        In this article, I try to investigate cultural studies to see new meaning of TV viewing. Cultural studies broaden our concern about methods that people make meaning actively or creatively and construct their own culture. As a result, media consumption become a important problem as active area of cultural production. On the basis of this perspective, analysis about television is to be applied and developed. This development increased our understanding to be connected with TV viewing. In this context, this article understand TV viewing as TV experience, a part of broad cultural experience. Thus, through the exploration of cultural studies perspective, this article describes characteristics of TV viewing.

      • 시사다큐멘터리에 나타난 영상관습의 부정적 효과

        Observing that the images of the alienated group represented in the TV current affairs documentaries are not in the affirmative, I, in this research, tries to examine what kind of visual images make 'us' stay away from 'them', how those images build up, what the effects are and furthermore the original objectives of those current-affair documentaries pursuing reality criticism and improvement correspond with the images. I came to conclusion that because of the effects, the TV viewers can not dispel prejudices they have against the alienated group and on the contrary, they get to have more biased viewpoints on them. That is, these visual practices are believed to make the estranged group separate from our society.

      • 텔레비전 다큐멘터리의 양식과 사실구성에 관한 이론적 고찰

        In this article, I try to investigate mode of television documentary to understand forms of documentary. From the beginning of documentary films in the 1920s, documentarists and critics had few disagreements about the fundamental nature and essential characteristics of documentary. However, there is general agreement about the broad definition of documentary: documentaries were to be based on real life, but documentarists were given considerable leeway in shaping that raw material into a dramatic form that hopefully would engage audiences. As Documentary is media text, it is produced in mutal relevance with a socio-political context, an institutional circumstances of media which text is constructed and an internal aesthetics of cultural text. Essentially, Documentary have various expressive forms. In this viewpoint, this article emphasis the idea that documentaries are artefacts constructed in a variety of ways, and inquire into mode of represention. Modes of representation are basic ways of organizing texts in relation to certain recurrent features or conventions. Bill Nichols discusses four modes of representation of most documentary films.

      • 폴리우레탄을 이용한 Thiobacillus sp. IW의 고정화

        The immobilization of Thiobacillus sp. IW, the hydrogen sulfide removing bacterium, was studied by using the adsorption and physical capture methods. In the case of immobilization by the adsorption, the type, size, and amount of polyurethane foam were affected by the cell immobilization capacity of supporter. Among supporters, MC-70 was better immobilizing material. The optimum size and amount of polyurethane foam were 5∼8mm and 8g/L, respectively. In the case of immobilization by the physical capture, polyurethane foam could be prepared with the same ratio of modified MDI prepolymer, polyol, and medium with better condition. The optimum size and amount of polyurethane foam were 6∼7mm and 8g/L, respectively. Considering the cell immobilization capacity, the immobilization by physical capture was more effective than the immobilization by adsorption. The immobilization intensity by adsorption was 85% after shaking for 24hrs, whereas the immobilization by physical capture was 92% under the same condit

      • 등속성트레이닝이 투창선수의 경기력 향상에 미치는 효과

        The purpose of this study was to investigate the performance effect of the Isokinetic training on shoulder strength javelin athletic one man case for this study was K.G.H, who is national team. The left and right shoulder muscle of the subject was trained for then weeks. Experimental measurement were conducted before training(pre), at the four weeks of training(mid) and ten weeks(past), respectively. The experiment factors investigated in this study were shoulder muscle strength, muscle power, angle of peak torque and degree ration to each angle. The follwing results were obtained from this study. 1) Right shoulder more improved the muscle strength extention 41 percent, flextion 24 percent, and left shoulder more improved extention 41 percent flextion 26 percent than befor training. 2) Right shoulder more improved the muscle extention power 32 percent, flextion power 32 percent, and left shoulder more improved extention power 24 percent, flextion power 43percent than befor training. 3) From the result of pre-test angels, peak-torque was exerted at 32 degree of the shoulder angle and about 34 percent of the maximum muscle strength decreased with unsmoothed pattern at 42 degree of the shoulder angle. The post-test after eight weeks training showed that the pear-torque occurred at 12 degree of the shoulder angle and the 50 percent of shoulder muscle strength decreased at the region of 156 degree.

        산모혈과 제대혈에서 연농도에 관한 조사

        This study was conducted to evaluate the blood lead levels in 141 pregnant women who were not occupationally exposed to lead and their umbilical cord, and to identify some differences in blood lead levels by living area. The subjects were all delivered at St. Benedict Hospital in Pusan and the blood lead levels were measured by graphite furance atomic absorption spectrophotometer. The summarized results were as follows. 1. The geometric mean lead levels in maternal and cord blood were 8.0±1.8μg/dl, 5.0±0.6μg/dl respectively. 2. Lead levels in maternal(8.7±1.7μg/dl) and cord blood(5.4μ±0.7μg/dl) of industrial area(n=24) were higher than residential area(n=124) which were 7.9±1.7μg/dl and 5.0±0.6μg/dl respectively(p<0.05). 3. Maternal blood lead concentration was significantly correlated to cord blood lead concentration(r=0.6090, p<0.001), but other variables(maternal age, paternal smoking, birth weight, etc) were not correlated.

      • Activation Assessment and Waste Classification of End Shield in Wolsong Unit 1

        Wolsong unit 1, the first PHWR (Pressurized Heavy Water Reactor) in Korea, was permanent shut down in 2019. In Korea, according to the Nuclear Safety Act, the FDP (Final Decommissioning Plan) must be submitted within 5 years of permanent shutdown. According to NSSC Notice, the types, volumes, and radioactivity of solid radioactive wastes should be included in FDP chapter 9, Radioactive Waste Management, Therefore, in this study, activation assessment and waste classification of the End shield, which is a major activation component, were conducted. MCNP and ORIGEN-S computer codes were used for the activation assessment of the End shield. Radioactive waste levels were classified according to the cooling period of 0 to 20 years in consideration of the actual start of decommissioning. The End shield consists of Lattice tube, Shielding ball, Sleeve insert, Calandria tube shielding sleeve, and Embedment Ring. Among the components composed for each fuel channel, the neutron flux was calculated for the components whose level was not predicted by preliminary activation assessment, by dividing them into three channel regions: central channel, inter channel, and outer channel. In the case of the shielding ball, the neutron flux was calculated in the area up to 10 cm close to the core and other parts to check the decrease in neutron flux with the distance from the core. The neutron flux calculations showed that the highest neutron flux was calculated at the Sleeve insert, the component closest to the fuel channel. It was found that the neutron flux decreased by about 1/10 to 1/20 as the distance from the core increased by 20 cm. The outer channel was found to have about 30% of the neutron flux of the center channel. It was found that no change in radioactive waste level due to decay occurred during the 0 to 20 years cooling period. In this study, activation assessment and waste classification of End Shield in Wolsong unit 1 was conducted. The results of this study can be used as a basis for the preparation of the FDP for the Wolsong unit 1.
