The purpose of this study was to investigate the methodology and tendency of physical education in order to make clear the hierarchy about the historical background in physical education and sports. The analysis was done 효 the review and classification of related journals and internet informations such as Journal of History of Sport, ICOSH(International Committee for History of Sport and Physical Education) was established in 1967 and HISPA(International Association for the History of Physical Education and Sport) was established in 1973. Those two groups were activated as the divided groups for the study of sport history. In 1989, the two groups were joined to one organization named as ISHPES(International Society for the History of Physical Education and Sport). The academic construction for the sport history was motivated by the publication of 'History of Korean Sports' in Korea, 1958 which was authored by Hyun Sung Na. The research in sport history was activated individually until 1980 but the research groups such as 'Korea-Japan Sport History Communication Seminar' or 'Reading Society for Korean Sport History and Philosophy' have been activiated since 1989 which resulted in the recognition of sport history as one area of sport science in Korea. The international conference such as 'North-East Asian Seminar in Sport History' was held in Taiwan, 1995, and the conference was held continuously in Japan and Korea biannually. The conference was a motivational event to unify the research groups in Asian area related to sport history. In the United States, Big Ten Symposium has been held since 1971 and NASSH has been held since 1973. Also, Journal of History of Sport has been published since 1974 by NASSH. Those conferences and journal have been regarded as the historical events with personal articles and research papers. The leading group in the sport history area in America is worked by several researchers such as Rovertra J. Park, Patricia Vertinsky, David K. Wiggins, Allen Guttman, Don Morrow. and Nancy Struna. In the furture, China will take a great role in the sport area because of her big portion of population, therefore, the study on the area of physical education of China will be another research area to be analyzed.

        鄭應根,이범재,林繁藏,姜信福,盧熙悳 師範大學 體育硏究所 1987 서울大學校 體育硏究所論集 Vol.8 No.1

The rapid change into high industrialized society is one of the major characteristics of modern society. This tendency has caused great demands for the highly qualified brains engaging in all fields of our society. Also, in the field of physical education, the contemporary and situational necessity of supplying high qualified researchers and scholars has contributed for the establishment of considerable amounts of under and graduate courses in most universities. And this currency is increasing gradually. In this point of view, the purpose of this study was to formulate a developmental plan for graduate program of physical education program. The procedure of this study was 1) to survey and analyze the current circumstances of graduate education in physical education, 2) to formulate the essential principles for development, 3) to suggest the developmental plans for graduate education in physical education. The following includes the suggestions developed by this study: 1. Qualifications and Examination procedures for Adimission In case of those who didn't major in physical educatipass fail pre coon, more than two years' studying physical education as a minor area or second major has to be preliminary required for them. As an alternative for aforementioned applicants they may take lectures of designated major subjects before entering into graduate course in physical education. The importance of foreign language test in entrance exeramination has to be decreased, while examination of major subjects, especially through oral test, should be the main evaluation measure to influence the pass and fay in entrance examination. 2. Curriculum Students should take pre requisite courses of designated subjects in each major field. And it is highly recommeded that double completion of a same subject which has the different contents and professor is permitted. Furthermore, it is also necessary to open various lectures of seminar and to establish cooperative courses among interrelated disciplines. 3. Scholarly Guidance The guidance for students in graduate course should give priority to academic guidance, and it is absolutely required for students' academic activities to secure the full-time professors of graduate school, to utilize more students as teaching Assistants or research assistants, to create scholarship funds for all of prospective students, and to supply the increased amount of research expenses. 4. Comprehensive Examination The current comprehensive examinations which has adhered to the formality should be substituted for accumulative examination controlled by the department faculty. Tests of foreign languages, English tests, should be revised because they were evaluated in entrance examination. Along with this line of thinking, it can be suggested to take a designated lecture of the foreign languages as substitutes for foreign language tests of comprehensive examination. In case of major subject examinations, the problems have to be set in required readings which are included in the selected lists of major readings. Both paper-pencil and oral test are recommended for testing method. Also, active utilizations of the committee consisted of faculty members can be thought as an alternative to administer and control the comprehensive examination. 5. Examination of Thesis The examination of master's thsis includes two public presentations and one final examination, and the doctoral thesis is composed of four preliminary examinations including two public presentations and one final examination. The concerned professors and graduate students related to thesis review should participate in the presentation sessions and have the to exchange their opinions on the topic of thesis. The members of the examination committee consist of three professors including the professor in charge in master's degree, and in doctoral degree, one of the five members should be appointed from other university for objec tiveness and fairness of the examination. and the other four can be chosen in the department. The candidate of the thesis should submit the ongoing study reports to the committee every two months so that the members of the committee can give a positive comments on the thesis positively. Upon the conclusions drowed, this study has suggested the improvement plans focused on the realistic revisions. The development of study which can present the idealistic revision plan of the development of school. education of graduate school considering the scholastic traits of physical education, its executing plan, and its contribution to the society required by modern society, should be regarded as part and parcel of graduatel evel research in that it is the stablishment of long-term development. The desirable way of the study is that the afore-mentioned realistic revision plans should contribute as a basic study to establish and execute the long-term idealistic development plan of the graduate physical.

The purpose of this study is to investigate closely the fatigue sites of drivers, the subjective symptons of fatigue, and the restrictions of time and space, moreover on the bases of these data, to develop the gymnastics to maximize the effects of fatigue recovery of drivers during driving. Accordingly, to develop the gymnastics for drivers, the authers investigated average driving time per day, actual conditions of the gymnastics execution, needs for the gymnastics execution, and the fatigue sites and the symptions during or after driving. The resume of the study is as fallows; Research revealed that most of drivers used to drive three hours and over per day (83.63%), to feel actually necessity of the gymnastics during driving (91.37%). Neverthless, research revealed that a half and over of drivers used not to carry out the gymnastics during driving (62.17%), because drivers has no the practical gymnastics (58.46%) and were pressed for time (41.50%). While the fatigue sites of drivers during and after driving were disclosed similarly in sequence of eye, waist, neck, leg, and knee. Even there is a great difference among drivers, research revealed that drivers used to feel fatigue for the most parts of body. For these reasons, the gymnastics development for drivers was aimed to fully simulate the fatigue sites in order to animate the blood circulation of the muscles, to activate the neurotransmitters of the central nervous system.
