        A new terpene coumarin microbial transformed by Mucor polymorphosporus induces apoptosis of human gastric cancer cell line MGC-803

        20-Z auraptene (1) is a synthesized monoterpenecoumarin with anticancer activity against human gastriccancer cells. In order to find new potential anticancer agent,Mucor polymorphosporus was used to transform cis-auraptene. Four new terpene coumarins with notable changesin the skeletal backbone, 20-Z auraptene A-D (2–5), wereobtained and evaluated for their antiproliferative effectsagainst human normal gastric epithelium cells and humangastric cancer cells. These new compounds showed selectivecytotoxic activity against MGC-803 cells with IC50values from 0.78 ± 0.13 to 10.78 ± 1.83 lM and thetherapeutic index could also be significantly improved(TI = 59.0) compared with that of 1 (TI = 5.5). Thestructures of these metabolites were elucidated throughextensive spectroscopic methods, and the possible biotransformationpathway of 1 by Mucor polymorphosporuswas also proposed. Furthermore, the mechanism of theantiproliferative effects against MGC-803 cells of the mostpotent compound, 20-Z auraptene A (2), was characterized. Annexin V/PI staining and abnormal expression of apoptosis-related protein suggested that compound 2 inducesapoptosis in gastric cancer MGC-803 cells. Therefore, it ispossible that compound 2 has the potential to be applied ingastric cancer therapy.

        A Study on the Development of Artificial Intelligence Crop Environment Control Framework

        Smart agriculture is a rapidly growing field that seeks to optimize crop yields and reduce risk through the use of advanced technology. A key challenge in this field is the need to create a comprehensive smart farm system that can effectively monitor and control the growth environment of crops, particularly when cultivating new varieties. This is where fuzzy theory comes in, enabling the collection and analysis of external environmental factors to generate a rule-based system that considers the specific needs of each crop variety. By doing so, the system can easily set the optimal growth environment, reducing trial and error and the user's risk burden. This is in contrast to existing systems where parameters need to be changed for each breed and various factors considered. Additionally, the type of house used affects the environmental control factors for crops, making it necessary to adapt the system accordingly. While developing such a framework requires a significant investment of labour and time, the benefits are numerous and can lead to increased productivity and profitability in the field of smart agriculture. We developed an AI platform for optimal control of facility houses by integrating data from mushroom crops and environmental factors, and analysing the correlation between optimal control conditions and yield. Our experiments demonstrated significant performance improvement compared to the existing system.

        A Model of Strawberry Pest Recognition using Artificial Intelligence Learning

        In this study, we propose a big data set of strawberry pests collected directly for diagnosis model learning and an automatic pest diagnosis model architecture based on deep learning. First, a big data set related to strawberry pests, which did not exist anywhere before, was directly collected from the web. A total of more than 12,000 image data was directly collected and classified, and this data was used to train a deep learning model. Second, the deep-learning-based automatic pest diagnosis module is a module that classifies what kind of pest or disease corresponds to when a user inputs a desired picture. In particular, we propose a model architecture that can optimally classify pests based on a convolutional neural network among deep learning models. Through this, farmers can easily identify diseases and pests without professional knowledge, and can respond quickly accordingly.

        Response surface method-based optimization of the shroud of an axial cooling fan for high performance and low noise

        We optimized the shroud of an axial cooling fan in a mechanical room of a household refrigerator using the response surface method (RSM) based on numerical predictions in terms of high flow rate and low noise. Computational fluid dynamics (CFD) techniques and an acoustic analogy were used to predict the volume flow rate (VFR) and noise in the system. The numerical methods were validated by comparing their VFR and acoustic power level predictions with the measured data. Then, the RSM was used to optimize the design parameters of the shroud of an axial cooling fan. The numerical prediction using optimum design obtained for maximum VFR from the RSM showed that the VFR can be increased by 21.8% at the cost of an increase in the acoustic power level by 1 dB. The prediction for minimum noise reveals that the acoustic power level can be reduced by 3.55 dB at the same flow rate as the original model. The orifice length of the shroud and the serrated structure are found to contribute significantly to the flow rate and radiated noise, respectively. Physical reasons for these observations are given based on detailed investigations of the variations of flow fields due to the design parameters.

        ROTA-BAXTER OPERATORS OF 3-DIMENSIONAL HEISENBERG LIE ALGEBRA

        In this paper, we consider the question of the Rota-Baxter operators of 3-dimensional Heisenberg Lie algebra on ${\mathbb{F}}$, where ${\mathbb{F}}$ is an algebraic closed field. By using the Lie product of the basis elements of Heisenberg Lie algebras, all Rota-Baxter operators of 3-dimensional Heisenberg Lie algebras are calculated and left symmetric algebras of 3-dimensional Heisenberg Lie algebra are determined by using the Yang-Baxter operators.

        With the advent of the era of artificial intelligence, more and more fields have begun to use artificial intelligence technology, especially the medical field. Cancer is one of the biggest problems in the medical field. [1] If it can be detected early and treated early, the possibility of cure will be greatly increased. Malignant skin cancer, as one of the types of cancer with the highest fatality rate in recent years has problems such as relying on the experience of doctors and being unable to be detected and detected in time. Therefore, if artificial intelligence technology can be used to help doctors in early detection of skin cancer, or to allow everyone to detect skin lesions or spots anytime, anywhere, it will have great practical significance. In this paper we used attention residual learning convolutional neural network (ARL-CNN) model [2] to classify skin cancer pictures.

      • Conflating Blackness and Rurality: Urban Politics and Social Control of Africans in Guangzhou, China

        In April, 2020, amid widespread fear of a second wave of infections of the novel coronavirus in China, local authorities in Guangzhou cracked down on the city's black population, resulting in mass evictions of Africans. The incident raises several questions about racism in China. How should we interpret this heavy-handed treatment of black people? Was this an isolated incident? What motivated such operations? In this article, I explain social control of Guangzhou's African communities as a problem of municipal politics. What underlies the government's heavy handed approach, I argue, are those communities' ties to rurality, which constitute a roadblock in the city's urban upgrade. Using Dengfeng Village, one of the best known African communities in China, as a case study, I show that efforts to upgrade the area by the local state and the real estate industry were frustrated by the community's status as an urban village. Africans, whom Chinese have historically associated with rurality, are seen as contributing to a space that has long been stigmatized as a spatial manifestation of rural people's lack of self-discipline. To better reveal the interconnection between social control and urban politics, I place official action in context of the history of the community's formation and the lived experience. This analysis of Dengfeng applies to various extents to other major African communities in Guangzhou.

        UHPLC–HRMS based saponins profiling of three morphological regions in American ginseng (Panax quinquefolium L.) and their correlation with the antioxidant activity

        American ginseng (Panax quinquefolium L.) is used as tonic plant and high-grade nourishment. Ultra-high-performance liquid chromatography–high resolution mass spectrometry (UHPLC–HRMS) method was established for identifying the chemical constituent in three morphological regions of American ginseng, including main root (MR), rhizome (RH) and lateral root (LR). The 63 saponins was identified in different morphological regions of 10 American ginseng samples. The chemical maker compounds in corresponding morphological region, while the major compounds of MR (malonyl-ginsenoside Rb1, ginsenoside Rd, Rs2 and pseudo-RC1), LR (stipuleanoside R2, ginsenoside Re and malonyl-ginsenoside Rc), and RH (malonyl-ginsenoside Rd, Rb3, and chikusetsu saponin II) were discovered. Correlation analysis showed that 11 compounds were positively correlated with the antioxidant activity of American ginseng.

        Chemical constituents from the fruiting bodies of Cryptoporus volvatus

        New drimane-type sesquiterpene cryptoporol A(1), cryptoporic acid derivative 60-cryptoporic acid E methylester (2), and pseudouridine derivative cryptoporineA(3), aswell as a known ergosterol 5a,8a-epidioxy-22E-ergosta-6,22-dien-3b-ol (4), were isolated from a 90 % alcoholextract of the fruiting bodies of Cryptoporus volvatus. Thestructures of these compounds were established by spectroscopicanalysis and circular dichroism. 5a,8a-epidioxy-22Eergosta-6,22-dien-3b-ol (4) exhibited antiviral activityagainst porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome virus,and all compounds showed weak antioxidant activities.

        The facile preparation of Cu–Zn–Al oxide composite catalysts with high stability and performance for the production of dimethyl ether using modified aluminum alkoxide

        Modified aluminum alkoxide prepared by alcoholysis was used as an aluminum source in the complete liquid-phase technology for the preparation of slurry catalysts. The use of the modified aluminum alkoxide afforded control over the rate of the hydrolysis/condensation reactions during the preparation of the catalyst precursors, thereby generating catalysts with a fine nano-structured active metal and metallic oxide particles. Four types of Cu–Zn–Al (molar ratio is 2:1:4) catalysts were prepared using different procedures. These catalysts were tested for CO hydrogenation at 553 K, 4.0 MPa and H2/ CO = 1.0 in a kettle with a mechanical agitator. The results indicated that the activity of the catalysts was greatly dependent on the rate of the hydrolysis/condensation reactions, and the catalyst with the best catalytic performance was obtained by controlling the hydrolysis/alcoholysis rate during catalyst synthesis by pre-alcoholysis of AIP as the aluminum source, over which the CO conversion and dimethyl ether selectivity could reach 62.6% and 62.5%, respectively.
