        국내 간호사의 재난간호 역량: 주제범위 문헌고찰

        Purpose: The aim of study was to identify ranges of Korean nurses’ competency in disaster nursing. Methods: A scoping review was conducted using the Joanna Briggs Institute methodology. The review used information from four databases: RISS, ScienceON, EBSCO Discovery Service, and CINAHL. In this review, key words were ‘disaster’, ‘nurs*’, ‘competenc*’, ‘ability’ and ‘preparedness’. Inclusion and exclusion criteria were identified as strategies to use in this review. The inclusion criteria for this review focused on the following: Korean nurse, articles related to disaster nursing competency, peer-review articles published in the full text in Korean and English. Review articles were excluded. Results: Nineteen studies were eligible for result extraction. A total of 10 categories of disaster nursing competency were identified: Knowledge of disaster nursing, crisis management, disaster preparation, information collection and sharing, nursing record and document management, communication, disaster plan, nursing activities in disaster response, infection management, and chemical, biological, radiation, nuclear, and explosive management. Conclusion: It is necessary to distinguish between Korean nurses’ common disaster nursing competency, professional disaster nursing competency, and disaster nursing competency required in nursing practice. Therefore, future research will be needed to explore and describe disaster nursing competency.

        20세기 초 영국 상선업계 ‘유색인’ 노동자에 대한 젠더화된 인종 담론

        This article seeks to illustrate gendered racial images laid on the ‘coloured’ seamen of the British merchant industry in the early twentieth century. Roughly one third of the whole workforce in the British merchant marine, non-white colonials, or immigrant labourers, were given lower pays and poorer working conditions than those for white British sailors. The racial ideology that justified their marginalization in the mercantile industry, and the British society as a whole, was expressed through and strengthened by genderspecific attributions of the colonials. On board, the idea of maritime masculinity has related skill-levels required for various jobs with manly quality of the sailor who performed the jobs. So it was natural that the roles deemed feminine - for instance catering, stewarding, and stoking - were attributed to the non-white who were despised as feminine and docile. These racial images, in turn, justified shipowners’ claims that they only paid the ‘coloured’ workers lower wages because they did women’s, i.e., menial, tasks. Off the ships, however, the existence of the ‘coloured’ seamen were rejected by the British society because their alleged sexuality and aggressiveness were deemed threats to the white men and the British civilizations. The ‘race riots’ that happened in nine port towns over the year 1919 revealed British society’s fear for black masculinity - which meant superior sexual power and almost animal-like aggressiveness.       • 일본의 지역·전문의료기관 연계 약국 도입과 시사점

        일본은 2019년부터 입·퇴원 시와 재택 의료이용 시 다른 의료 제공 시설과 연계하여 환자에게 서비스를 제공하는 ‘지역 연계 약국’과 암 등의 전문적인 약학 관리를 할 때 다른 기관과 연계하여 서비스를 제공하는 ‘전문의료기관 연계 약국’ 제도 도입을 추진하였다. 형식적인 연계가 아니라 실질적으로 업무 연계와 환자 케어가 가능하도록 환자들의 치료 정보, 약물 사용 정보를 의료기관, 약국 등 관련 기관이 상호 공유한다는 것이 특징이다. 단카이세대의 노령화에 따른 일본의 제도 변화는 고령사회에 접어든 우리나라의 보건의료서비스 제공에 시사점을 제공한다.

        Literature-based Instruction : A Case Study of an Elementary ESL Classroom in the US

          This case study of eight ESL second graders looks into how children in an elementary ESL classroom in the US develop their language and literacies in a literature-based classroom. Drawn upon the key notions of literature as play (Hade, 1991), the role of play as a Zone of Proximal Development (ZPD) (Vygotsky, 1978), and Bruner’s (1986) ‘social reality’ in literary narratives, the author explores how children’s literature plays a crucial role in ESL children’s learning of a new language under four different types of play such as dramatic play, language play, pretend/make believe, and play in arts and crafts. This study also looks at how literary narratives inspire children to engage in social realities on their own through play with literature, traversing the emotional and aesthetic realm as well as cognitive and social matters.

      • A Performance Comparison between ShortcutFusion and STONNE for YOLO Network Acceleration

        We model the architecture and mapping/dataflow of an RTL-based CNN accelerator implementation [1] using STONNE [2], a cycle-level simulator for DNN acceleration. Through empirical results with a YOLO network for object detection, we demonstrate the performance gap between the two and provide insights into the gap, which enhances the understanding of the performances obtained by simulators for exploring the architecture design space for CNN accelerator implementations.

        Speaking with a foreign accent: Developed strategies of East Asian international students in Australian higher education

        This study investigates strategies developed by East Asian international students to cope with the communication barriers caused by accented English. While these students encounter a range of communication barriers caused by accented English, research investigating how these students mitigate the challenges to successfully complete their studies has been limited. Using a qualitative survey approach, this study presents findings from responses from 306 East Asian students to the question “What would be the three top tips that you would give to new international students to be better understood by others and why?” The students, originally from English as foreign language countries (EFL) located in both Northeast and Southeast Asian regions, at one Australian university. In this survey research, two main types of strategies were identified: (a) verbal strategies and (b) non-verbal strategies. The first theme concentrates on enhancing the ability to produce intelligible sounds. The second theme emphasises behaviours or self-discipline in attempting to improve overall speaking fluency. Practical implications are considered for these students’ intercultural communication and learning support.

        The Low-Lying Quadrupole Strength of 30Ne and 32Mg Is Revisited

        The quadrupole strength functions in neutron-excess nuclei among N = 20 isotones are calculated by using the simple Bardeen-Cooper-Schrieffer plus quasi-particle random phase approximation method with a zero-range residual interaction. Adopting the neutron-pairing gap energy predicted by the recent Hartree-Fock-Bogoliubov calculation, we obtain reasonable results for the so-called anomalously strong B(E2) strength found in the lowest 2+ states of 30Ne and 32Mg. In fact, the results are quite similar to those obtained by a much more elaborated study which employed a residual interaction derived from the Skyrme Hamiltonian. Therefore, our outcome may indicate that the main mechanism for the strong collectivity of the low-lying quadrupole strength in 30Ne and 32Mg comes mostly from neutron-pairing correlations in the ground state and that a particular choice of the residual interaction is not so crucial in reproducing the collectivity.**";

        놀이를 소재로 한 그림책에 대한 성인 독자의 반응

        본 연구는 인간 발달의 서사 모델에 따라 그림책 읽기가 성인 독자에게 자신의 어린 시절 놀이 경험을 회상하는 데 도움을 주는지, 그렇다면 회상된 놀이의 유형과 내용은 어떠한지를 탐색하기 위해 수행되었다. 이를 위해 성인 독자에게 놀이를 소재로 한 그림책을 제시하고 그림책을 읽기 전후로 회상한 놀이경험과 그림책에 대한 반응을 인터뷰를 통해 수집하였다. 그 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 그림책을 읽기 전에 성인들이 회상한 놀이는 주로 ‘규칙이 있는 게임’이었으며 야외에서 이루어진 동적인 놀이였다. 그러나 그림책을 읽은 후 대부분의 성인 독자들은 읽기 전과는 유형이 다른 유년기의 놀이를 회상하였다. 둘째, 놀이를 소재로 한 그림책을 읽기 전 성인들은 여러 놀이를 파편화된 상태로 회상하거나 한 개의 놀이 행위의 명칭만을 회상하였다. 그러나 그림책을 읽고 난 후의 놀이 회상에서는 서사의 요소인 등장인물, 배경, 플롯이 구체적으로 나타났다. 셋째, 독자들은 놀이를 소재로 한 그림책에 대하여 대체적으로 정서적 반응 또는 미학적 반응을 보였다. 본 연구의 결과는 그림책이 유아부터 노인까지 전 연령이 향유할 수 있는 예술 장르이자 도서임을 확인하며 성인 독자가 유년기를 회상하며 자신을 재발견하도록 도와줄 수 있는 매체임을 시사한다. The purpose of this study is to explore whether reading picturebooks portraying children’s play assists adult readers to recall their childhood play memories according to the narrative model of human development. In this study, adult readers recalled their play memories before and after reading a picturebook depicting children’s play. Adult readers’ responses to the picturebooks were also collected. The types of play from their memories were categorized and the responses were qualitatively analyzed through open coding. The results indicated that first, before reading picturebooks portraying children’s play, the type of play that adult readers mostly recalled was games with rules which happened outdoor. Second, after reading a picturebook, adult readers recalled new play memories which contained more detailed elements of narratives. Third, most adult readers responded to picturebooks either emotionally or aesthetically. This study suggests the perspective on picturebooks as a literature and art genre for readers from birth to death. In addition, as an evocative object, a picturebooks could assist adult readers to recall and rediscover their childhood.

        Maxine Greene의 ‘상상력 학습’을 활용한 고등학교 역사 수업 사례

        역사적 상상력은 역사적 사실이나 현상에서 겉으로 드러나지 않은 의미를 상상을 통하여 발견하는 능력으로 역사적 상상력을 신장시키기 위해서는 학생들로 하여금 역사 행위자가 겪었던 상황으로 들어가 과거를 재연함으로써 ‘마치 역사가처럼’ 생 각하고 행동하는 과정을 경험할 수 있도록 해야 한다. 이에 본 연구에서는 역사적 상 상력 신장을 위한 교수 학습 방법으로 Maxine Greene의 ‘상상력 학습’을 제안하고자 한다. 상상력 학습은 실제 예술 작품에 초점을 맞추고 관찰과 질문, 사실적 정보 수집, 창작, 공유와 성찰이라는 일련의 학습 활동을 통해 역사적 상상력의 하위 범주인 구조적 상상과 감정이입적 이해의 경험을 제공하기 때문이다. 따라서 본 연구는 상상력 학습을 활용한 고등학교 역사 수업을 개발, 적용한 결과 학생들이 역사적 상상력을 경험할 수 있는지 구조적 상상과 감정이입적 이해를 중심 으로 알아보고자 하였다. 이를 위해 총 4차시의 수업을 경기도 성남시 P고등학교 1학년 35명을 대상으로 2015년 12월 21일~28일까지 적용하였으며, 학습 결과물, 성찰 일지, 면담, 감상 중 대화내용을 통해 자료를 수집하였다. 이를 분석한 결과 상상력 학습은 학생들에게 역사적 상상력을 경험하게 함으로써 역사적 상상력 신장에 긍정 적인 영향을 미치는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. Historical thinking, i.e., the ability to think like historians has been emphasized as an important purpose in history education. In particular historical imagination best reveals the characteristics of historical thinking as the ability to imaginatively discover meanings in historical facts or phenomena. In this context, this study aimed to develop ‘historical imagination’ through Maxine Greene’s ‘Imaginative Learning’ approach based on the constructivist epistemology and the art education theory of John Dewey as a method to expand the historical imagination. The Imagination Learning approach which starts with critical observation of art works, purposes to enhance ability of ‘thinking and acting like artists’ and proceeds through the 4 stages of learning activities such as ‘observation and questions’, ‘inquiry for information’, ‘working for creation’ and ‘sharing and reflection’. This study first developed a Korean history class designed by the Imaginative Learning approach and then applied it to 9th graders in high school. Data collected from the students’ learning outcomes, reflective journals, their conversation in class, and interviews with the students were analyzed to examine any effects of their historical imagination according to two categories of ‘structural imagination’ and ‘empathetic understanding.’ The results showed the class based on the Imaginative Learning approach worked for providing positive experience of the historical imagination to the students.
