This paper considers basic operation of voltage resonance performance involved voltage resonant DC lind and describes circuit operation that is proposed converter circuit of three-phase rectification and evaluates characteristics of this system. Particularly, optimal switching pattern applying vector theory of instantaneous state space voltage is adapted as control of input current of three-phase rectification converter. Simulation of voltage resonance DC link three phase converter is analyzed and excellency of this system is presented through experimentation applied digital signal processor.

Recently, the environmental load has rapidly increased with the burgeoning of world population and the great expansion of severe global environmental issues. Therfore, it is inevitable to develop technology to ensure a stable clean energy source to replace oil as well as energy saving technology. Under these circumstances, photovoltaics (elecric power generation directly from sun light using solar cell) have attracted world-wide attention because of its cleaness. This paper reviews photovoltaic measurements on the refernce conditions and reference cell mothod and studies photovoltaic devices on the performance measurement and evalution procedures. Especially, activation of the photovoltaic researches and industrialization are emphasized in this paper.

LB layers of L-α-DLPC deposited by LB method were deposited onto n-type silicon wafer as Z-type film. Films made up of 8, 16 layers of lipid with long alkyl chain and the thickness of monolayer and multilayers was determined by ellipsometry. It was deposited Ag and Al onto LB layers and silicon wafer for electrode and exhibit high capacitance with low frequency. The MLS capacitor shows very high value of capacitance. The result indicated the lower leakage current and very high saturation value of capacitance was reached within 700-800 ㎊ when the thickness was 275Å.

In this paper, we have developed a new Force-Display system using tendon-driven method. The proposed system is based on the HIR Lab Haptic library, which calculates the real position and renders the reflecting force data to device rapidly. The system is composed of device based tendon-driving method, high-speed controller and Haptic rendering library. The developed system will be used on constructing the dynamical virtual environment. To show the efficiency of our system, we designed simulation program which can display the moving force (attaching, grabbing, rotating) on two virtual point. As the result of the experiment, our proposed system shows much higher resolution than any others.

This paper presents a new method which applies a genetic algorithm(GA) for determining which sectionalizing switch to operate in order to solve the distribution system loss minimization re-configuration problem. The distribution system loss minimization re-configuration problem is in essence a 0-1 planning problem which means that for typical system scales the number of combinations requiring searches becomes extremely large. In order to deal with this problem, a new approach which applies a GA was presented. Briefly, GA are a type of random number search method, however, they incorporate a multi-point search feature. Further, every point is not is not separately and respectively renewed, therefore, if parallel processing is applied, we can expect a fast solution algorithm to result.

To control the position, velocity and torque of the ultrasonic motor, a great variety of method are proposed such as the amplitude, phase difference, frequency and so on. In the case of phase difference method, it has some advantages; it can control the direction and velocity of rotation only adjusting the phase difference and it has wide control-band. During the USM driving on adjusting phase difference, its characteristic was transformed by the change of resonance-frequency of stator, which means that the resonance frequency is different according to the phase difference. Consequently, we need to set up the most suitable driving frequency according to each phase difference.

We investigated resistive superconducting fault current limiters (SFCLs) fabricated using YBCO thin films on 2-inch diameter sapphire substrates. Nearly identical SFCL units were prepared and tested. The units were connected in series and parallel to increase the current and voltage ratings. A serial connection of the units showed significantly unbalanced power dissipation between the units. This imbalance was removed by introducing a shunt resistor to the firstly quenched unit. Parallel connection of the units increased the current rating. An SFCL module of 4 units in parallel, each of which has minimum quench current 25 A_(peak), was produced and successfully tested at a 220 V_(rms) circuit. From the resistance increase, we estimated that the film temperature increases to 200 K in 5 msec, and 300 K in 120 msec. Successive quenches revealed that this system is stable without degradation in the current limiting capability under such thermal shocks as quenches at 220 V_(rms).
Current Limiting Characteristics of a Flux-Lock Type SFCL for a Single-Line-to-Ground Fault

We have fabricated an integrated three-phase flux-lock type SFCL, which consists of an YBCO(YBa₂Cu₃O?) thin film and a flux-lock reactor wound around an iron core of each phase. In order to apply the SFCL in a real power system, fault analyses for the three-phase system are essential. The short-circuit currents were effectively limited by adjusting the numbers of winding of each secondary coil and their winding directions. The flux flow generated in the iron core cancelled out under the normal operation due to the parallel connection between primary and secondary windings. However, the flux-lock type SFCL with same iron core was operated just after the fault due to the flux generating in the iron core. To analyze the current limiting characteristics, the additive polarity winding was compared with the subtractive one in the flux lock reactor. Whenever a single line-to-ground fault occurred in any phase, the peak value of the line current of the fault phase in the additive polarity winding increased up to about 12.87 times during the first-half cycle. On the other hand, the peak value in the subtractive polarity winding increased up to about 34.07 times under the same conditions. This is because the current flow between the primary and the secondary windings changed to additive or subtractive status according to the winding direction. We confirmed that the current limiting behavior in the additive polarity winding was more effective for a single-line-to-ground fault
A Study on the Technology of the Magnetic Levitation System

Applying the magnetically levitated transportation system, which is noncontact bearing system, to solve the problems such as transformation of original form of flaw of iron plate caused by transportation of thin iron pants which required high quality as body of motor vehicle, materials of electronic devices etc.. Magnetic saturation phenomena caused by thickness of iron plate and gap size between magnets. In case of iron plate, the vibration mode will be considered since vibration occurs during transportation. In order to solve the problems caused by vibration, choose the levitation system method using numbers of magnet, magnetic saturation ofr thickness and length of iron plate with parameters in location and gap of magnet. In this paper, we will suggest the whole design technique of magnetically levitated transportation system, namely method of magnetic attraction and transportation system.
