This study aims at the development of office desk system considering variability to realize various typed desks. The opened and variable workstation for good communications and team work between team members has maintained since 2000. Recently, owing to the growth of knowledge industry and the promotion of office environment, the differentiated workstations are being organized by the type of business. Such a trend reflects that users are requiring a variety of office desks. Therefore, this study focuses on systematic variability to solve a variety of workstations required for office space. The object of this study also includes the basic typed- desks and the other desks realized from variable work. This study also aims at the practical variability to feel all the users and manufactures by realizing 6 kinds of desks with the smallest parts. Consequently, it verifies that the systematization can get a designed unity, it is easy for users or manufactures to assemble and disassemble the systematized desks in office space, where the users can often change the workstation with their compatible parts. It is also thought interior designers should carry out a variety of studies on system workstaion, based on the advanced variability.

In today’s knowledge economy, various schemes are being devised in order to attain knowledge and understanding in the most effective ways possible. In an office environment, spatial concepts that encourage ‘smart working’ is becoming more prevalent; therefore allocating of space according to the types of work being performed, ways to maximise the work efficiency, and furniture arrangement to accelerate liaison among the users are being carefully considered. Especially in a space where its members are encouraged to communicate and collaborate, the furniture within that space need to be attractive and practical for its users, as well as efficient and effective for the firm the service is being provided for. In this study, we aim to offer furniture design service that satisfies such demands of the present time. Thus, instead of merely following a standard design process in which one approaches a project from design planes to an outcome, various aspects of the working environment will be considered such as the relationship between the space and the users, their needs, and the features of work being performed within the space. After attentive research and analysis, the results will be put into production from the user’s point of view in mind. This study is intended to propose furniture design that embodies the characteristics of integrated working environment that can facilitate efficient use of the limited working space, productivity among the users, and promoting valuable corporate culture.

Since of 2000s, Office furniture have been much changes in the design as the expanding demand for the diversity and variability of office space. Especially, OA System Furniture including Panel System were developed by the shape and configuration considering the members’ communication and teamwork. However, It is limited to the situation for the leading manufacturer of office furniture, Most small business cope with a negative policy because development personnel and expense. Thus, Accounted for the majority of the office furniture manufacturing, Small and medium-sized furniture manufacturers are needed measures of development that reflect these realities, rapid and practical. This study suggests redesign in a way that a small and medium-sized furniture manufacturers to overcome the limited design development environment and rapidly respond to changing market conditions. And this study has an intend to develop the Office Panel System.

In the recent society of knowledge industry, a changed phenomenon of domestic corporate culture, Work Smart working in creative and various ways beyond time and space is emerged from Work Hard working just hard. Thus, many corporations are trying to configure the emotional space beside the work space to make effective and creative achievements in free work environment out of rigid organizational culture in the past. This space is called Amenity space which enables to implement physical and psychological healings simultaneously and this is not a place for rest like in the past industry society. This research suggests distinctive characteristics of other amenity furniture unlike general furniture by analyzing the variously suggested change of forms of amenity furniture for Work Smart and the changes of configuring key factors such as forms, structures and functions of amenity furniture.

For low-emissivity application on window glass, coalescence of thin film silver islands is crucial for high transmittance in the visible and high reflectance in the infrared. It is well known that the underlayer affects the growth mode. In this work, the effect of the underlayer on the growth of silver films deposited by filtered cathodic vacuum arc is discussed. While a nominal 0.1 nm niobium underlayer has promoted the coalescence of silver islands, a 0.2 nm layer did not show these features. From a thermodynamic approach, Nb seeding less one monolayer is considered to reduce the surface energy between the silver atoms and Nb/TiO2 surface, resulting the change of its growth from 3D islands to 2D-layer modes. If the seed layer exceeds one monolayer, however, a rougher surface is formed because the surface energy of Nb itself is superior to that of Nb-TiO2. The onset of silver layer on the roughened Nb surface is required more silver.
Effect of Post-N+Implantation on the Microstructure of the Interfacial Non-Cubic BN Layers

Plasma source ion implantation has been applied as a post treatment in order to modify the interfacial sp^2 bonded layer of the cubic BN (cBN) films. The effect of ion irradiation on the microstructure of the noncubic BN layer was investigated. From HRTEM observation, the thickness of the BN layer of the representative sample was about 100 nm including 15 nm of initially grown non-cubic layer at the interface between a substrate and the cubic layer. At optimal plasma source implantation conditions, an acceleration voltage of 50 keV and an ion dose of 2×10 exp(16) ions/㎠, the microstructure of the interfacial non-cubic BN layer was changed. It was noticed that the ion irradiation caused the recrystallization of the amorphous phase and transformed the small crystallites into another phase. The micro-hardness of the complex consisting of a hard and soft layer increased as a result of phase transformations. This was caused by atomic displacements in the initially grown amorphous and hexagonal layers. The atomic displacements calculated by the TAMIX code were in the range of 0.31∼0.52 nm per atom within 70∼100 nm in depth.
