        The applications of flower-shaped ZnO-UHMWPE fibers in photocatalysis and composites

        Ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) fiber is considered as one of the high-performancefibers. However, the inert surface of UHMWPE fiber limits its application in many fields. In order to optimizethe application of UHMWPE fibers in functional and composite fields, this work introduced a specialsurface structure of the UHMWPE fibers. The designed surface was formed by the flower-shaped ZnO (FZnO)crystals, which endowed the UHMWPE fibers with photocatalytic property. Moreover, F-ZnO on theUHMWPE fiber surface enhanced the roughness of the fiber, which improves the interfacial bondingstrength of fiber-reinforced composites. The experimental results showed that the surface wettabilityof the F-ZnO-UHMWPE fibers was improved significantly. Moreover, F-ZnO-UHMWPE fibers were usedas immobilized photocatalyst, and the degradation rate of rodamine B reached 53.3 %. F-ZnOUHMWPEfiber also could be used in fiber-reinforced composites fields. Compared with the pure rigidpolyurethane (RPU) and UHMWPE fibers/RPU composites, the tensile strengths of F-ZnO-UHMWPEfibers/RPU composites were improved by 130.3 % and 44.2 % respectively.

        Degradation behavior of deep UV-LEDs studied by electro-optical methods and transmission electron microscopy

        Degradation mechanism of 265-nm deep ultraviolet light emitting diodes (UV-LEDs) has been investigated by means of electroluminescence, current-voltage measurement, capacitance-voltage measurement, and transmission electron microscopy (TEM) equipped with energy dispersive X-ray spectrometer (EDAX). It is revealed that a major degradation mode of UV-LEDs may be the leakage current induced optical degradation. The current pathway is demonstrated by TEM with EDAX, indicating that the contact metals can partially interact with ptype materials, which accelerate the degradation of LEDs. The presented results can help to understand the degradation mechanisms and improve the reliability of deep UV-LEDs.

        SOC estimation of lithium-ion batteries for electric vehicles based on multimode ensemble SVR

        The state of charge (SOC) of a battery plays an important role in the battery management system (BMS) of electric vehicles (EVs), since this provides the available runtime for users. However, since driving conditions are various, the monitored battery data (voltage, current, etc.) are also different. If mixed data are used to build an SOC estimation model, the accuracy of the model is low. On the other hand, using only one kind of data set, results in an intelligent model with poor stability and generalization. To resolve these problems, a novel multimode ensemble support vector regression (ME-SVR) method is proposed to estimate SOC. In this method, considering the characters of battery data, the original data set is divided into multiple data subsets by a clustering algorithm. Then, an SVR estimation model is established for each data subset. Finally, the estimation results of multiple SVRs are integrated and the output is obtained according to the weighted average idea of ensemble learning. The experimental results under different driving conditions reveal that this novel algorithm can significantly improve SOC estimation accuracy and enhance the stability and generalization of the model.

        开展绿⾊信贷对于中国商业银⾏收益性的影响研究

        绿⾊信贷政策对于商业银⾏来说到底是⼀种响应政策与促进收益的双赢, 还是⼀种权衡, 在学术界⼀直是个争议。本研究的⽬的是探讨绿⾊信贷政策对中国商业银⾏收益性是否起到积极的影响作⽤。本研究基于16家中国较⼤型股份制商业银⾏2009-2019年共11年的⾯板数据, 使⽤静态⾯板回归模型, 以检验绿⾊信贷⽐率是否增长了商业银⾏的资产收益率。研究结果表明, 绿⾊信贷⽐率越⾼确实对商业银⾏收益性的增长有显著正向的影响, 且与滞后⼀年, 滞后两年的情况相⽐, 影响系数较⼩。我们认为, 中国的绿⾊信贷政策对于商业银⾏的可持续性发展及银⾏收益性都有积极的促进作⽤, 且具有显著的长期效应。相⽐于国有商业银⾏, 绿⾊信贷对⾮国有商业银⾏提升收益及降低风险具有更为显著的积极作⽤。 The credit policy is a win-win for commercial banks in response to policy and promoting income, or a trade-off, has always been a controversy in academia. The objective of this study is to explore whether green credit policies have a positive effect on the profitability of Chinese commercial banks. This study is based on the panel data of 16 large-scale joint-stock commercial banks in China for 11 years from 2009 to 2019, and uses a Static Panel Regression model to test whether the green credit ratio has increased the return on assets of commercial banks. The results show that the higher the green credit ratio does have a significant positive impact on the commercial bank's profitability growth, and the influence coefficient is smaller than the situation of one year lag and two years lag. We conclude that China's green credit policy has a positive effect on promoting the sustainability and the profitability of commercial banks, and has significant long-term effects. Compared with state-owned commercial banks, green credit has a more significant positive effect on non-state-owned commercial banks in increasing returns and reducing risks.

      • Inhibition of feeding behaviors using acoustic stimuli in aphids:Electrical penetration graph analyses

        Aphids feed on host plants by penetrating the stems or leaves with stylets. The feeding behavior of aphids consists of probing, penetration, salivation, and sap ingestion. To assess the effects of sound on feeding behavior, we monitored the stylet activity of the green peach aphid, Myzus persicae (Sulzer), using electrical penetration graph (EPG). The use of EPG was critical for determining the stage, frequency, and duration of feeding in aphids. We played back three acoustic stimuli of sine waves with frequencies of 100, 1000, and 5000 Hz to adult aphids. In the sound treatment group, the frequencies of probing, penetration, and salivation increased, whereas the duration of sap ingestion decreased. The results of EPG revealed that the acoustic stimuli may restrict aphid feeding by inhibiting sap ingestion.

      • Calling song evolution and speciation in three closely related cricket species

        To understand the evolution and speciation of closely related species, a multiple approach encompassing morphological, behavioral, and genetic analyses is necessary. In Korea, three species of Loxoblemmus crickets occur widely. L. campestris and L. equestris are morphologically indistinguishable, whereas males of L. doenitzi are different from the other two species in head morphology. The genetic analyses using the partial mitochondrial COI sequences showed that L. doenitzi diverged off earlier than L. campestris and L. equestris. The analyses of laboratory recordings revealed that distributions of calling song characters generally overlapped among three cricket species. However, the number of pulses in a chirp was two in L. doenitzi and four in L. campestris, but it was greater than or equal to six in L. equestris. Provided that females make mate choice based on this calling song character, the differentiation in this character may lead to premating reproductive isolation and may have evolved during the speciation proccess in these closely related species.

        Enhanced Electrochemical Activity and Chromium Tolerance of the Nucleation‑Agent‑Free La2Ni0.9Fe0.1O4+δ Cathode by Gd0.1Ce0.9O1.95 Incorporation

        For the sake of improving the electrochemical activity and chromium tolerance of the K2NiF4- type oxide, La2NiO4+ δ (LNO), with nonnucleation agents like Mn and Sr elements, the electrochemical performance and degradation were comparatively studied at two cathodes La2Ni0.9Fe0.1O4+ δ (LNF) and LNF-40wt%Gd0.1Ce0.9O1.95 (LNF-GDC) on the GDC electrolyte,where 5wt%Cr2O3 incorporation provides Cr-containing atmosphere. Compared with non-doped LNO, LNF shows a higherinterstitial oxygen concentration (δ = 0.298) and a lower electrical conductivity, where bivalent Ni ion, Ni×Ni , and trivalentNi ion, Ni⋅Ni , and trivalent Fe ion on Ni-site, Fe⋅Ni , were observed from the XPS measurements. LNF-GDC shows greatlyreduced interfacial polarization resistances (Rp), which are only half of those of LNF, indicating a better electrochemicalperformance. More importantly, no significant degradation of LNF-GDC in performance has been observed under exposureof Cr-containing atmosphere at 700 °C for 350 h, while Rp of LNF increased by nearly 20%, suggesting LNF by GDCincorporation can enhance the electrochemical performance as well as chromium tolerance for intermediate temperaturesolid oxide fuel cells (IT-SOFCs).

        Effects of Input Harmonics, DC Offset and Step Changes of the Fundamental Component on Single-Phase EPLL and Elimination

        In this paper, the expressions of the estimated information of a single-phase enhanced phase-locked loop (EPLL), when input signal contains harmonics and a DC offset while the fundamental component takes step changes, are derived. The theoretical analysis results indicate that in the estimated information, the n<SUP>th</SUP>-order harmonics cause n+1th-order periodic ripples, and the DC offset causes a periodic ripple at the fundamental frequency. Step changes of the amplitude, phase angle and frequency of the fundamental component cause a transient periodic ripple at twice the frequency. These periodic ripples deteriorate the performance of the EPLL. A hybrid filter based EPLL (HF-EPLL) is proposed to eliminate these periodic ripples. A delay signal cancellation filter is set at the input of the EPLL to cancel the DC offset and even-order harmonics. A sliding Goertzel transform-based filter is introduced into the amplitude estimation loop and frequency estimation loop to eliminate the periodic ripples caused by the residual input odd-order harmonics and step change of the input fundamental component. The parameter design rules of the two filters are discussed in detail. Experimental waveforms of both the conventional EPLL and the proposed HF-EPLL are given and compared with each other to verify the theoretical analysis and advantages of the proposed HF-EPLL.

        Flight and Hover Control System Design for a Mini-quadrotor Based on Multi-sensors

        Mini-quadrotor is difficult to control in the air due to its small size and light weight. This paper presentsthe flight and hover control system for a mini-quadrotor, including design and simulation of calculations and controllers. Firstly, the attitude and position of the mini-quadrotor are obtained by distributed multi-sensors. Since attitudecalculation of aircraft needs a number of combined rotations and vectors transformed by rotation, quaternionsare applied to express the attitude model. About error compensation of gyroscope and accelerometer, IMU_Updataalgorithm of Mahony filter are applied and improved to realize data fusion [1]. In order to realize accurate hoveringat certain position, UWB (UltraWideband) are applied to gain positional information of mini-quadrotor and correctthe antenna delay caused sensor error by base station positioning. The discrete Kalman filter of original data is usedto achieve the optimized estimation of the airborne position. Px4flow optical flow sensor is able to gets velocityinformation and avoid the noise problem, which is caused by differential of position data. Then, the mathematicalmodel of a mini-quadrotor’s flight and hover control system can be established. Herein, integral items are solved bythe integral separation and integral limiting to mitigate the serious overshoot and oscillation of the system caused bythe cascade PID. Finally, the simulation of the attitude controller and position controller are applied with the MATLABSimulink library. The simulation result shows that the designed attitude controller and position controller canenable the mini-quadrotor to fly smoothly, move in all directions and hover.
