The parameters of dynamic mechanical performance at high strain rates are of significant importance in the structural designs and numerical simulations. The aim of this paper is to study the strain rate sensitivity of self-compacting rubberized concrete (SCRC) in the dynamic compressive, splitting tensile and bending tests by using the split Hopkinson pressure bar (SHPB) technique. The failure modes, stress-strain curves and dynamic strength changes of SCRC under various loading conditions were also observed. The specific energy absorption, dynamic tensile-compressive strength ratios, and dynamic constitutive model of SCRC with different rubber content were also analyzed. The results indicate that SCRC can exhibit stronger strain rate sensitivity compared to SCC when strain rate is enough high, while the strain rate sensitivity of SCRC is lower than that of SCC at when strain rate is less than a critical value. To understand the strain rate sensitivity of SCRC, dynamic constitutive model (ZWT model) based on nonlinear viscoelastic theory was proposed. For impact toughness, although the specific energy absorption decreases with increasing rubber content, the ratios of tensile strength to compressive strength of SCRC have an increasing tendency when rubber content increases.

Objective: To investigate the effects of gambogic acid (GA) on the growth of human malignant glioma cells. Methods: U251MG and U87MG human glioma cell lines were treated with GA and growth and proliferation were investigated by MTT and colony formation assays. Cell apoptosis was analyzed by annexin V FITC/PI flow cytometry, mitochondrial membrane potential assays and DAPI nuclear staining. Monodansylcadaverine (MDC) staining and GFP-LC3 localisation were used to detect autophagy. Western blotting was used to investigate the molecular changes that occurred in the course of GA treatment. Results: GA treatment significantly suppressed cell proliferation and colony formation, induced apoptosis in U251 and U87MG glioblastoma cells in a time- and dose-dependent manner. GA treatment also lead to the accumulation of monodansylcadaverine (MDC) in autophagic vacuoles, upregulated expressions of Atg5, Beclin 1 and LC3-II, and the increase of punctate fluorescent signals in glioblastoma cells pre-transfected with GFP-tagged LC3 plasmid. After the combination treatment of autophagy inhitors and GA, GA mediated growth inhibition and apoptotic cell death was further potentiated. Conclusion: Our results suggested that autophagic responses play roles as a self-protective mechanism in GA-treated glioblastoma cells, and autophagy inhibition could be a novel adjunctive strategy for enhancing chemotherapeutic effect of GA as an anti-malignant glioma agent.

Superhydrophilic and underwater superoleophobic membrane materials have been widely studied owing to theirexcellent separation efficiency. However, the oil-fouling problem is a major drawback limiting their practical oil/waterseparation applications. Herein, a silica-enhanced functionalized poly(styrene-alt-maleic anhydride)/fluorocarbon surfactantnanofibrous composite membrane (f-PSMA/FS/SiO2) with underwater superoleophobicity was fabricated by theelectrospinning method. The uniformly dispersed silica nanoparticles not only increased the roughness of the as-preparedcomposite membrane but also substantially improved the underwater superoleophobicity. Therefore, the as-preparedcomposite membrane showed excellent underwater anti-oil-fouling performance, thus preventing the decrease in theseparation efficiency and flux caused by membrane fouling during oil/water separation. Throughout 60 separation cyclessolely driven by gravity, the separation efficiencies were above 99.27 %, and the flux remained higher than 3743 L m-2 h-1. More importantly, the as-prepared composite membrane maintained exceptional underwater superoleophobicity in a harshenvironment (30 wt% NaCl for 12 h, pH 1 (HCl) for 12 h, oven temperature at 90 °C for 2 h). Thus, because of its robustthermal stability and chemical durability, the antifouling f-PSMA/FS/SiO2 composite membrane has tremendous potential forfuture practical applications in the treatment of oily wastewater.

In this paper, a series of concepts, propositions, and theories that were developed by the rapid social and economical changes of China. The wave of globalization affects to China. In this situation, sociological theory should not be dominated by the national sentiments. At the same time, it should not neglect the national aspects. Chinese traditional culture should be used in constructing new sociological theory. Especially, the emphasis to hamony is very useful to building new sociological theory.

An optimal matching approach is proposed to maximally ensure the output power uniformity of the cascaded encoder in the passive optical network (PON) monitoring system based on a remote coding scheme. The calculation results show that the optimum arrangement can effectively reduce the difference of the total insertion loss in comparison to the random arrangement (i.e., 0.07 dB vs 2.67 dB in the cascaded encoder with 16 output ports). The proposed approach realizes the optimum configuration for the 1 × 2 optical splitters used without adding any extra components. The test results of the fabricated cascaded encoder with 32 output ports prove the feasibility of the proposed approach.

In the hot stamping process of ultra-high-strength steel sheets, it is a significant issue to reveal the nonuniformity of cooling rate in space–time domain by finite element method and even uncover the inner cause, which contributes to the further adjustment of the phase transformation. In this work, a series of heat transfer experiments between dies and sheets were conducted on the self-developed experimental apparatus. The temperature evolution curves of die and BR1500HS ultra-high-strength steel sheets under different pressures and holding time were obtained. Moreover, the transient heat transfer coefficients (HTC) under different mean interface temperatures and pressures were calculated by the inverse heat transfer algorithm. Subsequently, based on the HTC curves, a thermal–mechanical-phase dynamic coupling finite element model was developed for modeling the hot stamping process, and a series of simulations for analyzing the non-uniform microstructures distribution in hot stamping parts were implemented. Finally, the simulation results were validated by actual hot stamping experiments. Two significant influence factors on the nonuniform distribution of microstructures were summarized as follows: the existence of incomplete contact between steel sheets and dies due to the sheet thickness reduction in sidewall and circular bead regions, and the temperature differences between dies and steel sheets.
