      • An Efficient Video Segmentation Algorithm

        이진 분리 방법에 기반한 계층적 영상 분할 알고리듬을 제안하였다. 형태학적 연산에 의한 분할은 형태소의 크기에 의존하고 하부 계층에서 큰 형태소가 필요하므로, 연산량이 많이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 이진 분리 방법을 이용하여 연산량을 줄이는 기법을 제안하였다. 제안한 알고리듬은 작은 영역을 제거하기 위한 후처리과정이 필요하지 않으며 계층의 단순화 단계에서 작은 형태소를 사용한다. 또한, 분할된 영역의 윤곽선을 단순화시키는 기법을 적용하여서, 잡음이 있는 영역 뿐만 아니라 버텍스를 단순화하여 윤곽선 부호화가 용이하도록 히였다. 제안한 알고리듬을 통해, 단순화된 윤곽선 영상을 얻을 수 있고 결과적으로 연산량이 작아진다.

      • 압출성형공정으로 제조한 선식 팽화스낵의 특성

        Sunsik extrudate was prepared by mixture of cereal and vegetable by using an experimental twin-screw extruder. Extrudate properties such as expansion ratio, density and bending strength were analyzed. Extrusion process conditions were moisture(20%, 25%), barrel temperature(70℃, 90℃, 110℃) and vegetables content(0%, 10%, 20%). Expansion ratio decreased as adding vegetable mix and increased as water content increased. Expansion ratio was the highest in water content 25% and barrel temperature 90℃. Density increased with the increase in water content and vegetable mix. Bending strength decreased by increasing water content and vegetable mix content. It was the lowest in bending strength that extrusion conditions were water content 25%, vegetable mix content 20% and barrel temperature 110℃. In conclusion, physical properties of puffed Sunsik snack could be controlled by the ratio of cereal and vegetable mix and extrusion process variables such as barrel temperature, moisture and screw speed etc.

        The purpose of this research was to analyze the correlation of the characteristics of dwellers and residential satisfaction in apartment housing. The contents of this research is to identify characteristics of dwellers, which might have an influence on residential satisfaction in apartment housing. In conclusion, the number of a family, the floor level, the size of housing unit and tenure had statistically significant correlations with the residential satisfaction in apartment housing.

        부정적인 측면에서 중세국어 조동사의 검토

        The purpose of this paper is to establish the negative viewpoints for the Korean auxiliaries in the middle Korean. They are summarized as follows; Modern Korean auxiliaries were pursued by the generative grammarians but not middle Korean auxiliaries. By some generative grammarians much of auxiliaries has been pursued in the modern Korean but not in the middle Korean, the main forcus for the modern korean but not in the middle Korean. The main forcus for the modern auxiliaries by the generative grammarians was the complemmentizer. Wheather a phrase is a noun phrase complement or verb phrase complement has been determined accordingly to the complementizer's properties, but these points do not content the basic intention for the negative viewpoint of the auxiliaries because the complementizer is flexible. For these reasons, I want to establish the negative viewpoints of the auxiliaries in the middle Korean by admitting noun phrases all the complements as complement or pseudo noun phrase complement. In the surface structure of the sentence that involved so called main verb and auxiliaries, I assert that the one is main verb, the others auxiliaries. For the auxilies helps the main verb followed by it, but we must examine the dominating scope of the auxiliaries whether they dominate only main verb or the whole units precceding them. In my opinion in the surface structure that involve main verb and auxiliaries, I would ve ber to the main verb for the auxiliaries. But in deep structure, the traditional auxiliary is the verb of the subsentence and the main verb is the verb super sentence.

      • 파의 Acid Phosphatase의 특성

        파로부터 acid phosphatase를 Sepharcyl S-200 gel filtration과 CM-Sepharose CL-6B ion exchange chromatography 를 이용하여 부분정제하였다. p-Ni-trophenyl phosphate를 기질로 사용했을 경우에 최적pH는 5.5, 최적온도는 60℃였다. 효소의 활성화 에너지는 4.86kcal/mole이었다. 효소는 pH6.0에서 가장 안정하였으며, 50℃이하에서 대체로 안정하였다. 효소는 p-nitrophenyl phosphate를 기질로 가장 잘 이용하였으며, 5'-IMP와 5'-GMP는 기질로 거의 이용하지 못하였다. 효소는 p-nitrophenyl phosphate를 기질로 했을 경우에 ??값이 0.87mM이었다. Cr+++, Zn++, Cu++ 이온은 효소의 활성을 저해하였으며, 또한 molybdate와 metavandate 이온이 효소의 활성을 저해하였다. 그리고, NaCl의 농도가 높을수록 효소의 활성을 저해하였다. Acid phosphatase (EC 3.1.3.2) from welsh onion was partially purified by Sephacryl S-200 gel filtration and CM-Sepharose CL-6B ion exchange chromatography. The optimum pH and temperature of acid phosphatase from green onion were pH 5.5 and 60℃, respectively. The enzyme was the most stable at pH 6.0 and unstable above pH 9.0. The activation energy of the enzyme was determined to be 4.86 kcaL/mole. The enzyme utilized p-nitrophenyl phosphate most as a best substrate among tested possible substrates, while 5'-GMP and 5'-IMP were poor substrates for the enzyme. ?? of the enzyme with p-nitrophenyl phosphate as a substrate was identified as 0.87 mM. Among metal ions and inhibitors tested, Cr+++, Zn++, Cu++, molybdate and metavanadate ions inhibited the enzyme reaction drastically.

        As the needs for next generation image coding techniques suitable for very low bit rate environment are growing, many efficient content-based image coding methods have been developed recently. In this paper, an adaptive contour coding technique are proposed for the region-based image coding. The contour coding in the segmentation-based coding usually occupies the biggest part in the encoded bitstream. In this paper, contour segments are adaptively encoded by considering neighbor regions. Encoded bitrate is reduced without loss of the subjective image quality. after morphological segmentation using watershed algorithm to the image, the contour segments are classified according to the contrast of the adjacent regions. Then, the contour segments with low contrast are highly compressed with various simplification such as polygonal approximation and morphological low pass filtering. and modified chain coding method for filtered image with morphological low pass filter such as multiscale close_opening according to the contrast is studied. Experimental results show outstanding performance for the very low bitrate video coding.

      • 기능범주 AgrP에 관한 연구

        In recent literatures there has been a debate over whether the INFL should be spilt up into TenseP and AgrP (resolving the doble- headedness of INFL) in order to explain the word order differences in two languages in terms of general universal grammar. Under the Chomskian’s minimalist syntax, Chomsky (1991, 1993, 1995) regards AgrP as an independent maximal projection. This paper aims to explain the motivation of positing AgrP and the function of AgrP and then to show the reason AgrP must be deleted under the Attract-F by Chomsky(1995), and then to analyse strength and weakness by substituting a light verb v after deleting Agr.

      • 사람의 성산자극 호르몬 α-Subunit 유전자와 결합하는 Trans-Acting Factor의 확인 및 분석

        The 5' flanking region of the α-subunit gene of human chorionic gonadotropin was tested for the binding with the nuclear extracts of the JAR choriocarcinoma cells. Gel mobility shift assay has demonstrated that two BstNI restriction fragments, 150 bp and 340 bp respectively, have binding activities with the nuclear extracts. The 150 bp fragment was chosen to examine in detail, since several transcription factor binding sites have already been reported within the 340 bp fragment. Band competition assay showed that the binding of 150 bp fragment is highly sequence-specific. The binding activity was further narrowed down to a 55 bp fragment, which was generated by Nsi1 digestion of the 150 bp fragment. DNasel footprinting assay revealed the binding sites on the nucleotide levels from -511 to -499. The binding sites were again confirmed by a oligonucleotide-directed mutagenesis of the 150 bp fragment followed by a gel mobility shift assay. Functional aspect of this binding was evaluated with the DNA-mediated gene transfer techniques. However, in several appoaches tried so far, no effect on the transcription efficiency was observed, implicating a structural role of the binding. In this line, it is worth to note that the binding activity of the 150 bp fragment was observed in every cell or tissue nuclear extracts tested so far.

        Polyphosphate가 함유된 근관충전재가 구강세균의 성장에 미치는 영향

        Eliminating the infecting bacteria of the root canal system and preventing reinfection must be the main objectives of all endodontic works. None of commercially available root canal sealers have the properties of desirable tissue compatibility and strong antibacterial activity. The purpose of this study is to develope an ideal root canal sealer using commercially available polyphosphate (polyP), Calgon, which is known to be antibacterial and safe. For the study, resin-type AH26, zinc oxide eugenol-type Tubli-Seal, Ca(OH)2-type Apexit as base sealers for polyp (0∼3%) and para formaldehyde-containing N2 as a control base were selected. Specimens (3×4mm) of the sealers were prepared in a 37℃ incubator far 3 and 10 days and their antibacterial activity against streptococci and black-pigmented anaerobic rods was observed using an agar diffusion method. The result were as follows : 1.Among 3-day-old root canal sealers, N2 as a positive control showed the strongest antibacterial effect, followed by AH26, Tubli-Seal and, Apexit which barely showed antibacterial activity against the test bacteria. In contrast, 10-day-old AH26 showed a greater antibacterial activital than 10-day-old N2. 2.All sealer specimens showed a greater antibacterial activity against black-pigmented anaerobic rods than streptococci. Three-day-old ones appeared to be more antibacterial than 10-day-old ones except for Apexit. 3.As compared to N2, 3-day-old AH26 demonstrated a similar antibacterial activity against black-pig-mented anaerobic rods but to a lesser extent to streptococci. Ten-day-old AH26 showed a greater antibacterial activity against black-pigmented anaerobic rods than 10-day-old N2. 4.As compared to AH26, Tubli-Seal generally revealed a lower antibacterial activity but it showed a greater antibacterial activity aginst S. gordonii Challis. 5.Enhancement of antibacterial activity by polyp was more clearly observed when it was added to Ca(OH)2-based root canal sealers, Tubli-Seal and N2. 6.The addition of polyP enhanced the antibacterial activity of 3-day-old AH26 against S. gordonii G9B (16%) and Challis (29%), and P. gingivalis 2561 (24%) only. Moreover, polyp failed to increase antibacterial activity of 10-day-old AH26 against the test strains but P. gingivalis A7A1-28 (13%). 7.The addition of polyp increased the antibacterial effect of 3-day-old Tubli-Seal on several test bacteria including S. mutans GS-5 (50%), S. gordonii G9B (47%) and Challis (122%), and all the test strains of P. gingivalis (13∼35%) except for 9-14K-1. The addition of polyp to 10-day-old Tubli-Seal increased antibacterial activity of the root canal sealer against most test strains. 8.3-day-old Apexit failed to show antibacterial activity, if any very little against S. mutans GS-5 and Pr. intermedia ATCC 49046. However, polyP increased its antibacterial activity by 50 and 69%, respectively. Increase of antibacterial activity of 10-day-old Apexit by polyP was more clearly observed than that of 3-day-old one. The overall results suggest that polyP may be used in clinic as an antibacterial agent in root canal sealers. However, in order to maximize its antibacterial effect, the composition of sealers should be considered.
