Pharmacophore Development for Anti-Lung Cancer Drugs

Lung cancer is one particular type of cancer that is deadly and relatively common than any other. Treatment is with chemotherapy, radiation therapy and surgery depending on the type and stage of the disease. Focusing on drugs used for chemotherapy and their associated side effects, there is a need to design and develop new anti-lung cancer drugs with minimal side effects and improved efficacy. The pharmacophore model appears to be a very helpful tool serving in the designing and development of new lead compounds. In this paper, pharmacophore analysis of 10 novel anti-lung cancer compounds was validated for the first time. Using LigandScout the pharmacophore features were predicted and 3D pharmacophores were extracted via VMD software. A training set data was collected from literature and the proposed model was applied to the training set whereby validating and verifying similar activity as that of the most active compounds was achieved. Therefore pharmacophore develoipment could be recommended for further studies.
𝜂-RICCI SOLITONS ON 𝜖 - LP-SASAKIAN MANIFOLDS WITH A QUARTER-SYMMETRIC METRIC CONNECTION

In this paper, we study ${\eta}$-Ricci solitons on ${\epsilon}$-LP-Sasakian manifolds with a quarter-symmetric metric connection satisfying certain curvature conditions. In particular, we have discussed that the Ricci soliton on ${\epsilon}$-LP-Sasakian manifolds with a quarter-symmetric metric connection satisfying certain curvature conditions is expanding or steady according to the vector field ${\xi}$ being timelike or spacelike. Moreover, we construct 3-dimensional examples of an ${\epsilon}$-LP-Sasakian manifold with a quarter-symmetric metric connection to verify some results of the paper.
Image-to-Image Translation with GAN for Synthetic Data Augmentation in Plant Disease Datasets

In recent research, deep learning-based methods have achieved state-of-the-art performance in various computer vision tasks. However, these methods are commonly supervised, and require huge amounts of annotated data to train. Acquisition of data is an additional costly effort, particularly for the tasks where it becomes challenging to obtain large amounts of data considering the time constraints and the requirement of professional human diligence. In this paper, we present a data level synthetic sampling solution to learn from small and imbalanced data sets using Generative Adversarial Networks (GANs). The reason for using GANs are the challenges posed in various fields to manage with the small datasets and fluctuating amounts of samples per class. As a result, we present an approach that can improve learning with respect to data distributions, reducing the partiality introduced by class imbalance and hence shifting the classification decision boundary towards more accurate results. Our novel method is demonstrated on a small dataset of 2789 tomato plant disease images, highly corrupted with class imbalance in 9 disease categories. Moreover, we evaluate our results in terms of different metrics and compare the quality of these results for distinct classes.

In the present paper, we characterize quasi-Sasakian 3-manifolds admitting 𝜂-Ricci solitons. Finally, the existence of 𝜂-Ricci soliton in a quasi-Sasakian 3-manifold has been proved by a concrete example.

The objective of the present paper is to study certain curvature conditions in Kenmotsu manifolds with respect to the semi-symmetric non-metric connection. Finally, we construct an example of 5-dimensional Kenmotsu manifold with respect to the semi-symmetric non-metric connection to verify some results of the paper.

Moreover, we have discussed Ricci symmetries in an f-Kenmotsu 3-manifold with respect to the semi-symmetric metric connection. In the paper, we also provided an example of f-Kenmotsu 3-manifolds, where f is a smooth function.
