A Macro-Microscopic Investigation of High-Pressure Sprays Injected by a Common Rail System
A. Doudou,A. Maslouhi 대한기계학회 2007 JOURNAL OF MECHANICAL SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY Vol.21 No.8
The main purpose of this research is to investigate high-pressure diesel oil sprays generated by a common-rail system through small nozzle holes. High-speed photography, phase Doppler particle analyzer (PDPA), and a combination of data obtained with high-speed photography and PDPA, based on the light extinction principle within sprays are used to deal with the objective. The sprays are characterised in an environment, which simulates in-cylinder air density of the actual diesel engine when the injection starts. However, it must be pointed out that isothermal condition at room temperature is considered and no-evaporation of drops occurs. A wide parametric study has generated evidence needed to quantify the influence of the common-rail pressure, nozzle hole diameter and environment gas density on the macroscopic evolution of sprays (spray tip penetration, and spray cone angle) as well as microscopic behaviour (spatial and temporal evolution of drop size, drop velocity and drop concentration distributions).
Design of Switchable and Reconfigurable Semi-lumped Wideband Bandpass Filter
Yang Xiong,LiTian Wang,Wei Zhang,DouDou Pang,Fan Zhang,Ming He 한국전자통신연구원 2017 ETRI Journal Vol.39 No.5
A switchable single-wideband (SWB)-to-dual-wideband (DWB) bandpass filter (BPF), which is realized by using lumped switches, is presented in this paper. By alternating the operation modes—ON and OFF—in which the ON mode is achieved by placing the capacitors at the switching spots and the OFF mode is achieved by replacing the capacitors with inductors, DWB-to-SWB BPF can be achieved on the same device. In addition, by changing the capacitor values, the center frequency (CF) of the lower passband of DWB BPF can be easily tuned from 1.69 GHz to 2.22 GHz, while the higher passband stays almost unchanged. As an example, an SWB-to-DWB BPF is designed, fabricated, and measured. This BPF exhibits good performance including wideband, high isolation, compact size, and ability to switch.
Causal Nexus between Financial Integration and Economic Growth: Does Nonlinearity Matter?
( Sami Saafi ),( Meriem Bel Haj Mohamed ),( Makram Ben Doudou ) 세종대학교 경제통합연구소 2016 Journal of Economic Integration Vol.31 No.4
Empirical studies that rely on a linear framework typically fail to find evidence of a causal link between financial integration and economic growth. In this study, we extend the analysis by applying both linear and nonlinear Granger-causality tests to data for 19 emerging and developing countries. Consistent with previous research, the linear causality analysis reveals only weak causal linkages between financial integration and economic growth. In contrast, the nonlinear causality analysis provides evidence of significant nonlinear causality in 18 out of 19 countries. The growth hypothesis holds true for Argentina, Bolivia, Colombia, Morocco, Tunisia, and Venezuela whereas a reverse relation was found in Brazil, Chile, Cote d`Ivoire, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Egypt, South Korea, Malaysia, Mexico, and Paraguay. The feedback hypothesis also exists in Bolivia and Uruguay. Overall, the divergent results in the 19 countries imply that policies cannot be uniformly implemented as there would have been different effects in each country.
