        Along with the rapid economic growth, our clothing life and textile industry have been made a remarkable progress. The level of textile industry is expected to join the ranks of advanced countries such as the U.S. and Japan in a few years. Concurtrently our clothing life has been improved in meterial and fashion alike. In addition he marketing channel is rapidly shifting from ordermade to ready made as other advanced countries. these changes are urging us to examine the current educational system of our science at college to realign it in parallel with them. Nothing such a necessity, I made an analysis on the current curiculum in terms of their specialities in this report, namely, Wether they were differently functioning as the name of subject implied. In doing so, I reached a Conclusion that there were no substantial differences among the subjects in each college. On the contrary, they were rather similar to each other. In other words, all they were dealing with similar contents only with emphasis on designing and construction. It makes a good contrast with the those of the U.S. Each of their curriculum has its own speciality as the terminology implies, and as students advance to senior classes, the curricular system diversified becomes so as to let them have specialty education. In addition, merchandising was included as one of major subjects in which they were covering announcement the way of using mass media. In doing so, they were efficently met with the ready-made clothing days. I think, in each college their curricula must have its own specialty, and we are now in the stage where we mast introduce the subject of merchandising and announcement as one of our curriculum That is why we have already been in ready-made clothing days.

        저선량 방사선 조사 시 종자수분함량이 채소류의 발아와 초기생장에 미치는 영향

        채소종자의 발아와 초기생장에 대한 저선량 방사선과 종자수분함량의 영향을 알아보고자 배추, 무우, 고추, 호박, 참박 각각의 건조종자와 습윤종자에 저선량 감마선을 0~20Gy 수준으로 조사하였다. 수분함량을 상이하게 하여 관찰한 발아와 초기생장에 미치는 저선량 방사선 효과는 작물종에 따라 다르게 나타났다. 발아율의 경우는 건조종자보다 습윤종자에서 대체로 높았으며 저선량 효과는 배추와 호박의 습윤종자 4Gy와 2Gy에서 각각 33%와 13% 증가하여 뚜렷한 효과를 보였고, 참박은 건조종자 4~8Gy에서 높았다. 초기생장은 습윤종자에서 뚜렷한 효과를 보여 배추와 무는 10Gy, 호박은 2Gy, 참박은 8Gy에서 6~26% 정도 증가하였다. 이러한 초기생장 촉진효과는 저선량방사선과 수분함량 상호간에 유의적인 차이를 보였으며 특히 배추와 참박에서 가장 높았다. 즉, 채소 종자의 수분함량을 상이하게 하여 저선량 방사선의 효과를 조사한 결과 적정 수분함량에서 발아와 유묘생장이 촉진됨을 확인할 수 있었다. To investigate the effects of low dose gamma radiation and seed moisture content (SMC) on germination and early growth of vegetable crops, seeds of Chinese cabbage (Brassica camperstris L.), radish (Raphanus sativus L.), red pepper (Capcicum annuum L.), figleaf gourd (Cucurbita ficifolia Bouche) and bottle gourd (Lagenaria siceraria Stand), with different SMC were irradiated with different doses (0-20 ㏉) of gamma-ray by irradiator ^(60)Co, ca.150 TBq of capacity, AECL). Vegetable crops in which low dose gamma radiation was irradiated in seeds with different moisture content showed different response in seed germination and early growth to low dose gamma radiation. The germination rate of Chinese cabbage, figleaf ground and bottle gourd irradiated with 2-8 ㏉ showed interactive responses against relative SMC. Also, significant interactions occurred for the early growth between those factors. The stimulating effects of gamma radiation were more pronounced for hydrated seeds of Chinese cabbage, radish, figleaf gourd and bottle gourd showing prominent responses with 2-10 Gy irradiation, particularly for Chinese cabbage and bottle gourd. These results suggest that radiation may promote germination and early growth of vegetable crops through interaction with SMC.

      • 신경망을 이용한 필기체 문자 인식에 관한 연구

        In this paper, a hand-written character recognition method using a neural network is proposed. The system preprocesses original images and gets feature vectors by extracting features from the preprocessed images. The extracted features are recognized by a neural network. A 3-layer feed-forward neural network is used as the recognition network, and the neural network is trained by backpropatation algorithm. The recognition rate of the system is comparable to the other methods [3, 4, 10] and the system is more adative to a new pattern by its learning ability, However, the perform ance of the system is dependent on the preprocessing and the feature extraction stages.

      • Calcomp HCBS를 이용한 Plotting 시스템의 개발

        In this paper, we developed a plotting system named CAPLOT(Calcomp Plotting system), Our system receives an ESSI code input file and translates it to the corresponding HCBS function calls. The translated function calls are transferred to the Calcomp plotter controller and the plotter draws according to the function calls. Our system can process both 2-axis and 3-axis cutting information. In the case of 3-axis cutting data, the cutting data of torch number 2 are stored in a temporary file, which is processed after all of the input data are procesed.

        퇴축된 상악골에서 Le Fort Ⅰ 골절단술과 개재골 이식술을 이용한 동시적 인공치아식립술

        The resorption pattern in the edentulous maxilla can lead to a class Ⅲ skeletal discrepancy and lack of sufficient bone volume for implant insertion. The maxillofacial restoration with bone grafts and implants should be provide the facial morphology, optimal function and esthetic acceptability. Le Fort I osteotomy with interpositional bone grafting have been usen to insert implant in severely atrophic maxilla. The five patients were performed by the same surgeon from 1992 in the SNUDH. The patients were followed up with clinical and radiographic examinations. Thirtythree implants were initially inserted in the bone grafts at the same time of Le Fort I osteotomy. Five out of the thirtythree implants were removed. The implant survival rate of this method was of 84%. We evaluated the state of graft bone in one patient using the MRP(multiplanar reformating)-CT. The mean resorption of the graft bone was 2.25㎜ between 6 months to 4 years postoperatively. In severely atrophic maxillae the Le Fort I osteotomy with simultaneous interpositional bone grafting and implant installation will provide good clinical result, optimal function and esthetic acceptability.

        구강 악성 흑색종에서 PCNA 발현에 관한 면역조직화학적 연구

        Malignant melanoma arising from the mucosa of head and neck region was rare and showed poor prognosis. Some of malignant melanoma were transformed from benign melanotic lesion. Malignant melanoma had high cellular proliferation and rapid growth. The percentage of PCNA-positive cell (labeling index) is high in many malignant tumor. So we compared the pattern of PCNA expression in the melanotic lesion. We performed the immunohistochemical study in malignant melanoma(19 cases), benign melanotic macule(24 cases) and normal mucosa(20 cases) were diagnosed in Seoul National University Dental Hospital between 1980 and 2000. Positive PCNA staining was found mainly in malignant melanoma. The mean PCNA expression in malignant melanoma, melanotic macule, normal tissue were 29.2%, 1.4%, 0%, respectively. Significant differences in PCNA expression were noted between malignant melanoma and melanotic macule(p<0.01), normal mucosa(p<0.01). These result suggested that the PCNA expression seems to be used as a diagnostic indicator for malignancy in malignant melanoma and melanotic lesion.

        This paper Backstepping design with Sliding Mode Control for AC Servo Systems. The robustness of sliding mode control can be used for backstepping technique to solve the uncertainty problem. A scalar design using Lyapunov function is developed for high-order systems. The result can be easily extended to non-linear system and used with many other sliding mode control results.

      • 한국에서 동물간호사제도의 필요성과 자격시험에 대한 분석 및 평가

        The study examined qualification test of the 1st term Animal Nurse Technician and conducted questionnaire survey as well as site investigation to settle Animal Nurse Technician system in Korea. The objects were undergraduates, graduates and director of animal hospital. 115 applicants applied to the qualification test of animal specialists, and 50 applicants passed the test to record 43.47% of ratio of successful applicants. The subjects having relative difficulty were anatomy physiology and public hygiene to record 19 points in average: In particular, the anatomy physiology recorded 35 points of the highest score and 6 points of the lowest score to have the highest deviation and to require adjustment of difficulties. 89.2% of the interviewee supported needs of animal nurse technician system in Korea to show positive response. At the survey of actual conditions of recruitment of animal nurse technicians at animal hospitals, 28.6% of the interviewee was employing the technicians, and 35.7% had employment plan, and 32.1% wanted to employ them under good conditions. In other words, 96 4% of the interviewee responded positively, while no more than 3.6% did negatively. In Korea, the animal nurse technicians had roles as follows: The animal hospitals gave priority to reception service and customer controls followed by medical examination support,whilethecollegesdidtomedicalexaminationsupport. To differentiate hospitals in accordance with the increase of number of animal hospitals, the animal hospitals should employ animal nurse technicians having specialty and qualifications on animal nurse technician examination. In particular, the roles and demand of animal nurse technicians were expected to grow because of developed technologies of veterinary medical science, development of medical supplies and instrument, and the increase of aged animals, etc. Therefore, job analysis on animal nurse technicians should be done to adjust the subjects of qualification test and to develop questions.
