        Background: Mutation of Gs protein subunit (gsp oncogene), detected in about 30∼40% of growth hormone (GH)-secreting pituitary tumors, is associated with an increased long-acting somatostatin analog octreotide sensitivity. However, the mRNA expression of somatostatin receptor (sst) was not changed in the GH-secreting pituitary tumor, regardless of whether they were gsp oncogene positive or negative. This suggests that the expression of genes coding for G_i2α, Pit-1 and the other factors involved in the regulation of secretory activity in somatotrophs is likely to be altered in gsp oncogene positive tumors. We observed the impact of the gsp oncogene on the expression of the genes coding for Gi2, Pit-1 and sst (2&5) in GH-secreting pituitary tumors. Methods: The GH response to octreotide was examined in 13 acromegalic patients before transsphenoidal adenomectomy. Genomic DNA and RNA were extracted from fresh frozen tumor tissues. PCR was performed to amplify and sequence the region between codon 184 and 251 that includes exons 8 and 9 of the Gs gene. Sst2, sst5, G_i2α and Pit-1 mRNA levels were measured by semi-quantitative RT-PCR. Results: Sst2 and sst5 mRNA transcripts were detected in all tumors (7 gsp +, 6 gsp-). The amount of sst transcripts varied considerably varied between the tumors. There were no significant differences in sex, age, tumor size, grade or basal GH levels. Pit-1 and sst2 mRNA levels were not different. In contrast, G_i2 mRNA levels were significantly higher in gsp (+) while sst5 mRNA levels were higher in gsp (-). Conclusion: These data suggests that gsp oncogene may increase Gi2α levels but decrease sst5 mRNA levels. However, Pit-1 and sst2 mRNA expression may not be affected by gsp oncogene. The increased expression of the G_i2α gene might be an inhibitory compensatory response to the action of gsp oncogene

It, therefore, has been widely studied to develop efficient algorithms to execute operations related with quadtrees. In this paper, we present an O(1) time algorithm without constraints for finding neighbor blocks of locational codes representing linear quadtrees, using three-dimensional n×n×n RMESH.

      • 고등학교 운동선수들의 스트레스 차이 분석 : 성, 학년, 종목, 경력을 중심으로

        The purpose of this study was to help the athletic students of the boys' and girls' high schools improve their competence by examining closely into the difference of the stress patterns according to their sex, grade, event, career. To achieve the goal of this study. We analyzed the statistics of 340 athletic students of 13 athletic sports events. On the basis of collected data. We used one-way ANOVA and T-test to verify the difference in the sports stress according to sex, grade, event, career of the athletes at the high schools. First, the result of T-test concerning stress of the high school athletes on the basis of sex, showed that there were meaningful differences statistically in the burden of failures, the worry about going on to university (p<.001), the concern about a wound, and the others(p<.05). Second, the result of one-way ANOA conceerning stress of the high school athletes on the basis of school grade, showed that there were meaningful differences in the conflict among people(p<.001), the burden of punishment, the burden of economy, and the others(p<.05). Third, the result of T-test concerning stress of the high school athletes on the basis of sports events, showed that there were meaningful differences statistically in the burden of studying(p<.05). Fourth, the result of one-way ANOVA concerning stress of the high school athletes on the basis of sports career, showed that there were meaningful differences statistically in the concern about a wound(p<.05).

      • HDPE 개질 아스팔트 혼합물의 강도 및 변형특성

        본 연구는 폐비닐 펠렛을 도로포장재료로 재활용하여 자원절약 및 아스팔트 혼합물의 품질향상을 위한 연구이다. 이를 위하여 폐비닐의 첨가량별 배합설계를 수행하여 적정 폐비닐 첨가량과 최적 아스팔트 함량으로 편마암과 화강암 2가지 골재와 폐비닐인 RHDPE의 함량을 4가지로 혼합물을 제작하여 8종류의 재질 혼합물과 2종류의 무개질 혼합물을 제작하였다. 그리고 이 공시체에 대하여 마샬안정도, 간접인장강도 및 Kim test와 반복주행시험 등 실내시험을 통하여 혼합물의 특성을 분석하였다. 폐비닐 첨가량은 RHDPE가 8%일 때 안정도와 간접인장강도 모두 가장 우수한 것으로 나타났고 취성도 나타나지 않았다. RHDPE를 첨가한 혼합물에 대하여 Kim test를 수행한 결과 DR과 DS 모두 높은 상관성을 보였다. 그리고 반복주행시험에서는 RHDPE를 첨가한 혼합물이 일반 혼합물보다 우수하였다. 향후 많은 실험을 통해 RHDPE의 우수성을 입증한다면 소성변형 저항성에 우수한 재료로 이용될 수 있을 것이다. This study is a fundamental research for recycled high-density polyethylene (RHDPE) in asphalt mixture for improving roadway pavement. Marshall mix design was conducted and optimum asphalt content(OAC) was determined for dense-graded surface course mixture by RHDPE content. Marshall stability test, indirect tensile strength (ITS) test, wheel tracking trest and Kim-test were carried out to measure the characteristics of RHDPE-added asphalt concretes. From the results of this study, RHDPE in asphalt mixture if possible. It could be considered that adding too much RHDPE in asphalt mixture is not proper. The optimum content of RHDPE was appeared to be 8%. In Kim-test, statistical analysis was performed for each loading head and aggregate to find out correlation between S_(D) values and each rut parameter. The analysis result showed that S_(D) had very high coefficient of determination with rut parameters on the average.

        In this paper, we propose a new type of gateway system for WWW-Oracle interface. It supports various types of relational queries on the WWW such as join between two tables, one level nested queries, ORDER BY and GROUP BY operations in conditional clause. In addition, an application designer can suggest an access method for a table by query selection with a hint option on the WWW. It causes the Oracle optimizer to chose the specified access path. By this function, an application designer can choose more efficient way than the optimizer can determine. The designer can also check the execution time of the SQL statement on the WWW.

        3차원 두부방사선규격사진의 정확성에 관한 연구

        본 연구는 교정 임상에서 흔히 촬영되는 측모와 정모 두부방사선규격사진을 사용하여 3차원적인 두개안면 형태를 재현하였을 때 그 방법의 정확성을 고찰해 보고, 기존의 측모 두부방사선규격사진과 비교하여 어떠한 차이를 보이는지 알아보고자 하였다. 이를 위해 두개안면 골격모형의 3차원 두부방사선규격사진을 형성하고, 선 계측과 각도 계측을 시행하였다. 여기서 얻어진 계측치들을 실제 계측치 및 측모 두부방사선규격사진에서의 계측치와 비교하여 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. 1. 3차원 두부방사선규격사진의 선 계측 평균 오차는 0.94±0.62mm, 평균 확대율 100.31±0.91% 이었으며 실제 계측치와 차이를 보이지 않았다(α=0.1). 2. 측모 두부방사선규격사진은 선 계측에서 평균 오차 6.44±1.48mm, 평균 확대율 106.99±1.45%로서 하악체를 제외한 모든 선 계측에서 확대를 보였다(P<0.005). 3. 3차원 두부방사선규격사진에서의 각도 계측은 평균 오차 1.22±0.82°, 평균 확대율 105.72±12.07%로서 실제 계측치와 차이를 보이지 않았다.(α=0.1). 4. 측모 두부방사선규격사진은 평균 오차 1.70±0.94°, 평균 확대율 106.35±15.70%으로 실제 계측치와 차이를 보이지 않았다(α=0.1). Conventional cephalometrics have inherent errors because their evaluation is performed in two-dimension for three-dimensional object. To compensate these errors, three-dimensional cephalograms - derivation of three-dimensional data from conventional lateral and postero-anterior cephalograms - were developed. In this study, the accuracy and precision of three dimensional cephalograms were determined by means of 10 linear and 12 angular measurements on 36 acrylic skull models and by the comparison of conventional lateral cephalograms. The results were as follows : 1. Mean difference between three-dimensional cephalograms and actual models in linear measurements was 0.94±0.62mm and mean rate of magnification of three-dimensional cephalograms was 100.31±0.91%. There were no statistically significant differences between three-dimensional cephalograms and actual models in linear measurements(α=0.1). 2. Mean difference between conventional lateral cephalograms and actual models in linear measurements was 6.44±1.48mm and mean rate of magnification of lateral cephalograms was 106.99±1.45%. There were statistically significant differences between lateral cephalograms and actual models in linear measurements(P<0.005). 3. Mean difference between three-dimensional cephalograms and actual models in angular measurements was 1.22±0.82° and mean rate of magnification of three-dimensional cephalograms was 105.71±12.07%. There were no statistically significant differences between three-dimensional cephalograms and actual models in angular measurements(α=0.1). 4. Mean difference between conventional lateral cephalograms and actual models in angular measurements was 1.70±0.94° and mean rate of magnification of lateral cephalograms was 106.35±15.70%. There were no statistically significant differences between lateral cephalograms and actual models in angular measurements(α=0.1). There were similarity between three-dimensional and lateral cephalograms in angular measurements.

      • 효율적인 컴포넌트 개발을 위한 확장 객체지향 분석 및 설계

        Component Based Development(CBD) is an emerging paradigm of software development. Its goal is composing an application with plug & play software components on the frameworks. This CBD requires existing software analysis and design approaches to be reconsidered. In this paper. we present the extended method from Object-Oriented Analysis and Design. To provide a clear separation of component specification form its design and implementation. we add interface design step and component implementation design step to the process of Object-Oriented Methodology. To provide a method of tracking each step in the development process, we add "use case-behavior-control object-interface mapping table", "component-interface-implementation class mapping table", and "interface-implementation class-integrated implementation class mapping table" to the Object-Oriented Models. Object-Oriented Models could be easily re-engineered to Component System Models by the proposed method. Component System Models also could be easily back tracked by the proposed method.

        설측 교정치료를 위한 셋업 모형 제작의 정밀도

        치아 모형 및 셋업 모형에서의 정확한 순설측 및 근원심 경사의 측정을 위해 개발된 셋업 모형 측정기로 4개의 제1소구치 발거 후 설측 교정치료를 시행 받은 22명의 성인 환자들의 치료 전후의 진단 모형 및 셋업 모형을 계측하여 설측 교정치료에서 간접 접착술식을 위해 사용되는 셋업 모형의 형태가 치료 결과에 미치는 영향을 알아보고자 하였다. 연구 결과 치료 전 진단 모형과 셋업 모형간의 상하악 6전치의 순설측 근원심 경사 차이는 각각 -3.93 ± 6.98°, 1.87 ± 5.79° 였으며 셋업 모형과 치료 후 치아 모형간의 차이는 -4.31 ± 5.91°, -2.16 ± 3.27°였다. 치료 후 치아 모형에서는 치료 전에 비해 상하악 전치부의 순설측 경사가 -8.24 ± 5.39°만큼 유의성 있게 변화되었다. 또한 facebow transfer 등을 통해 교합기에 치아 모형을 거상하지 않고도 셋업 모형 측정기만으로 치아 모형과 측모 두부방사선규격사진을 서로 연계하여 분석하는 방법을 고안하여 그 임상적용 가능성을 알아보고자 하였다. 이를 위하여 셋업 모형 측정기를 사용하여 진단용 모형으로부터 측정한 계측 게이지 각과 측모 두부방사선규격사진상에 동일한 계측점과 선분들을 작도하여 측정한 산술 게이지 각을 비교하였으며 그 결과 상하악 모두에서 유의성 있는 차이가 나타나지 않았다. 따라서 셋업 모형 측정기를 사용하여 측모 두부방사선사진에서의 계측치들을 진단용 모형에서의 계측치와 서로 연계시켜 분석하고 이를 셋업 모형 제작 시 반영하는 방법이 임상적으로 사용 가능함을 알 수 있었다. Making a precise and ideal set-up model is an essential part in the indirect bonding procedure for lingual orthodontic treatment. To evaluate the accuracy of the making a set-up model, 22 adult patients who received lingual orthodontic treatment with 4 bicuspid extractions were selected, and 3 sets of dental models (before, set-up, and after treatment) were measured using the set-up model gauge, an instrument for measuring the incllnation and acgulation of the clinical crowns on the dental model. Two sets of lateral cephalograms (before and after) from each patient were also evaluated. The mean difference between the before treatment model and the set-up model was -3.93 ± 6.98° for the inclination and 1.87 ± 5.79° for the angulation. And the mean difference between the set-up model and the after treatment model was -4.31 ± 5.91° labiolingually and -2.16 ± 3.27° mesiodistally. The after treatment model differed from the before treatment model about -8.24 ± 5.39° in inclination. There were no significant difference between the measured gauge that measured from the dental model using the set-up model gauge and the calculated gauge angle measured from the lateral cephalogram using constructed points and lines. Using the set-up model gauge, it is possible to evaluate the study model 3-dimensionally in relation with the patient's lateral cephalogram and establish whether the doctor's prescription or overcorrection is built in the set-up model precisely.

        In this research, we investigated the KMnOc, consumption rate, pH, and the contents of major anions of the ground water fron Soju-ri, Yangsan(during the last 6 years 1997~2002). In this area, average rainfall during the last 6 years was 1,618.3 mm and a monthly average 134.85 mm. The KMnO₄ consumption rate was 0~3.7 ppm NO₃-N concentration was 1.3~6.5 ppm SO₄ concentration was 10~83 ppm, CI concentration was 4~60 ppm and NH₃-N corcentration was 0~0.05 ppm. Zn, Al, and Ou concentration were 0~0.999, 0~0.17, and 0~0.043 ppm respectively. As Pb, Cd, and Hg were not detected

And every project has to be launched not the view of individual management factors but the total factors, Big Y. Therefore, a process needs to be treated to connect the vital few factors in various processes to improve the yield, which is the main performance criteria in a manufacturing industry This report is to make the total optimization through the Vital-Few mapping between quality characteristics and process factors in a manufacturing line. Accordingly, it means to secure lower variance by making the CTP(Critical To Process) optimization and finally to improve the yield.
