This type of computing also provides motivation for online mining of trajectory data, to tit user-specific preferences or context (e.g., time of the day). While many trajectory clustering algorithms have been proposed, they have typically focused on offline mining and do not consider the restrictions of the underlying road network and selection conditions representing user contexts. In clear contrast, we study an efficient clustering algorithm for Boolean + Clustering queries using a pre-materialized and summarized data structure. Our experimental results demonstrate the efficiency and effectiveness of our proposed method using real-life trajectory data.

<P> A novel asymmetric MOSFET with no lightly doped drain on the source side is simulated on bulk Si using a device simulator (SILVACO). To overcome the problems of the conventional asymmetric process, a novel asymmetric MOSFET using a mesa structure and a sidewall spacer gate is proposed, and it provides a self-alignment process, aggressive scaling, and better uniformity. First of all, we have compared the simulated characteristics of the asymmetric and symmetric MOSFETs. Basically, both asymmetric and symmetric MOSFETs have an n-type channel and the same physical parameters. Compared with the symmetric MOSFET, the asymmetric MOSFET shows better device performance. Moreover, we have successfully fabricated 50-nm asymmetric NMOSFETs based on simulation results and investigated its operation and characteristics. </P>
‘화산’ 배 모의수출 기간 중 온도환경 및 유통기간에 따른 품질변화

본 실험은 수출과정 중 ‘화산’ 배의 신선도를 유지하기 위한 목적으로 과실의 숙도별 적정수송온도 및 유통온도의 설정을 위하여 모의유통기간 중 과실의 품질과 생리장해 발생을 조사하였다. 만개 후 135일에 수확한 과실의 경우, 유통 30일에 조사한 과실 경도는 1℃에 수송되고 18℃에서 유통된 과실은 28.6N로 조사되었던 반면 5℃에서 수송되고 25℃에서 유통된 과실은 24.2N으로 수송 및 유통온도가 낮을수록 경도가 높게 유지되었다. 만개 후 145일에 수확한 과실의 경도는 만개 후 135일에 수확한 과실에 비하여 유통기간 중 경도가 현저하게 낮았는데 유통온도가 높을수록 과육의 경도 저하가 빠르게 진행되었다. 과실의 생리장해 발생을 측정한 결과, 수송온도와 관계없이, 25℃에서 유통된 과실이 18℃에서 유통된 과실보다 과육의 생리장해 발생 및 과실 부패율이 2배 이상 높게 측정되어 수출과정 중 과실의 신선도 유지를 위해서는 유통온도의 관리가 보다 중요한 요인으로 작용하는 것이 확인되었다. 따라서 수출과정 중 발생하는 경제적 손실을 줄이고 고품질 과실의 유통을 위해서는 유통환경을 고려한 수확시기 조절 및 수송 유통과정에서의 철저한 온도관리가 필수적으로 판단된다. In this study, we evaluated the fruit quality indices and the incidence of physiological disorders of Korean new pear cultivar ‘Whasan’ to determine appropriate harvest time for exportation and to enhance storability and shelf-life of the fruits during simulated exportation and extending market environment under different temperature conditions. In the experiment of simulated exportation headed for North America including Canada and U.S.A., the fruits transported at 1℃ showed less weight loss than those of 5℃. Market temperature appeared as a key factor for keeping freshness of exported pear fruits rather than transportation temperature. Quality factors such as high flesh firmness and low incidence of fruit rot and physiological disorders including core breakdown and pithiness were attained at the fruits maintained at 18℃ when we compared with 25℃. The fruits of harvested early maturity at 135 day after full bloom showed 28.6 N of flesh firmness when the fruits stored at 1℃ of transportation and 18℃ of market temperature, while the fruits progressed 5℃ of transportation and 25℃ of market temperature dropped to 24.2 N during 30 days of shelf life. Also, a high incidences of physiological disorders and of fruit decay rates were obvious in the fruits distributed at 25℃ were observed approximately two times higher than the those of 18℃. Therefore, temperature management during marketing resulted as an important point for maintaining fruits quality in the process of pear fruit exportation.
동양배 ‘신고’와 ‘사과배’ 과실의 저장 중 세포벽 특성의 변화 비교

동양배 ‘신고’와 ‘사과배’의 저장기간 중 서로 다른 생리적 특성과 세포벽 특성 변화를 비교 검토하여 과실생리 및 저장기술의 기초자료로 얻고자 본 실험을 실시하였다. 저장 기간 중 ‘신고’의 품질변화는 중량감소가 큰 반면, ‘사과배’에서는 급격한 호흡급등현상과 에틸렌 생합성이 많았으며, 전분감소가 컸다. 수용성 펙틴함량은 ‘신고’가 ‘사과배’보다 높았으며 CDTA-가용성 펙틴은 두 품종간의 차이가 크지 않았다. Na₂CO₃-가용성 펙틴은 ‘사과배’가 ‘신고’보다 높았으며 수용성 펙틴과는 달리 저장 기간이 길어질수록 증가하였다. 4% 및 24% KOH 가용성 펙틴은 저장기간에 따른 변화 폭이 크지 않았다. 수용성 펙틴의 분획 결과,‘신고’와 ‘사과배’ 저장 중 거대 분자의 구조 변화에서 많은 차이를 보였고,‘신고’와 ‘사과배’ 모두 저장 기간이 길어질수록 펙틴의 가수분해 및 측쇄 사슬의 당 분해가 관찰되었다. Na₂CO₃-가용성 펙틴의 경우 당 분포는 저장 기간에 관계없이 일정하였지만 펙틴은 분자량 변화가 컸다. 4% 및 24% KOH 가용성 펙틴의 분획 결과 두 품종에 있어 헤미셀룰로스의 구조 변화가 서로 달라, ‘사과배’의 경우는 4% KOH 가용성 추출물의 분획에서 세포벽을 구성하고 있는 당들의 가수분해가 컸으며 ‘신고’보다 ‘사과배’에서 노화 과정 중 헤미셀룰로스의 변화가 더 심하였다. The characteristics of fruit ripening and cell wall modifications of two oriental pear fruits were compared during storage. The loss of fresh weight was lower in ‘Pingguoli’ than ‘Niitaka’, probably due to the difference in wax accumulation and skin structure. ‘Pingguoli’ produced much higher amount of ethylene and showed climacteric ripening pattern, but this response was not found in ‘Niitaka’. A significant difference in soluble pectin contents was found, thus, the amount of water soluble pectins were much higher in ‘Niitaka’ at harvest but this difference was not significant at later stage of storage. A severe loss of water soluble pectins in ‘Niitaka’ was confirmed whereas a similar tendency was not found in CDTA soluble ones. Even the amount of Na₂CO₃ soluble pectins was relatively low, ‘Pingguoli’ contained approximately 2 times higher than ‘Niitaka’ and both cultivars showed an increasing tendency in Na₂CO₃ soluble polymers at later stage of storage. No significant difference in alkali soluble polysaccharides (hemicelluloses fraction) was found between both cultivars. There was a significant change in gel filtration profiles regardless of cultivars, especially in water soluble pectins resulting from severe depolymerization probably due to degradation of higher molecular weight pectins and loss of their side chains. In gel filtration profiles of Na₂CO₃ soluble pectins, neutral sugars were evenly distributed regardless of molecular size of pectic polymers but the decrease of high molecular weight fraction was found. In comparison of alkali soluble polymers, a similar trend was found, that is, there was no difference in gel filtration profiles but ‘Niitaka’ seemed to have longer side chains in alkali soluble polysaccharides in both 4% and 24% of KOH soluble fractions.
Effect of Rifampin, an Inducer of CYP3A and P-glycoprotein, on the Pharmacokinetics of Risperidone

<P><I>The authors studied the effect of rifampin, a dual inducer of CYP3A and P-glycoprotein, on the pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics of risperidone in humans. Ten healthy male subjects were treated daily for 7 days with 600 mg rifampin or with placebo. On day 6, a single dose of 1 mg risperidone was administered. Plasma risperidone and 9-hydroxyrisperidone concentrations were measured. Rifampin significantly decreased the mean area under the plasma concentrationU2014;time curve by 51% for risperidone, by 43% for 9-hydroxyrisperidone, and by 45% for the active moieties (risperidone</I> + <I>9-hydroxyrisperidone). Rifampin also decreased the peak plasma concentration of risperidone by 38%, 9-hydroxyrisperidone by 46%, and the active moieties by 41%. The apparent oral clearance of risperidone approximately doubled after rifampin treatment. Thus, rifampin reduced the exposure to risperidone, probably because of a decrease in its bioavailability through the induction of CYP3A and probably P-glycoprotein.</I></P>
