        Preparation and Catalytic Performance of Amidoximated Polyacrylonitrile Bimodal Nanofiber Iron Complexes

        To balance the specific surface area and porous structure of nanofibrous heterogeneous Fenton catalyst for therapid transfer of dye molecules during dye-containing wastewater treatment, a polyacrylonitrile nanofiber with bimodaldiameter distribution (n-PAN-D) was prepared and amidoximated, followed by coordinating with Fe3+ ion (Fe-AO-n-PAND). The modification and coordination process hardly changed the fiber morphology and bimodal diameter distribution ofnanofiber membrane. The amidoximated degree of n-PAN-D increased with the increase of the diameter difference, and thecoordination ability of amidoximated n-PAN-D decreased with increasing the diameter difference. Fe-AO-n-PAN-D hadbetter catalytic activity than those with similar thick or thin nanofiber diameters due to the rapid mass transfer of dyemolecules in the catalyst. The possible oxidation and degradation pathway of Reactive Red 195 in the Fe-AO-n-PAN-D/H2O2system was proposed. And the series of reactions may not gradually occur because of the non-selective oxidation of ·OH. Thegood reusability of Fe-AO-n-PAN-D made it potential carrier for heterogeneous Fenton catalyst in wastewater treatment.

        Distribution and Properties of Shear Stress in Elastic Beams with Variable Cross Section: Theoretical Analysis and Finite Element Modelling

        It was found that additional shear stress arising from the bending moment should be involved in the formulation due to the effect of variable cross section, which is quite different from the conventional method of analysis for the prismatic members. This paper focuses on the analytical formulation, properties and distribution regularity of the shear stress for the elastic tapered beams with rectangular cross-section. Currently, an analytical expression for the shear stress in elastic tapered beams is derived theoretically based on the theory of elasticity. Most notably, it is strictly proved in mathematics that the additional shear stresses arising from bending moment are self-balanced which only change the distribution of shear stress in the section but will not affect the shear stress resultant. This new finding will be beneficial to promoting the development and consummation of non-prismatic beam theory. The correctness of the theoretical formula have been verified through comparisons with finite element (FE) results of two groups with a total of 12 three-dimensional FE models. The validity of self-balanced properties of additional shear stress in tapered beams under pure bending is additionally verified by using Free Body Cuts in ABAQUS program.

        Effects of Face Sheet Structure on Mechanical Properties of 3D Integrated Woven Spacer Composites

        Due to the lightweight, structural integrity, superior heat and sound insulation performance, three-dimensional(3D) integrated woven spacer composites are expected to be used in many fields such as marine, automotive, electronics, andbuilding industries. This paper reports the effects of face sheet structure on the mechanical properties of 3D integrated wovenspacer composites. Three-point bending, quasi-static compression and low-velocity impact tests were conducted to comparethe mechanical responses of 3D woven spacer composites with plain and complex face sheets. The floating yarn segments incomplex face sheet could efficiently transfer the stress to neighboring areas and lead to a more balanced stress distribution. The existence of floats thus has positive effect on mechanical properties of composites. On the contrary, plain structuresurface was dense and the stress transfer was easily hindered by numerous weaving points, resulting in stress concentrationand ultimate premature failure. As a consequence, for surface-dominated properties such as warp-direction bending andimpact resistance, 3D integrated woven spacer composites with complex surface is better and should be given priority duringindustrial applications. In terms of weft-direction bending property and quasi-static compressive performance, which moredepend on the structure of core piles, show little difference between the composites with different surfaces.

        A Facile Hg2+-related Quenching Photoluminescence Sensor Based on Nitrogen-doped Graphene Quantum Dots

        A Hg2+-related quenching photoluminescence (PL) sensor was fabricated based on nitrogen-doped graphene quantum dots (N-GQDs) as the luminescent agent and glutathione as the masking agent to detect Hg2+ in tap water. The addition of Hg2+ significantly reduced the PL intensity of N-GQDs, which was attributed to coordination reaction inducing the aggregation of N-GQDs. The Hg2+-related quenching PL sensor with glutathione as the masking agent has good selectivity and accuracy. The sensor showed a linear relationship ranging from 0.5 to 110?nM with the detection limit 0.08?nM (S/N = 3). The proposed method was applied to the determination of Hg2+ in tap water, and the results were consistent with atomic absorption spectroscopy (AAS).

        To investigate the differentiation potency of be engraft mesenchymal stem cells to the retinal cell population through the retina ischemia-reperfusion injury model of rat. Ischemic injury model was made by an elevation of intra-ocular pressure in young adult Sprague-Dawely rats. Adult stem cells of third passages labeled with DiI were applied by an intravitreous injection at 3, 5, and 7 days after the ischemia-reperfusion injury(PI), respectively, cared for 2 weeks, and in case of 7 days PI group were also cared for 4 and 6 weeks. For specification of engraft stem cells, immunofluorescent staining by antibodies against retinal neuronal marker molecules was done. Retinal ischemia led to reduce in both thickness and cell number, principally in the inner retina and to a lesser extent in the outer retina. DiI labeled stem cells were migrated and well associated with host retina tissue by 7 days PI. The retinas of stem cell engraft group were thicker than those of the ischemia group, however, and edematous caused maybe by cell suspension solution volume compared to those of normal control group. Stem cells were located mainly in the ganglion cell layer of 7 days PI engraft group, even though there was no co-localization of DiI and neuronal markers. These results suggest that stem cells influence endogenous neuroprotective mechanisms rather than differentiation into any retinal cell population against neuronal degeneration followed by ischemia injury. It has also been suggested that tissue-specific carriers are necessary for successful transplantation of stem cells into degenerated neral retinas.

        The purpose of this paper is to explore the application and research of Marine elements in game art design, and put forward related research directions. First of all, through the review of existing relevant literature and case analysis, it summarizes the common application of Marine elements in game art design, including the creation of Marine scenes, the depiction of Marine creatures, and the integration of Marine culture. Secondly, this paper discusses the influence and significance of Marine elements in game art design, including enhancing game experience, expanding creative and creative space, exploring cultural exchange and inheritance, emphasizing environmental awareness and education. Finally, based on the previous research and analysis, this paper puts forward relevant suggestions and prospects, hoping to provide certain references for practitioners and researchers in the field of game art design. 본 논문은 게임 미술 디자인에서의 해양의 시각적 요소의 적용과 연구에 대해 탐구하고 관련 연구 방향을 제안한다. 먼저, 기존의 관련 문헌과 사례 분석을 통해 게임 미술 디자인에서 해양의 시각적 요소의 일반적인 적용 방법을 종합하여 다룬다. 이에는 해양 장면의 창조, 해양 생물의 묘사, 해양 문화의 통합 등이 포함된다. 다음으로 이 논문은 게임 미술 디자인에서 해양의 시각적 요소의 영향과 의의를 탐구하며, 게임 체험 향상, 창의성 및 작품 공간 확장, 문화 교류 및 전승 탐구, 환경 보호 의식 강화 및 교육 강화와 같은 측면을 다룬다. 마지막으로 이전 연구와 분석을 기반으로 관련 제안과 전망을 제시하여 게임 미술 디자인 분야의 실무자와 연구자에게 참고 자료 및 영감을 제공하고자 한다.

        Clinical Features and Differences of Miller Fisher Syndrome in Southern China: Retrospective Analysis of 72 Patients in 13 Provinces of Southern China

        Background and Purpose We aimed to determine the clinical features of Miller Fisher syndrome (MFS) in southern China and compare them with those presenting in other countries. Methods We collected the medical records of patients diagnosed with MFS during 2013–2016. We analyzed the age, sex, onset season, precursor events, clinical symptoms and signs, findings of nerve conduction studies (NCS), cerebrospinal fluid (CSF), therapeutic remedies, nadir time, and length of hospital stay of patients with MFS in southern China. We concurrently compared the differences between urban and rural areas and between patients with incomplete ophthalmoplegia (IO) and complete ophthalmoplegia (CO). Results The study enrolled 72 patients: 36 from rural areas and 36 from urban areas, and 50 males and 22 females. The mean age at onset was 47.72 years, and 30 (41.7%) and 21 (29.2%) patients developed MFS in spring and winter, respectively. The typical triad of ophthalmoplegia, ataxia, and areflexia was observed in 50 (69.4%) patients. A history of upper respiratory tract infection 1 week before onset was found in 52.8% of the patients, while 5.6% experienced gastrointestinal infections and 48 (73.8%) exhibited albuminocytological dissociation in the CSF study. Only 26 (36.1%) patients presented abnormalities in NCS. Moreover, restricted outward eyeball movement presented in 83.5% of the patients with classic MFS and acute ophthalmoplegia, and bilateral symmetrical ophthalmoplegia presented in 64.2%. With the exception of the higher proportion of NCS abnormalities in urban areas (47.2% vs. 25.0%), urban and rural differences were insignificant regarding sex ratio, age at onset, high-incidence season, precursor events, disease characteristics, and albuminocytological dissociation in the CSF. Furthermore, patients with CO were older than those with IO (64.53±7.69 vs. 43.19±14.40 years [mean±standard deviation], p<0.001). Conclusions The patients with MFS were mostly male and middle-aged, and most presented in winter and (especially) spring. More than half of the patients had clear precursor events, most of which were classic MFS with the typical triad. More than 70% of the patients presented albuminocytological dissociation in the CSF. NCS abnormalities were uncommon in MFS. The age at onset was lower in patients with IO than in patients with CO; bilateral symmetrical extraocular muscle paralysis was the most common symptom, and the external rectus was the most frequently involved muscle.
