        Quantum-Structure-Dependent Excitonic Carrier Dynamics of InxGa1-xN/GaN Multi-Quantum-Wells

        The excitonic carrier dynamics taking place in In$_x$Ga$_{1-x}$N/GaN multi-quantum-well systems have been studied by using low temperature picosecond-time-resolved photoluminescence (LT-TRPL), high resolution transmission electron microscopy (HR-TEM), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), Dynamic time of flight secondary ion mass spectrometry (TOF-SIMS), and quantum mechanical simulation methods. Both time-integrated and time-resolved photoluminescence spectra of In$_x$Ga$_{1-x}$N/GaN multi-quantum-wells with different well thicknesses and indium compositions were measured at 10 K. We assigned the natural radiative lifetime of each sample from the time-resolved PL. We observed that the natural radiative lifetime of In In$_x$Ga$_{1-x}$N/GaN multi-quantum-wells depended strongly on the well thickness and the indium composition. To support the measured natural radiative lifetimes, we calculated the excitonic oscillator strengths of the In$_x$Ga$_{1-x}$N/GaN multi-quantum-wells as functions of well thickness and indium composition by using a 2-D particle-in-a-box model. Values of the well thicknesses and indium compositions from the HR-TEM and XPS compositional depth profiling were used to achieve more realistic computational results and to corroborate the measured natural radiative lifetimes of In$_x$Ga$_{1-x}$N/GaN multi-quantum wells.

        Phenotypic intraspecific variability of Campanula altaica Ledeb. (Campanulaceae) in the Western Siberian forest steppe

        The results of a long-term study of the Campanula altaica phenotypic variation in the Western Siberianforest steppe (Novosibirsk) are described. Two ecotypes (subalpine and meadow) and three populations(Altai, Mountain Altai, and Tomsk) were assessed for the variation in phenological and several structuraltraits. The PAleontological STatistics (PAST) tool was used for statistical data processing. The adaptivechanges in plant seasonal rhythms during their cultivation mainly appeared as a high lability of theflowering phase, whereas most phenological traits did not significantly differ at an intrapopulation level,reflecting an endogenous character of seasonal development. The intraspecific variation of structuraltraits is more pronounced: significant differences in the flowering shoot height, seed productivity percapsule, and several other characteristics are observed. The same traits of the accessions with differentorigins display different degrees and directions of changes. The least variable among the examined traitsare the duration of vegetation, corolla diameter, and mass of 1000 seeds. High individual variation is afactor determining C. altaica as culturally sustainable species.

        The processes of informatization of the modern educational space are inextricably linked with the active introduction of innovative information technologies, which diversify the forms of education and upbringing. The use of these technologies in education due to their specific properties significantly enhances the clarity of learning, emotional impact on students, helps to deepen interdisciplinary links, intensifies students' work, and improves the organization of educational activities. Innovative information technologies offer new opportunities for the use of text, audio, graphic, and video information in lessons, enriching the methodological possibilities of the lesson. Today, the use of these technologies is becoming an integral part of the study of any subject. Using multimedia presentations, publications, and websites created by students in the learning process, they can develop learning skills. According to researchers, there are many multimedia programs for working with a computer in a music lesson, namely: a music player, a program for singing karaoke, a music constructor, music encyclopedias, and training programs. The introduction of innovative information technologies in the system of music education allows expanding learning opportunities.

        Biodynamic parameters of micellar diminazene in sheep erythrocytes and blood plasma

        In this work, we used a preparation of diminazene, which belongs to the group of aromatic diamidines. This compound acts on the causative agents of blood protozoan diseases produced by both flagellated protozoa (Trypanosoma) and members of the class Piroplasmida (Babesia, Theileria, and Cytauxzoon) in various domestic and wild animals, and it is widely used in veterinary medicine. We examined the behavior of water-disperse diminazene (immobilized in Tween 80 micelles) at the cellular and organismal levels. We assessed the interaction of an aqueous and a water-disperse preparation with cells of the reticuloendothelial system. We compared the kinetic parameters of aqueous and water-disperse diminazene in sheep erythrocytes and plasma. The therapeutic properties of these two preparations were also compared. We found that the surface-active substances improved intracellular penetration of the active substance through interaction with the cell membrane. In sheep blood erythrocytes, micellar diminazene accumulated more than its aqueous analog. This form was also more effective therapeutically than the aqueous analog. Our findings demonstrate that use of micellar diminazene allows the injection dose to be reduced by 30%.

      • Leadership Development in Students as Part of Attitude Development

        Leadership development corresponds to the focus on the individual's success and competitiveness strategy. This is the optimal direction of the organization of attitude development because it covers two aspects of the student's personality development, professionally-oriented and self-centric. The aim of the study is to identify and compare the leadership level in second-and fourth-year students to see dynamics of development and implementation of the leadership phenomenon in the professional and personal making up of future specialists. Based on the theoretical analysis of the issue, the authors developed an objective and subjective diagnostic model for leadership skills. In this study, data of the objective diagnostic technique are the key. Subjective diagnostic technique for leadership skills provides insights for problem interpretation. At the level of the first group of respondents, the average Leadership Skills Level of the second-year students was quite low and was found within the medium level. The second group of respondents consisting of the fourth-year students showed a slight but effective improvement. The Leadership Skills of this group were found at a sufficient level. Positive dynamics was revealed for all criteria of leadership skills as a result of applying objective diagnostic methods: decreased percentage of students with negative and relatively low markers of Leadership Skills Level and corresponding increase in percentage of applicants with positive markers of Leadership Skills Level. Further research can be organized in the direction of identifying and developing successful universal and professionally-oriented tactics for leadership development in students as part of attitude development.
