      • INTERNATIONALIZATION AND GLOBAL MARKETING OF AUTOMOBILE RECYCLING COMPANIES TO EXPAND THE WORLD’S VENOUS INDUSTRY: CASE STUDY OF KAIHOSANGYO CO.

Eiko Tomiyama 글로벌지식마케팅경영학회 2018 Global Marketing Conference Vol.2018 No.07

In the research of global marketing so far, research on the arterial industry that manufactures products and supplies them to the market is mainstream, and empirical studies of downstream automobile distribution service companies and automobile recycling companies are inadequate. Research on global marketing by automobile recycling companies is increasingly required due to the growing global environmental problems and the demand for providing inexpensive high quality mobility. In this research, we will clarify the trajectory of internationalization of small and medium-sized enterprises in automobile recycling by using case of KaihoSangyo Co. exporting used parts to 85 countries including Africa. This company is a global advanced company of automobile recycling with headquarters in Kanazawa. He received a variety of outside awards including SDGs business awards. KaohoSangyo's automobile recycling overseas development project is an effort to combine commercial success and sustainable development. The company has established a system to export second-hand used parts of used cars in Japan to developing countries, to visualize quality, to buy and sell. In addition, we are building a system that is beneficial and necessary for emerging countries, such as nurturing overseas buyers' talent, constructing second-hand parts procurement systems in Japan, building overseas second-hand car auction systems. As a result, shortage of mobility in developing countries has been resolved through realization of low price, realizing the reuse of used parts in Japan in emerging and developing countries.

Epidemiologic study on gestational trophoblastic diseases in Japan

        Eiko Yamamoto,Kimihiro Nishino,Kaoru Niimi,Kazuhiko Ino 대한부인종양학회 2022 Journal of Gynecologic Oncology Vol.33 No.6

Objective: This study aims to estimate the population-based incidence of gestational trophoblastic diseases (GTDs) and to identify the characteristics of gestational trophoblastic neoplasia (GTN) in Japan. Methods: The annual number of GTD and live births from 1974 to 2018 were used to estimate the incidence of GTD. The data of 1,574 GTN cases from 1999 to 2018 were analyzed to identify the characteristics of low-risk GTN, high-risk GTN, placental site trophoblastic tumor (PSTT), and epithelioid trophoblastic tumor (ETT). Results: The incidence of hydatidiform mole was 2.02 per 1,000 live births on average which decreased from 1974 to 2008 and increased from 2009 to 2018. The incidence of low-risk GTN, high-risk GTN, PSTT, and ETT was 15.3, 3.5, 0.3, and 0.07 per 100,000 live births, respectively. The estimated incidence of post-molar GTN was 9.8% of molar patients. High-risk GTN was diagnosed more pathologically, had more various kinds of antecedent pregnancies, and had longer intervals after the antecedent pregnancy compared to low- risk GTN. Furthermore, 8.2% of high-risk GTN occurred after the subsequent non-molar pregnancy of hydatidiform mole. The cumulative percentage of developing high-risk GTN after hydatidiform mole reached 89.3% at the 60th month. Conclusion: The incidence of hydatidiform mole, low-risk GTN, high-risk GTN was 2.02 per 1,000 live births, 15.3 per 100,000 live births, and 3.5 per 100,000 live births, respectively. High-risk GTN was diagnosed more pathologically and later after the antecedent pregnancy than low-risk GTN. Following molar patients for five years is needed to improve the mortality of malignant GTN.

An Analysis of Japanese Nearly Synonymous Adverbs: The Case of Totemo, Taihen, and Hizyoo(-ni)

        ( Eiko Torii Williams ) 범태평양응용언어학회 2001 범태평양응용언어학회지 Vol.5 No.2

This study presents a linguistic analysis of three nearly synonymous adverbs totemo, taihen and hizyoo( -ni): The semantic similarity among these adverbs causes difficulty for Japanese learners to use them discriminatingly in given contexts. Reference books, including textbooks, dictionaries, and grammar books, do not give enough information to guide a non-native speaker in the actual usage of these nearly synonymous items, and even those comparisons that do exist are not thorough. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to provide a sharper characterization of these adverbs, which would make it easier for Japanese learners in their acquisition of these adverbs.

Significance of Creation Theology for Contemporary Missions in Japan

( Eiko Takamizawa ) 한국복음주의선교신학회 2014 복음과 선교 Vol.25 No.-

This paper explores how the lack of Creation Theology in Japanese worldview influences their difficulty in receiving the Gospel among Japanese people. The pantheistic Shinto cosmology that leads to the pluralism; the human profit oriented religious views; understanding human sin as spiritual dirt or the lack of strength; the tight group-orientation which limits individual decision making; the difficulty in understanding Jesus` divinity and humanity and His salvific work; the ambiguous eschatology in Buddhistic belief of reincarnation seem to be the primary causes for the resistance in the worldviews among Japanese. Thus, presenting the Creator as the Absolute God, who Himself became the Messiah as the God Incarnated, who will also consummate the whole world is the most significant step for Japanese to understand the inconsistency of their worldviews and the comprehensiveness of the Gospel in the Scripture.

A Vision to Transform Society by Enlightening Women in Japan

Eiko Takamizawa 한국기독교교육정보학회 2014 Journal of Christian education information tech Vol.0 No.26

This paper examined the reasons for the organizational development of the Zenkoku Tomo-no-Kai, a Christian women’s organization founded 100 years ago in Japan. The organization grew up to more than 30,000 memberships in its highest time and 22,000 members are still active today. The finding shows the reasons for the development as follows: 1) The founder Motoko Hani’s creative and innovative vision on women’s roles was ushered by the flux of Western culture after the Meiji restoration. Her personal character as well as her upbringing contributed to the development of her vision. The Christianity she encountered provided her a greater perspective on life and the value of women, which attracted many women who had been oppressed in feudalistic society. Motoko’s keen focus on “life” as an expression of Christian faith helped women to accept Christianity easily. 2) Motoko’s husband, Yoshikazu, helped the initial development of the organization. He began publishing women’s magazines to spread Motoko’s vision. The readers formed local groups called “Moyori Kai”, which became support groups for the members. 3) Several Moyorikai formed regional groups called “Homen Kai”, which formed “Tomo-no-kai” in each district, which eventually formed the nationwide “Zenkoku Tomo-no-Kai” as the headquarters. The organic, concentric structure of the groups provided strong ties among the members and greater significance to their contribution. 4) The nationwide campaigns of concrete and practical suggestions for women based on solid researches made their activities become social phenomena of those days. Continuous publications of Motoko’s writings contributed to the preservation of the original vision of the founder. 5) The gradual decrease of the members in recent years seems to be related with the change of women’s life in the age of consumerism, when better materials are pursued more than quality of life. These findings suggest the Japanese Church and mission is to review the primary orientation of cognitive Christianity and confessional conversion rather than life style conversion as well as their emphasis on conversion rather than discipleship.

National screening programs for cervical cancer in Asian countries

        Eiko Saitoh Aoki,Rutie Yin,Kemin Li,Neerja Bhatla,Seema Singhal,Dwiana Ocviyanti,Kumiko Saika,서민아,김미선,Wichai Termrungruanglert 대한부인종양학회 2020 Journal of Gynecologic Oncology Vol.31 No.3

Cervical cancer is still one of the most common female cancers in Asia and the leading cause of cancer-related deaths in low- and middle-income countries. Nowadays, national screening programs for cervical cancer are widely provided in Asian countries. We reviewed the National Cancer Screening Program (NCSP) in China, India, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, and Thailand. The NCSP were established at varying times, from 1962 in Japan to 2014 in Indonesia. The primary screening method is based on cytology in all countries except for India and Indonesia. In India and Indonesia, visual inspection of the cervix with acetic acid (VIA) is mainly used as a primary screening method, and a “see and treat” strategy is applied to women with a positive VIA result. The starting age of NCSP ranges from 18 years in China to 30 years in Thailand. The screening interval is 2 years in all countries except for China and Indonesia, in which it is 3 years. Uptake rates of NCSP vary from 5.0%–59.7%. Many women in low- and middle-income countries still do not participate in NCSP. To improve uptake rates and thereby prevent more cases of cervical cancer, Asian countries should continue to promote NCSP to the public using various approaches.
