        This work provides the biomechanical evaluations of a maunal wheelchair with a bi-directional driving system. The new propulsion strategy can be accomplished by employing a special gear system that converts the oscillatory motion of a handrim into the unidirectional output motion of a wheel. A main feature of the forward · backward propulsion is to supply continuous driving torque without break. Motion analysis has been performed through the two-dimensional image processing for measuring the kinematic properties of the upper arm and fore arm. Then, the inverse dynamics analysis has been done for obtaining the joint torques, the handrim forces and the output power. Results show that the output power by the bi-directional propulsion is almost twice as much as that by conventional propulsion. Also, the new propulsion is expected to reduce the fatigues and injuries at arm joints by employing mort muscle groups for movement. In conclusion, the bi-directional propulsion can greatly improve the performances of manual wheelchairs by providing better mobility as well as by guaranteeing several advantages from a biomechanical viewpoint. Future development of a manual wheelchair optimized for the bi-directional propulsion will further improve the propulsion performances.

      • 폐선암조직에서 Neutral Ribonuclease의 분리와 성상에 관한 연구

        Concentrations of nucleic acids and proteins were determined in adenocarcinoma tissue of the lung and were compared with those in the control lung tissue. Also studied were properties of the neutral RNase specific to the lung cancer to investigate the possible role of the RNase in process involved in carcinogenesis of adenocarcinoma of the lung. DNA and protein centents were unchanged, but RNA content was increased in adenocarcinoma tissue of the lung. Neutral RNase activity was unchanged in the cancer tissue, indicating that the RNase could not be used as a marker for the lung cancer. Proteins and neutral RNase in adenocarcinoma tissue of the lung were separated by a DEAE-cellulose column chromatography into 7peaks each, of which the peak I neutral RNase isozyme was not found in the control lung tissue. This indicated that the peak I neutral RNase was specific to the adenocarcinoma of the lung. The peak I neutral RNase isolated from the adenocarcinoma tissue of the lung did not hydrolyze single stranded (ss) polydeoxyribonucleotides and double stranded (ds) polynucleotides, but hydrolyzed ss polyribonucleotides. The enzyme was observed to be highly active toward poly C, poly U and RNA, indicating that the RNase appeared to be mixed type of secretory and nonseretory RNase. The peak I RNase was not active toward A-A and G-G linkages, but unusually highly active toward A-C and A-U linkages (4 to 6 fold as active as C-C linkage). These results indicated that the peak I neutral RNase isolated from the adenocarcinoma of the lung was (1)specific to the lung cancer. (2) mixed type of seretory and nonsecretory enzymes, (3) unusually highly active toward A-C and A-U linkages of ss polyribonucleotides and RNA, suggesting that the RNase might play roles in processes involved in carcinogenesis and suppression of cancer.

        The annealing effects on micro-structures and electrical properties of amorphous silicon gate and of thin gate oxide were observed.The amorphous silicon gate was crystallized by post gate anneal.The resistivity of gate was decreased due to the increse of dopant activation rate as increasing the annealing temperature.The electrical properties of thin gate oxide are improved by post gate anneal at higher temperatures.Particularly, the interface trap density at oxide/silicon decreases with the increase of annealing temperature.

        Novel pressure sensor consisted of single mode fiber and planar waveguide was demonstrated. The resonance wavelength of sensor was shifted due to refractive index variation of polymers by pressure and its sensitivity depended on materials of waveguide. We adopted symmetric waveguide structure to solve the problem of polarization dependence in side polished fiber. AZ4562 and THB30 are used as a waveguide materials and the sensitivity was -0.008㎚/bar and 0.16㎚/bar, respectively.

        The purpose of this study is to clear up the Hakuseki Arai's(新井白石, 1657∼1725) view of Korea. He, who was the representative intellectual of Japan in the 18th century, thought as follows; "Korea is indebted greatly to Japan and so has to express appreciation. Nonetheless Korean people forget it and keep a grudge against Japan's invasion(1592∼1598) in mind. Besides they always watch for a chance to return it. Realizing that the desire might not be accomplished actually by the sword, they take the different way, so to speak by the pen. They have dispatched the diplomatic officials who are prominent especially in Chinese classics to show the superiority in literature. And they also regard Japan as a barbarous nation." Therefore he has conceived that Korea might not be the counterpart to maintain the good relation for a long time.

        本論文は菊岡久利の 「舞臺の崔承喜」 と재藤茂吉の 「舞踊」 を中心にして、 植民地時代の日本の文人たちが崔承喜をざのようにみていたを調べたものでぁゐ。 まず、 茂吉は彼女の舞踊から 「朝鮮の光」 を발見した。 もちろん、 彼女の踊りから 「朝鮮的なもの」 を발見したのは、 彼が最初ではない。 はやくも川端康成が彼女のダソスから朝鮮民族の 「におい」 を嗅いだが、 以後、 日本文人の大多數が彼女の舞踊から 「朝鮮的なもの」 を感じていた。 確かに彼女の踊りには 「朝鮮の匂ぃ」 が强かった。 菊岡も彼女の舞踊を見ながら朝鮮と朝鮮の歷史、 そして朝鮮人の仲間を思ぃ出した。 しかしながら、 菊岡はそれだけで滿足するとができなかった。 彼は彼女に朝鮮の火を燃やす心を要求してぃた。 すなわち、 彼は彼女の朝鮮舞踊が喚起させる朝鮮的な匂ぃに滿足できず、 より强烈な朝鮮人としての 「염の胸」 を願っていたのである。 このように、 崔承喜の踊りに대する茂吉と菊岡の評가は微妙に違う。 だが、 どちらにしても、 金違壽が 「彼女が存在するということ自体が、 ぼくらには一つの希望でした」 といつたように、 崔承喜が당時日本の植民統治の下で呻いていた朝鮮人たちに民族的な自負心を持たせた存在であったことに변りはない。

        A security system using an infrared sensor was fabricated to prevent an intruder. The fabricated system has pasword key pad to permit someone to enter the house and office. The control circuit of the system is designed by VHDL(Very high speed integrated Hardware Description Language). The output signals were displayed in LCD, LED, buzzer. This designed system in this paper has a advantage to supplement additional function with ease.

      • Gate 전극의 post annel에 따른 GOI의 특성

        The characteristics of GOI (Gate Oxide Integrity) according to post gate anneal were investigated, and it is found that the property of polycrystalline silicon gate electrode and reliability of then gate oxide are strongly affected by the post anneal. The strong compressive stress in amorphous silicon gate is relaxed as the micro-structure of the gate changes to polycrystalline silicon by the increase of anneal temperature. The reliability of then gate oxide and interface properties between oxide and silicon substrate greatly depends on the activation anneal temperature. Particularly, the interface trap density at oxide/silicon decreases with the increasing of anneal temperature, which is consistent with the behavior of polycrystalline silicon gate stress.

        농협 김치공장의 경영분석

        To improve the Nonghyup kimchi factories management analysis was conducted by quality factors and financial statements. The amount of kimchi sold by Nonghyup 13 kimchi factories was 64.8 billion won in 2003. Seven factories of them operated at a deficit in 2003. The average sales in the 7 red factories was 90% of that in the 6 black factories. The growth rate of sales in the red factory was 8% of that in the black factory, and the cost of sales in the red factory was 114% of that in the black factory. The reason of higher cost of sales in the red factory was analyzed as the higher labor costs. The ratio of labor costs to sales in the red factory was 26.6%, and this was higher than that in the black factory by 6.4% point. Especially the labor costs of per capita in th red factory was higher than that in the black factory by 13%, and direct labor costs per capita was higher by 30%. The level of labor productivity(gross value added per capita) in the red factory was 71% of that in the black factory, and the level of capital productivity(gross value added to total assets) was 50% of that in the black factory.
