잎새버섯(Grifola frondosa)의 균사체와 다당류 생산을 위한 최적 배양조건

The influences of pH and medium composition on mycelial growth and exopolysaccharide (EPS) production of Grifola frondosa were investigated in shake flasks. The optimal initial pH for mycelial growth and ESP production were found to be 4.0. The optimal carbon and nitrogen sources were brown sugar (0.33 g/100 ㎖) and skim milk(0.52 g/100 ㎖), respectively. Under the optimized conditions, a mycelial biomass of 0.65 g/100 ㎖ and an EPS yields of 0.075 g/100 ㎖ were obtained in 7 days. The results strongly suggest that EPS production from G. frondosa is growth-associated. After submerged culture in optimal culture medium, the polysaccharide from the culture broth were extracted and purified from mycelial culture broth by ethanol precipitation method. In vitro cytotoxicity tests, crude polysaccharide were not cytotoxic against macrophage cell line, such as Raw 264.7 at the concentration of 10 ug/㎖. EtOH extracted-polysaccharide generated 24.6 uM of nitric oxide (NO) when cultured with Raw 264.7 cell at the concentration of 1 ug/㎖. Therefore, the results suggest that G. frondosa-derived β-glucan from new synthetic medium (LBL) may exert its immunostimulating activities with similar potency to LPS.

Ammonia is considered a promising hydrogen carrier due to its high hydrogen density and liquefaction temperature. Considering that the energy efficiency generally decreases as chemical conversion is repeated, it is more efficient to directly use ammonia as a fuel for fuel cells. However, catalysts in direct ammonia fuel cells have the critical issues of sluggish ammonia oxidation reaction (AOR) rate and poisoning of reaction intermediates. In particular, the use of precious metal as cathodic catalysts has been limited due to ammonia crossover and poisoning. In this study, we introduce Fe-based single-atom catalysts with selective activity for the oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) even in the presence of ammonia. As the Fe content increased, the single-atom structure of the catalysts changed into Fe nanoparticles or carbides. Among our Fe–N–C catalysts, FeNC-50 with a Fe loading amount of 0.34 wt% showed the highest ORR performance regardless of the ammonia concentration. In particular, the difference in activity between the catalysts increased as the concentration increased. The FeNC-50 catalyst showed remarkable stability after 1000 cycles. Therefore, we believe that single-atom dispersion is an important factor in the development of stable non-precious catalysts with high activity and inactivity for the ORR and AOR, respectively.
A Study on the Restructuring and Cavitation of the Data-based Pick-up and Delivery Business

The recent rapid growth of the parcel delivery market has led to a rapid increase in the volume of traffic in urban logistics centers. Excessive competition among courier companies and a lack of logistics infrastructure in urban areas have seriously reduced service quality and profitability and have led to traffic congestion in urban areas as well as environmental problems. This study develops a model for integrating services among more than two courier companies for the same service area by proposing a way to design and assign routes for luggage delivery to each participating company. We verify the results of the proposed integration and cooperative operation model by comparing performance indicators (including total cost) between two routing approaches, the dynamic and fixed models, based on the demand pattern. The proposed model may enable a reduction in traffic congestion and environmental problems caused by courier services in urban areas. It may also address the profitability problem caused by the overheated competition in the courier business.
Determination of Cu site in L10-FePtCu alloy using ALCHEMI method

The Cu site in L10-ordered ternary FePtCu alloy was quantitatively determined using atom location by channeling enhanced microanalysis (ALCHEMI). The lattice parameter measured by XRD result was a = 0.388 ± 0.0003 nm and c = 0.369 ± 0.0009 nm with an axial ratio c/a of 0.951 ± 0.0003 for ternary L10-ordered FePtCu phase. The alloy composition of bulk ternary L10- ordered FePtCu phase was Fe40Pt50.4Cu9.6 measured by inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometer (ICP-AES). The ALCHEMI result obtained from calculation of the characteristic X-ray spectra demonstrates Cu almost occupies the Fe site in ternary L10-ordered FePtCu alloy.

[OBJECTIVES] This study aims to investigate the effects of instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization (IASTM) on ankle range of motion (ROM) and balance in older women. [METHODS] The 20 older women with a history of falls participated in the study, and the study subjects were randomly divided into the IASTM group (n=10) and control group (n=10). [RESULTS] There were no significant interactions between group and time for ankle ROM and functional reach after 8 weeks of IASTM on older women (P>0.05). Meanwhile, there were significant interactions between group and time for one-leg standing and star excursion balance (P<0.05), and in particular, the IASTM group had greater improvements compared to the control group. [CONCLUSION] In conclusion, the regular application of IASTM has been shown to improve the balance of older women with a history of falls.
A study on the changes in attractive force of magnetic attachments for overdenture

PURPOSE Although magnetic attachment is used frequently for overdenture, it is reported that attractive force can be decreased by abrasion and corrosion. The purpose of this study was to establish the clinical basis about considerations and long term prognosis of overdenture using magnetic attachments by investigating the change in attractive force of magnetic attachment applied to the patients. MATERIALS AND METHODS Among the patients treated with overdenture using magnetic attachments in Dankook University Dental Hospital, attractive force records of 61 magnetic attachments of 20 subjects who re-visited from July 2013 to June 2014 were analyzed. Dental magnet tester (Aichi Micro Intelligent Co., Aichi, Japan) was used for measurement. The magnetic attachments used in this study were Magfit IP-B Flat, Magfit DX400, Magfit DX600 and Magfit DX800 (Aichi Steel Co., Aichi, Japan) filled with Neodymium (NdFeB), a rare-earth magnet. RESULTS Reduction ratio of attractive force had no significant correlation with conditional variables to which attachments were applied, and was higher when the maintenance period was longer (P<.05, r=.361). Reduction ratio of attractive force was significantly higher in the subject group in which attachments were used over 9 years than within 9 years (P<.05). Furthermore, 16.39% of total magnetic attachments showed detachment of keeper or assembly. CONCLUSION Attractive force of magnetic attachment is maintained regardless of conditional variables and reduction ratio increased as the maintenance period became longer. Further study on adhesive material, attachment method and design improvement to prevent detachment of magnetic attachment is needed.
