Investigation on generating spherical gear with imaginary spherical cutter

In this study, an imaginary spherical cutter with a straight edge was developed and used to create a spherical gear pair. First, the mathematical equation of the imaginary spherical cutter with a straight edge is established. A mathematical software package was used to display the imaginary spherical cutter. The coordinate systems relationship between the spherical gear pairs and the imaginary spherical cutter was defined. The equations of the family of the imaginary cutter surfaces were obtained by using the homogeneous coordinate transformation matrix, and a mathematical model of the spherical gear pair was created according to the theory of gearing. Using tooth contact analysis and assembly errors, the effect of assembly errors on the transmission errors of the spherical gear pairs was discussed. Through a finite element analysis software, the contact models under assembly errors were performed, and the contact stress distribution of the tooth surfaces under assembly errors was observed. As a result, the spherical gear pair was most sensitive to the assembly error of the center distance. It is the least sensitive to the vertical deviation angle of the misalignment assembly error.

Mathematical model of S-shaped gear surface

In this study, an imaginary S-shaped surface rack cutter was used to create a gear pair with S-shaped surface. First, a mathematical model of the imaginary S-shaped surface rack cutter was constructed by using the geometry. Then, a family of the imaginary rack cutter surfaces was obtained through the homogeneous coordinate transformation matrix. The equation of meshing was calculated by using differential geometry. A mathematical model for the S-shaped surface gear pair was determined by substituting the equation of meshing into the family of imaginary rack-cutter surfaces. The kinematic errors of the gear pair were calculated by setting the assembly error and using tooth contact analysis. Contact between the gear and the pinion was simulated by using the interference function of a computer-aided design software package. To investigate the real contact between the pinion and the gear, a rapid prototype machine was used to manufacture a real gear pair. Three of the teeth on the real gear were coated with dyes. After running the gear for long time, the dyes on the teeth were scraped and rubbed, and they were evenly rolled over the teeth.

새 밀레니엄의 도래와 함께 찾아온 버블 경제를 따라, 수많은 내수 그리고 국제 경제의 하락이 있었고, 특정 국가의 세금 정책이 바뀌었고, 은행의 대출 정책이 변경되며 사람들은 유동 자산에 대한 확신을 잃으며 부동산 시장에 돈을 투자하는 경향을 보이게 되었다. 과거에는 조금 더 느슨하고 편안한 부동산 관련 세금 정책 덕분에, 많은 추측성 투자자들이 은행에서 대출 받은 돈으로 단기 부동산 투자를 했고 자신의 돈은 하나도 투자하지 않은 채 많은 수익을 냈다. 부동산 시장은 굉장히 빠르게 팽창했고, 이는 많은 사회적 문제를 야기했다 - 부동산이 실제 거주를 위한 것이 아닌 투기를 위한 것이 되자 많은 젊은 세대는 적당한 가격에 살 수 있는 집을 찾을 수가 없었다. 부익부 빈익빈이 심해졌다. 타국에서 적용 가능한 세금 정책을 검토한 대만 정부는 “특정 재화와 서비스에만 부과되는 세금” (일명 럭셔리세)를 2011년 6월 1일 도입했고, 이는 건물 또는 땅을 2년 이하로 보유하고 있었던 판매자에게 10에서 15퍼센트의 럭셔리세를 부과하는 것이었다. 입법의 목적은 부동산 가격의 안정 그리고 단기 투기성 부동산 거래를 줄이는 데 있었다. 우리가 수집한 통계에 따르면, 럭셔리세의 도입으로부터 지금까지는 럭셔리세의 도입이 부동산 시장에 영향을 끼치기는 하였지만, 아직 그리 큰 충격을 주지는 않았다. 그러므로 추가 수정이 필요하다. 이 글은 대만의 부동산 시장 변화의 큰 그림을 제공할 것이다. 부동산 시장의 배경으로부터 시작하여 문화, 럭셔리세 법안의 내용, 정부 발표문, 실제 시장 조사 내용 그리고 부동산 시장에 끼친 럭셔리세의 영향을 파악하기 위한 다른 국가와의 비교 그리고 추가 제안을 찾을 수 있을 것이다. Following the millennium bubbles, numerous regional and global economic downturns, specific country tax policy changes, and bank mortgage policy changes, people lost their confidence in liquid assets, and instead tended to put money into the housing market. In the old days, due to loose, relaxed, short-term real estate tax policy, many speculative investors used borrowed mortgage money from banks to purchase and sell real property within a short time and made huge profits without paying a penny from their own pockets. The housing market inflated rapidly which caused serious societal problems―when residential properties are not for living but are used as investment tools, young generations cannot find housing at a reasonable price. The rich get richer, and the poor get poorer, the wealth inequality widens. After examining other countries`s applicable tax policies, Taiwan government implemented “The Specifically Selected Goods and Services Tax Act” (so-called “luxury tax”) on June 1st, 2011, which imposed a 10- to 15-percent luxury tax on sellers who held buildings and land for a period of less than 2 years. The legislative purpose stabilization of housing prices and lowering the volume of speculative short term real estate transactions. According to the statistics we collected from the implementation of the luxury tax to date, it is proven that the luxury tax does have some effects in the real estate market, but not a big impact yet. Therefore, further amendments are needed. This article will give a big picture of the real estate market change in Taiwan. Starting from the background of the real estate market, culture, luxury tax Act contents, government reports, real market surveys, and comparisons with other countries to summarize the impact of the luxury tax policy on the real estate market in Taiwan and further proposals.

Investigation of a flea gear tooth modification

Gear has been considered as the greatest invention of human elements. One always believed that gears were man-made products, since there was absolutely no gear structure in nature. Until Burrows and Sutton [1] report, the leg transmission of the flea was observed by an electron microscope. They confirmed that gears were not artificial transmission components and gears would really exist in nature. This study proposed that an imaginary rack cutter with the tooth shape of the flea could be used to generate a pair of gears. Based on the undercutting condition and gearing theory, it was found that the displacement coefficient of the rack cutter was very large. However, overcut did not happen. In order to calculate the size of the gear and the tool to cut through an assembly error, the transmission error and undercutting conditions were calculated through tooth contact analysis method. The contact stress of the pair of gears was analyzed using the finite element method. In the case of a misalignment error, the gear pair was in the edge contact and the value of the contact stress reached a maximum.

Disulfide-Linked Head-to-Head Multimerization in the Mechanism of Ion Channel Clustering by PSD-95

The PSD-95/SAP90 family of PDZ-containing proteins is directly involved in the ciustering of specific ion channels at synapses. We report that channel ciustering depends on a conserved N-terminal domain of PSD-95 that mediates multimerization and disulfide linkage of PSD-95 protomers. This N-terminal multimerization domain confers channel ciustering activity on a single PDZ domain. Thus, channel clustering depends on aggregation of PDZ domains achieved by head-to-head multimerization of PSD-95, rather than by concatenation of PDZ domains in PSD-95 monomers. This mechanism predicis that PSD-95 can organize heterogeneous menbrane protein cluster via differentoa; binding specificities of its three PDZ domains. PSD-95 and its relative chapsyn-110 exist disulfidelinked complexes in rat brain,consistent with head-to-head multimerization of these proteins in vivo.
