화한 C++ 프로그래밍 모델이다. OpenCL에 비해 SYCL은 높은 생산성 등 C++이 가지고 있는 강점을 보유하며, 인텔이 이기종 컴퓨팅을 위한 개발 언어로 SYCL 기반의 DPC++을 출시함에 따라 많은 주목을 받고 있다. 우리는 여러 SYCL 구현물들 중에서 NVIDIA, AMD 등 다양한 GPU를 지원하고, 코드의 수정 및 추가가 용이한 hipSYCL를 채택하여 여러 연구를 진행하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 hipSYCL 구조 내에 AMD GPU를 위한 HIP 백엔드 플러그인을 대체할 수 있는 새로운 백엔드 플러그인을 제안한다. 이 플러그인은 HSA 런타임 API를 사용하여 기존의 플러그인보다 계층 구조를 줄이고 경량화하였다.

      • Korean Rural Development Administration's web based food and nutrient database management and validation system (NutriManager) – A report

        <P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>Food composition databases (FCDBs) are important to studies, industries, polices, and modeling related to diet and food. A FCDB has been provided by each country’s government organizations. In Korea, the FCDB has been produced and provided by the Rural Development Administration (RDA) and the national food analysis system (NFAS), a network between qualified laboratories by the nation. In this study, a new web based system, NutriManager, was designed to support integrated database management and collaboration between RDA and NFAS. The main goal of this system is to provide an efficient tool to support a series of workflow from sample enrollment to validation results. NutriManager has many features related to food and nutrient database management and validation; the computerized laboratory notebook, the stepwise processes of algorithms for validity assessment and determination of the representative value, and creation of a Korean National Food Composition Table (KNFCT). Therefore, NutriManager contributes to production of food composition data with high reliability and also can be used as a more efficient tool to link with other public programs using FCDB as a key database in Korea.</P> <P><B>Highlights</B></P> <P> <UL> <LI> An overall architecture to NutriManager’s database management is described. </LI> <LI> NutriManager assesses repeatability of analytical results by sample automatically. </LI> <LI> NutriManager determines the validity of representative values of food systemically. </LI> <LI> NutriManager contributes to highly reliable and historical food composition data. </LI> </UL> </P>
