As you know, there are lots of philosophical debate about the meaning of our life. But extremely to say, we can devide two kinds of approach for that problem. One is theistic approach, and the other is atheistic approach. In this paper, particularly, I want to research on the meaning of life according to christian approach made by Leo Tolstoi and Rick Warren. The most famous Russian, thinker and writer, Leo Tolstoi tried to find out the real meaning of life in his middle age. But he could not find the meaning and value of our life. Then, he concluded that our life is in vain after he surveyed the whole sciences and philosophies. When he focus on the 'faith' of ordinary people, he suddenly awakened that life has a meaning. He asserted that without faith in God, we have no meaning in our life. Then he turned his attitude from skepticism to real Christianity. The most famous American pastor and bestseller book writer, Rick Warren, who wrote Purpose-Driven Church and Purpose-Drive Life, has a theistic attitude toward meaning of life. He said to us about five purposes for our lives. We were planned for God's pleasure. We were formed for God's family. We were created to become like Christ. We were shaped for serving God. We were made for a mission. Without these five purposes, we can not see our life rightly. He asserted that we were born by God's purpose and for his purpose.

Le Globe 연구 : Pierre Leroux를 중심으로

Bien que 1'on considere le Globe, journal d'opposition sous la Restauration, comme un journal litteraire, il se veut revue internationale concernant le progres scientifique. Historiquement on ne souligne que 1'importance du role de F. Dubois et de Sainte-Beuve dans ce journal. Mais, pendant la premiere moitie de 1'existence du Globe (1824-1827), c'est P. Leroux qui ouvre les colonnes du Globe au jeune V. Hugo. P. Leroux est aussi "la vache a lait" de Sainte-Beuve. Il joue un ro1e important dans la rubrique scientifique. De 1827 a 1831, P. Leroux apporte au Globe une importante contribution du point de vue technique et meme intellectuelle. On considere P. Leroux comme, "la cheville ouvriere" du journal. A cette epoque, P. Leroux n'a pas de relations privilegiees avec les collaborateurs du Globe et se trouve souvent en desaccord avec les doctrinaires : Guizot, Remusat et leurs amis qui monopolisent les idees politiques du Globe a partir de 1828. Durant son sejour au Globe, P. Leroux reste fidele a la pensee de Saint-Simon. Il essaie de propager les idees de Saint-Simon, mais est decu par ses collaborateurs Dubois, Cousin, Guizot...(qui ne pensent qu'a acceder aux ministeres). P. Leroux prend ses distances avec les mouvements pseudo-republicains d'Enfantin. Il quitte Le Globe le 13 septembre 1831 et ce journal passe sous la direction de Chevalier. P. Leroux rompt avec les saint-simoniens parce que cette secte (Prosper Enfantin) desire abolir la monogamie et se mefie du proletariat.

Le l?? janvier 1999 est la date de la naissance de l'euro. Ce meme jour, l'euro devient la monnaie officielle de la France et de dix autres pays europeens soit pres de 300 millions d'habitants. Mais, comme Walter Hallstein, premier president du comite executif de la C.E.E., l'a deja dit, l'Europe n'est pas une creation c'est une redecouverte. Eepuis tres longtemps, on trouve des efforts pour l'union europeenne dans l'histoire de l'Europe. Meme, sur le plan litteraire, G. Sand souligne clairement l'ambition de l'union europeenne dans son roman, Consuelo. Elle songe a l'unite qui se reve1e en Europe ; elle signale que cette unite n'est pas le fait ni des gouvernements, ni de la papaute. Elle voudrait que l'Europe s'unisse grace a un rapprochement des opinions publiques, base de l'humanite.

It shows a marked trend increasing the products of organic agriculture with growing interest in peoples health and safe foodstuffs. This is in the cause of the consuming public using habitually of safety and tasty organic agricultural products for reasons of environment pollution, environment hormone and etc. Now in Korea, organic agricultural products must be approved by our government of its quality, there fore organic agricultural products, that of transition period, non- chemicals agricultural products and less chemicals agricultural products are in cultivation separately. With the increase in number of consumers in future, we have to extend the products of the organic agriculture and have to control more strictly the quality guaranteed. Also, we must grope for developing of our organic agricultural products so that our producer can work with a strong will to attain self-sufficiency of our foodstuffs, paying our influence of environment.

UR에 대응한 지역농업의 발전방안 : 시설원예농업을 중심으로 With an Emphasis on the Greenhouse Horticulture Farming

The production of greenhouse horticultural products in the east region of Kyungnam province is now increasing, though the productions of other argicultural sectors have been rapidly decreasing. However, as the agricultural market lies under the big pressure of the WTO system having a goal of free trade of all commodities, greenhouse horticultural farming in the region also meets with many new problems. To identify problems and prepare development strategies of the greenhouse horticultural farming for the easten Kyungnam region, 10 villages in Kimhae, Yangsan and Miryang areas were selected as sample areas and 204 greenhouse vegetable or floriculture farms were surveyed using prepared questionaires during March-April 1995. From the analysis of the regional survey results, the following proposals are suggested for the development of regional horticultural farming : 1) There were still old-fashioned greenhouse facilities such as tunnel-type vynil house, no heating system and man-power watering. Greenhouse facilities should be modernized and automated in order to overcome the severe labour shortage problem constraining the increase of the greenhouse farming size and the enhance the degree of the commodity value by uniform quality control and year-round production. The money for the modernization and automation of greehouse facilities ned to be supported by the central government, because farmers lack the ability to fund the investment. 2) Not many farmers visited agricultural extension officers to obtain cultivation techniques of greehouse horticulture farming, because extension officers lack the manpower to help solving the greehouse farming problems. Agricultural system should be adjusted to the changing agricultural production structure. Extension manpower specialized in greehouse horticultural farming need be increased and located in the regional extension offices. 3) The major reason of farmer's pessimistic prospect for the future of greegouse horticulture was the possibility of overproduction of some horticultural products. To avoid the overproduction, new entrants to the greenhouse horticultural farming of products already culticated extensively should be limited and the government support must be given to the existing greenhouse farms and major production areas. 4) Local goverment, associated agencies, and farmers should work hard cooperatively to increase the export of horticultural products especially to Japan, the largest importer of agricultural products in the world. Local governments and associated agencies can provide informations related to the export market and provide the fund for the facilities of standardization of export products. Farmers must observe the export contracts, even though the domestic price exceeds the export price. 5) Collective marketing activities of greenhouse products were found to be mainly limited to transportation and handling of sales revenue. Central and local government should support the formation and collective activities of cooperatives of specilaized producers to enhance the bargaining power of farmers. 6) The role of local government should be increased. They should actively participate in the orientation of regional greenhouse farming and play an important role in the marketing of regional greenhouse products.

불소처리된 치근상아질에 대한 심미수복재의 결합에 관한 연구

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effects of fluoride application on the aspect of shear bond strength of three aesthetic restorative materials to dentin. One light-cured composite resin(Palfique Esterite) and two light-cured glass ionomer cements(Fuji Ⅱ LC and Compoglass) were used in this study. 120 permanent molars were used for this study. The teeth were extracted due to the origin of periodontal disease. The crowns of all teeth were removed, and the remaining roots were embedded in epoxy resin. The mesial or distal surfaces of roots were ground flat to expose dentin and polished on wet 320-, 400-, and 600 grit SIC papers for a total of 120 prepared flat root dentin surfaces. The prepared samples were divided into six groups. Group 1, 3, and 5 were control groups and group 2, 4, and 6 were experimental groups. Sixty samples for experimental groups were treated with 2% NaF solution for 5 minutes. Group 1 and 2 were bonded with Plafique Esterite, group 3 and 4 were bonded with Fuji ll L(and group 5 and 6 were bonded with Compoglass. After 24 hours water storage at 37±1℃, all samples were subjected to a shear to fracture with Instron universal testing machine(No.4467) at 1.0㎜/min displacement rate. Dentin surfaces treated with each conditioners before bonding and interfacial layers between dentin and aesthetic restorative materials were observed under Scanning Electron Microscope(Hitachi S-2300) at 20Kvp. The data were evaluated statistically at the 95% confidence level with ANOVA test. The result were as follows; 1. Among the control groups, group 1 showed strongest bond strength and group 3 showed weakest. 2. Among the experimental groups, group 2 showed strongest bond strength and group 6 showed weakest. 3. Statistical analysis of the data showed that pretreatment of dentin with 2% NaF solution significantly decreased the bond strength of three aesthetic restorative materials to dentin(P<0.05). 4. SEM findings of fluoride treated dentin surfaces(2, 4, 6 group) demonstrated dentin surfaces covered with fluoridated reaction products. 5. Except group 4 and 6, resin tags were formed in all groups.

갑상선 세포에서 전사보조활성인자인 CBP와 CIITA의 인터페론-감마 활성 부위에 대한 조절 : CBP and CIITA on GAS(Interferon- γ Activated Site)-Mediated Transcription in Thyroid Cells

Background : In the previous stuides, we identified that the interferon-r activated sequence (GAS) in the 5-flanking region of rat ICAM-1 gene is major element for interferon-r-inducible expression of the gene in rat thyroid cells, FRTL-5. We here, investigated the role of transcriptional coactivators, CBP(CREB binding protein) and CⅡTA (class Ⅱ transactivator) in the modulation of the activity of GAS which could interacts with signal transducers and activators of transcription-1 and 3 (STAT1 and STAT3). Methods : The expression of CBP RNA and protein were quantitated in FRTL-5 after stimulation with interferon-r (IFN-r), thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH), forskolin and methimazole. Direct association of CBP with STAT were analyzed by immunoprecipitation. The transcriptional roles of CBP and CⅡTA in the regulation of GAS were assessed by the cotransfection with their expression vectors with reporters; 5-deletion constructs of rat ICAM-1 promoter or 8xGAS-luc constructs, into FRTL-5 thyroid cells. Results : The level of CBP RNA and protein were not changed by the treatment with TSH, IFN-r, forskolin and methimazole in FRTL-5, FRT and BRL liver cells. The CBP could be directly associated with STAT1. Furthermore, the overexpression of CBP significantly increases the both promoter activities; rat ICAM-1 gene promoter which has GAS element and 8xGAS-luc cassette constructs. However, the cotransfection of CⅡTA decreased the constitutive and CBP-mediated transactivation of rat ICAM-1 promoter and 8xGAS-luc cassette constructs. Conclusion : We identified that the two tanscriptional coactivators; CBP and CⅡTA has differential roles in the regulation of transcriptional activity of GAS drived promoter. CBP increases the GAS activity through the direct binding with STAT1, but CⅡTA inhibited the CBP-mediated transactivation of GAS activity.

My focus in this paper is to study about philosophical counseling and clinical philosophy. These two philosophical activities are very new kinds of research in philosophy. Philosophical counseling is a relatively new but rapidly growing field of philosophy. The philosophical practice movement originated in Europe in the 1980s, beginning with Gerd Achenbach in Germany, and started growing in North America in the 1990s. I want to apply this philosophical practice movement to our problematic situation. Philosophy has always provided tools for people to use in their everyday lives. Also philosophy was originally a way of life, not an academic discipline-a subject to be not only studied but applied. Philosophical counseling is a therapy for the sane, and is more art than science, and proceeds in a unique fashion with each individual. Clinical philosophy is a remedy of mental illness in our society. We knew very well that the ancient thinkers often characterized philosophy as 'medicine for the soul.' If we compare between clinical philosophy and philosophical counseling, then we'll see that clinical philosophy is a good treatment for social disorder but, philosophical counseling is a good therapy for individual mental discomfort.
