        정상 한국인에서 연령증가에 따른 혈장 Dehydroepiandrosteronesulfate ( DHEA-S ) 농도 및 DHEA - S / cortisol 비의 변화

        Backgroud: DHEA-S is the most abundant steroid hormone in circulation, and primarily secreted from the adrenal cortex, but its physiological role is little known. One of the characteristic features of DHEA-S is progressive decrement of plasma DHEA-S level with advancing age, in contrast, plasma levels of other adrenal hormones are not chaging or littie decreasing. To grasp the trends of plasma DHEA-S level and DHEA-S/cortisol ratio by age in healthy Korean, we measured the plasma DHEA-S levels and DHEA-S/cortisol ratios in healthy Korean. Methods: Healthy Korean(men: 99, women: 102, age range: 15-97 year old)were studied. Subjects were not taking drugs(such as glucocorticoid or androgenic medication) or cigarettes known to modify the plasma level of DHEA-S and cortisol, and had no evidence of hepatic, renal disease or hyperlipidemia as determined by serum lipid, bilirubin, SGOT, SGPT, BUN, creatinine. Data were analyzed by 10-year age group for men and women: i.e, 10-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40- 49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80-89 and 90 year or more. Plasma DHEA-S levels were measured by using a commercially available RIA kit with 125I labeled-DHEA-SO4(Coat-A Count DHEA-SO4), and for the measurement of plasma cortisol levels, commercial Gamma Coat TM[125I] Cortisol Radioimmunassay Kit was used. Results:. 1) In both men and women, plasma DHEA-S level showed high interindividual variation within the same age group. 2) There were individual sex differences in plasma levels of DHEA-S, in all age groups, plasma DHEA-S levels were significantly higher values for men than for women. 3) Maximum plasma DHEA-S levels(men; 237+-3.35 ug/dL, women; 108+-17.5 ug/dL) were at third decade in both men and women. 4) Both men and women showed the continuous decline in plasma DHEA-S level with age. These age-related decline was more prominent in men than in women(men; y= -3.152 * +292.6, r2= 0.8459, P$lt;0.05, women; y= -1.417 * +143.3, r2 = 0.7278, P$lt; 0.05). 5) As an index of aging, there was no stastical difference between DHEA-S and DHEA- S/cortisol ratio. Conclusion: In healthy Korean, there were high interindividual variation of plasrna DHEA-S levels. In both men and women plasma DHEA-S level was peak at third decade, and from when it declined progressively with age. These results suggest that although the reliability of single plasma DHEA-S measurement are limited, the decline of DHEA-S with advancing age might be a specific marker of endocrinologic hormonal milieu(aging index). Also, concerning to individual adrenal secreting capacity, we measured DHEA-S/cortisol ratio. But we did not found that plasma DHEA-S/cortisol ratio is superior to the plasma DHEA-S level as an aging index. (J Kor Soc Endocrinol 12:245-254, 1997)

        Abstract: As known in clinical trial like DCCT, UKPDS, tight glycemic control is essential to prevent complications from diabetes mellitus(DM). In type 2 diabetes taking multiple medication, nonadherence to medications is common problem. The aim of our study is to investigate adher-ence rate of patients with type 2 DM and to evaluate association between many factors including adherence rate and HbA_(1C). 441 patients with type 2 DM who visited Busan National University Hospital endocrine internal department from Aug 13 to Sep 2, 2008(3weeks) were enrolled. We conducted a man-to-man questionnaire survey about general knowledge about diabetes mellitus, medicine and adherence, and measured HbA_(1C). Among them, 305 patients taking oral hypo-glycemic agent(OHA) were analyzed to investigate correlation between adherence rate and glycemic control. We studied 305 patients(male 126, female 179, average age 61.2±9.8 years, DM duration 8.6±6.4 years, average adherence 88.8±16.2%, average HbA_(1C) 7.03± 1.18%). HbA_(1C) showed significant relation with DM duration(r=0.137, p=0.017), number of aHA in regimen (r=0.135, p=0.018), dosage frequency(r=0.132, p=0.026), Medication Refill Adherence(MRA)(r=-0.124, p=0.030) and adherence(r=-0.168, p=0.003). Adherence had significant relation with MRA(r=0.148, p=0.010) but didn't have statical corelationship with DM duration, number of aHA and dosage frequency. Patients that their adherence rate exceed 90% took fewer OHA(p=0.011) and went on a better dietary treatment(p=0.007). In patients controlling diabetes mellitus with aHA, when adherence rate and MRA was higher, HbA_(1C) was lower. As a result, to improve adher-ence rate, it is necessary to enhance patient education, do careful consideration about prescrip-tion medicine number and dosage frequency

        This thesis aims to analyze the Confuction educational thoughts and ideas to to get some suggestions for recovering the lost education power which has resulted form the highly industrialized society. The contents is roughly as follows : 1. I investigats his life and academic works, and try to find out the formation process of his thoushts and ideas. 2. I arrange his lofty educational spirits by considering his standpoints toward education, such as equality of opportunity of education, his devotion to education and his sincerity to academic study. 3. I find out the aim of his education that education makes the students seek truth themselves and makes them become able politicians by self-education 4. His contents of educatiom have proved to be the Shih-Ching(詩經), the Shu-Ching(書經), the Yi-Ching(易經), the Ii-Ching(禮經), the Yueh-Ching(樂經) and the Chun-Chiu(春秋) 5. His teaching methods are individual instruction according to the individual student's ability, interest-inducting method to increase learning efficiency, self-activity for learning, and encouragement to steady efforts and attitude toward learning. We can get some lessons from the Confucian educational thougths : Education is a process to build up student's noble character on the basis of mutual confidence between teacher and student, and education is a process to help establish the social order and to contribute to the succession and development of our culture.

      • Microcapsule-membrane에서의 물질 이동 및 확산 특성

        Hollowsphere에 대한 확산 계수를 구하기 위해서 solidsphere에 대한 확산 계수를 다음과 같이 수정하여 제시하였다. 첫째로 hollowsphere내에서 용질의 호가산 계수는 고분자막과 액체 film을 통한 내부 sphere 용액에서 확산 계수의 조합이고, 이들 조합은 물질이동 특성에 의존한다. 둘째로 물질이동 이론으로 물질이동 계수들간의 연관성은 확산 계수들 사이에서 하나의 개념 혹은 값으로 단순화 될 수 있다. 고분자막에서 용질의 확산 계수는 시간경과에 따른 용질의 양과 hollowsphere 크기와의 관계를 통한 수학적 모델로 측정할 수 있다. 물의 구종와 ??-alginate gel막의 구조는 서로 다르기 때문에 이들 간의 확산계수 값은 같을 수가 없다. 막의 두께가 두꺼워질수록 glucose의 확산율이 낮아지는 사실은 물에서의 확산 계수보다 막에서의 확산 계수가 더 낮다는 사실을 입증한다. sodium cellulose sulfate-polydiallydimethyl-ammonium chloride(NaCS-PDADMAC) 막과 ??-alginate gel 막에서 glucose의 확산 계수 data는 hollowsphere에 대한 물질이동 연구를 위한 중요한 기초 자료를 제공한다. NaCS-PDADMAC막에서 glucose의 확산 계수는 물에서의 호가산 계수보다 작았으며, ??-alginate gel막도 물에서의 호가산 계수보다 약간 작았으나 큰 차이가 없었고, 그것이 sphere에서 용액으로 이동하거나 용액에서 sphere로 이동하는 기질의 확산에는 거의 영향을 미치지 못하였다.

        일부 세탁소의 유기용제 관리실태 및 공기중 노출농도에 관한 조사

        This study was conducted to identify the current status of occupational safety and health by checklist and to evaluate the airborne exposure to chemicals and to provide the appropriate recommendation for safety and health of laundries. A total of 20 laundries located in the Gyungi district area were surveyed from July 20 to September 15, 2000. The prevalence of laundries having a stove and gas range were found to be 25 % and 55 %, respectively. Smoking is not allowed in 60 % of the laundries. Only 10 % of dry-cleaners were isolated. Ventilation system in laundries had not been annually inspected. Most of the workers didn't put on respirators, MSDS were not available, and storage bottles did not contain warning labels. The bulk samples of dry cleaning agent include many chemicals that are not controlled by the MOL in Korea. The detected airborne organic solvents in the laundries were benzene, toluene, p-xylene, m-xylene, o-xylene, perchloroethylene, and 2-butoxy ethanol. The airborne concentrations of organic solvents were much less than the occupational exposure limits proposed by the Ministry of Labor(MOL) in Korea. But the concentrations of benzene exceeded the TLV of ACGIH. This study showed that the current status of occupational safety and health was not appropriate for workers in laundries. It is recommended that laundry workers should be educated for the treatment and storage of hazardous organic solvents to improve the occupational safety and health of the working environment as well as MSDS usage. Also, extended research and survey for the organic solvents that are not controlled by the MOL has to be conducted.

        3차원 광밴드갭 결정 : 제조와 응용 Fabrication and Applications

        미시적 공간에서 광자르 자유롭게 제어할 수 있는 소재인 광결정은 광통신과 광컴퓨터에 쓰이는 채널드롭 필터(channel drop filter), 광파가이드(optical waveguide), 나노레이저(nanolaser)와 같은 핵심소자의 기본 재료일 뿐만 아니라 차세대 마이크로디스플레이의 칼라화소로 활용될 수 있다. 본 글에서는 3차원 광결정의 기본 개념과 지금까지 제안된 제조공정을 소개하고 응용분야에 대해 살펴본다. 광결정 제조 공정 중 화학공학자들의 관심을 끌 수 있는 콜로이드 자기조합체(self-assembly)의 3차원 광결정으로의 응용에 대해 중점적으로 소개하고자 한다. Photonic crystals are referred to as semiconductors for light and can control the flow of photons in microscopic space since semiconductors do the flow of electrons in ULSI(Ulta Large Scale Integration) circuits. Therefore, photonic crystals have attracted enormous attention due to their potential applications including channel-drop filters, nanolasers, optical waveguides and others that are required for the development of next-generation optical telecommucation devices and optical computers. Photonic crystal balls at micrometer scales can be also used as full-color pixel sources in fabrication of three-dimensional photonic crystals have attracted enormous attention due to their potential applications including channel-drop filters, nanolasers, optical waveguides and others that are required for the development of next-generation optical telecommunication devices and optical computers. Photonic crystal balls at micrometer scales can be also used as full-color pixel sources in the pioneering microdissional photonic crystals, and their potential application areas. In particular, we emphasize the colloidal self-assembly scheme that is the most attractive to chemical engineers among several synthetic methods.

      • 지역난방배관의 다중누수 감지기 개발에 관한 연구

        Local heating transportation pipe has sensor and return lines to detect water- leakage. There are impulse and resistance comparison measurementtypes for a water-leakage detection. The impulse type shows large detection error within a measurement range. Since the resistance comparison type can find a comparative accurate single water-leakage point in the measurement range of heating pipe. it has used to detect water-leakages these days. However if the multi water-leakages are happened in the measurement range of trange of transportation pipe. the resistance comparison type shows a detection error point by the parallel resistance between a detection sensor line and ground. But the detection error will be minimized by the divided transportation pipe loops. In this research, it suggests the design of remote controlled detector which can divide a large pipe loop and a possible single water-leakage measurement process in each divided loops.

        The object of this study is to analyze the additional inertial effect caused by the local irregularity or the lumped mass being attached to the uniform beam. The additional masses are considered as a point mass and a locally distributed mass. The method of variation of parameters is employed to solve the response of the dynamic system. Dynamic response of beam is analyzed by physical features of the masses attached to the beam, Two edges of beam are assumed to be simply supported. The resonant frequency coefficients caused by harmonic force were evaluated as magnitudes and locations of additional masses. The dimensionless deflections of a beam are plotted versus length of beam at near the first resonant frequency.

      • 소나무와 노루발풀의 공간적 상관관계에 관한 검토

        The spatial distribution of allelic frequencies was studied in the natural population of two species(Pyrola japonica and Pinus densiflora) and the spatial distribution of ecological traits by randomization was studied in the Korean population of forest. Both species show significant positive spatial autocorrelation as measured by Moran's I. In P. densiflora, the genetic similarity was showed individuals within up a scale of 18m distance and this is partly due to combination of pollen dispersal and long distance seed dispersal by wind or men. In P. japonica, population structure in the distribution of allelic frequencies is related to mating systems(outcrossing rates and vegetative spread) and is consist of a scale of 8m intervals. The results also indicate that positive associations between P. densiflora and P. japonica can occur when both select the same habitat or have the same environmental requirements.
