Drones: A Strategy of Unmanned Warfare
( Fauzia Ghani ),( Sadia Mushtag ),( Sana Hassan ) 인천대학교 사회과학연구원 2016 사회과학연구 Vol.8 No.-
The operational impact of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) is increasing day by day as compared to that of manned systems. It was not until Vietnam War that drones were considered an operational success, but with their successful deployment in Vietnam War by US and after that in the Yom Kippur War by Israel, they became the cynosure of all eyes in the worldwide military circles. The study is conducted to delve into the strategy of unmanned warfare. The purpose of this research paper is to explore the strategy of unmanned warfare by taking a case study of drones. It mainly focuses on the military use of drones and the pros and cons of their deployment. Many studies show that although drones have negative aspects like collateral damages and the psychological effects on the civilian population, but from the military point of view, they are very successful and intend to transform the nature of warfare from the traditional to the unconventional unmanned warfare with more efficiency, persistency and accuracy in their operations

Organic fertilizer is a vehicle through which MPs enter the agricultural soil. The main sources for manufacturing organic fertilizer are municipal and residential biowaste, which is often contaminated with plastics. Thus, organic fertilizer plays a vital role in the entry pathway of MPs into the agroecosys - tem. However, there are no standardized detection and quantification techniques available to analyze MPs from organic fertilizer and it is difficult to identify how much MPs are carried by organic fertilizer in an agroecosystem. This study overviews the sources of MPs in agricultural land and their adverse effects on soil health, organisms, and plants. Although MPs decrease bulk density of soil and enhance aeration, they negatively affect soil organisms. In addition, MPs negatively affect seed germination, growth, and development of plants. Therefore, in the future more research needs to be focused on optimizing a stan - dard method for the removal of MPs from organic fertilizer with sustainable farming to ensure food safety.
Women Leadership in Politics of South Asia: A Case Study of Benazir Bhutto and Indira Gandhi
( Fauzia Ghani ),( Sadia Mushtaq ) 인천대학교 사회과학연구원 2014 사회과학연구 Vol.5 No.-
Leaders are inevitable for the growth and development of any polity. Their dynamic role can determine the fate of the society in context of politico-economic changes in positive manners. Leader in any society can emerge naturally or situationally depending on the political culture which a society possesses. It is generally agreed notion that qualified leaders are rare and when it comes to woman leadership the fact becomes more authentic as women leadership is not experienced by many states. There is hardly any state which has the women leadership as a routine. No matter, women have been playing a decisive role in all walks of life; however it is evident that their participation in political matters and affairs as a leader is limited. When it comes to the case of South Asian politics, the women leadership is marginalized either due to their own training or because of political culture where male chauvinism is unavoidable. Viewing from the perspective of South Asian States particularly India and Pakistan, the fact cannot be ignored that the production of women leadership is not a regular feature of their politics. Rather they succeeded their fathers i-e, Benazir Bhutto and Indira Gandhi. Both women although had dynamic qualities to lead, could not successful in achieving the desired results. Their role in politics remained subject to the condition of political issues and pressures.
Factors Influencing Use of Social Commerce: An Empirical Study from Indonesia
RAHMAN, Arief,FAUZIA, Refika Nurliani,PAMUNGKAS, Sigit Korea Distribution Science Association 2020 The Journal of Asian Finance, Economics and Busine Vol.7 No.12
This research aims to analyze the factors affecting the acceptance of social commerce, including performance expectancy, effort expectancy, social support, facilitating conditions, hedonic motivation, habitability, price saving orientation, and privacy concerns using the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT2). UTAUT2 has been examined and modified in various contexts. The research model studies the acceptance and use of technology in the context of customers. This study adopts a quantitative method using the partial least squares regression (PLS) approach involving 244 respondents. The respondents are users of social commerce in Indonesia. The result of this research indicates that social influence, facilitating conditions, hedonic motivation, habit, price value orientation, and privacy concerns have a significant effect on behavioral intention. On the other hand, performance expectancy and effort expectancy does not affect behavioral intention. Furthermore, price value has a significant effect on social commerce user behavior. Lastly, facilitating conditions and habits does not affect social commerce user behavior. This research contributes to the development of theory by examining an additional variable, which is privacy concern. This study is significant since social media and social commerce have grown exponentially nowadays. Implications of the results for the development of the theory (UTAUT2) and practice are discussed in the article.

Helicobacter pylori infects more than half the human population. However, the prevalence in Indonesia is low, as is the prevalence of gastric cancer. Hence, it could be instructive to compare these prevalence rates and their determining factors with those of countries that have high gastric cancer incidence. Ethnicity and genetic characteristics of H. pylori are important determinants of the H. pylori infection rate in Indonesia. The infection rate is higher in Bataknese, Papuans and Buginese than in Javanese, the predominant ethnic group. Ethnicity is also an important determinant of the genetic characteristics of H. pylori. Analysis of CagA in the EPIYA segment showed that the predominant genotypes in Papuans, Bataknese and Buginese are ABB-, ABDand ABC-type CagA, respectively. Meanwhile, in the countries with high gastric cancer incidence, almost all strains had East Asian type CagA. An antibiotic susceptibility evaluation showed that the standard triple therapy can still be used with caution in several cities. There is a very high rate of resistance to second-line regimens such as levofloxacin and metronidazole. Recent studies have shown that furazolidone, rifabutin and sitafloxacin are potential alternative treatments for antibiotic-resistant H. pylori infection in Indonesia. Rather than focusing on early detection and eradication as in countries with high gastric cancer prevalence, countries with low gastric cancer prevalence should focus on screening the several groups that have a high risk of gastric cancer. Effect of transmittance on luminescence properties of phosphor-in-glass for LED packaging.
Kim, Yurian,Kim, Sunil,Iqbal, Fauzia,Yie, Hoyong,Kim, Hyungsun Optical Society of America 2015 Optics express Vol.23 No.3

The transmittance of phosphor-in-glass (PIG) color converter material was studied as a factor affecting the luminescence properties of light emitting diode packaging; it is closely related to the residual pores of sintered glass. In this study, the correlation between porosity and optical properties of the glass and PIG plates was investigated. The transmittance, luminescence properties, and porosity were measured by UV-visible spectrometer, integrating sphere and scanning electron microscope, respectively. Transmittance of the sintered glass plate and the luminous efficacy of the PIG plate both increase with decreased porosity, while the light scattering coefficient decreases. Luminescence properties such as emission intensity and color coordinates are also influenced by transmittance of the PIG plate.

Intestinal hypoganglionosis is a rare innervation disorder that provides numerous nutritional, medical and surgical challenges. In this case report, we present a case of a newborn with intestinal hypoganglionosis leading to intestinal failure and intestinal failure-associated liver disease who responded to $Omegaven^{TM}$, a fat emulsion comprised of omega-3 fatty acids. $Omegaven^{TM}$ has been shown to be beneficial in the management of cholestatic liver injury. Clinical success with $Omegaven^{TM}$ was seen in this patient with a clear decrease in aspartate aminotransferase, alanine aminotransferase, alkaline phosphatase and complete resolution of cholestasis with a direct bilirubin of zero within two weeks of initiation of $Omegaven^{TM}$. No current guidelines for the diagnosis and management of hypoganglionosis are available. We recommend a multidisciplinary approach and the use of novel therapies such as fat emulsions composed of omega-3 fatty acids for improved patient outcomes. Appropriate compassionate use protocols should be obtained from the Food and Drug Administration prior to initiation of $Omegaven^{TM}$.
