        RNA-mediated regulation of chromatin structures

        It is now evident that transcriptional gene regulation usually requires the re-organization of chromatin architecture. Increasing evidence suggested various kinds of RNAs are involved in this process. Especially the nascent RNAs retained at their site of transcription can serve as a scaffold for organizing transcriptionally either favorable or unfavorable chromatin structures. An emerging concept of phase separation explains how these chromatin structures can be maintained as physically discrete subcompartments within membrane-less nucleoplasm. Evidences that support the crucial role of nascent RNAs in the formation of phase-separated condensates are now rapidly growing.

        <P>Home network is one of the predominant applications in ubiquitous computing. In home network environment, we need semantic recommendation system for exact and abundant information recommendation to users. For semantic recommendation system, we construct ontology for user profiles and home network services firstly in this paper. In addition to, we suggest recommendation method for ontology-based semantic recommendation.         소규모 하수처리를 위한 파일럿 규모 이중슬러지 KNR<sup>®</sup> (Kwon's nutrient removal) 시스템의 영얌염류 제거성능 평가

        본 연구에서 소규모 하수고도처리를 위한 이중슬러지(Dual sludge) $KNR^{(R)}$ (Kwon's nutrient removal) 시스템이 개발되었다. $KNR^{(R)}$ 시스템은 부유성장식 탈질미생물과 부착성장식 질산화미생물을 분리시킨 이중슬러지 공정으로 최초침전조, 혐기조, 무산소조, 농축조의 복합기능을 수행하는 UMBR (Upflow multi-layer bioreactor)과 펠렛형 담체가 충진된 호기성 담체조로 구성되어 있다. 소규모 하수처리시 본 개발공정의 안정성과 처리성능을 평가하기 위해 처리용량 $50m^3/d$ 규모의 파일럿 플랜트를 고도처리 공정으로 개선공사 중인 처리용량 $50m^3/d$ 규모의 실제 소규모 마을하수처리장에 적용하였다. UMBR과 담체조의 체류시간은 각각 4.7 h와 7.2h이었으며, 반응조 수온은 $18.1{\sim}28.1^{\circ}C$이었다. 유입 하수량과 유입수의 BOD/N의 변동폭이 컸음에도 불구하고 파일럿 플랜트는 안정된 처리성능을 보였다. 전체 실험기간 중 처리수의 $COD_{cr}$, $COD_{Mn}$, $BOD_5$, TN, TP의 평균 농도는 11.0 mg/L, 8.8 mg/L, 4.2 mg/L, 3.5 mg/L, 9.8 mg/L, 0.87/0.17 mg/L (poly aluminium chloride(PAC) 투입/미투입)이었으며, 제거율을 각각 95.3%, 87.6%, 96.3%, 96.5%, 68.2%, 55.4/90.3% 이었다. 잉여슬러지 발생량은 $A_2O$와 Bardenpho 등과 같은 단일슬러지를 이용하는 고도처리공정과 비교시 약 1.9~3.8배 낮은 $0.026kg-DS/m^3$ and 0.220 kg-DS/kg-BOD로 나타났다. A simple dual sludge process, called as $KNR^{(R)}$ (Kwon's Nutrient Removal) system, was developed for small sewage treatment. It is a hybrid system that consists of an UMBR (Upflow multi-layer bioreactor) as anaerobic and anoxic reactor with suspended denitrifier and a post aerobic biofilm reactor, filled with pellet-like media, with attached nitrifier. To evaluate the stability and performance of this system for small sewage treatment, the pilot-scale $KNR^{(R)}$ plant with a treatment capacity of $50m^3/d$ was practically applied to the actual sewage treatment plant, which was under retrofit construction during pilot plant operation, with a capacity of $50m^3/d$ in a small rural community. The HRTs of a UMBR and a post aerobic biofilm reactor were about 4.7 h and 7.2 h, respectively. The temperature in the reactor varied from $18.1^{\circ}C$ to $28.1^{\circ}C$. The pilot plant showed stable performance even though the pilot plant had been the severe fluctuation of influent flow rate and BOD/N ratio. During a whole period of this study, average concentrations of $COD_{cr}$, $COD_{Mn}$, $BOD_5$, TN, and TP in the final effluent obtained from this system were 11.0 mg/L, 8.8 mg/L, 4.2 mg/L, 3.5 mg/L, 9.8 mg/L, and 0.87/0.17 mg/L (with/without poly aluminium chloride(PAC)), which corresponded to a removal efficiency of 95.3%, 87.6%, 96.3%, 96.5%, 68.2%, and 55.4/90.3%, respectively. Excess sludge production rates were $0.026kg-DS/m^3$-sewage and 0.220 kg-DS/kg-BOD lower 1.9 to 3.8 times than those in activated sludge based system such as $A_2O$ and Bardenpho.

        일본 사회교육법의 변천 과정에 관한 연구

        ABSTRACT The purpose of this study was to examine how Adult Education Act in japan has been enacted and developed, and to draw some implications that might help in discussing Adult Education Act in Korea. To achieve this goal, the present study focused on the importance of Adult Education Act Enactment in Japan, and the properties of the amendment processes of Adult Education Act excluding the enactment processes of Adult Education Act in Japan. The results of the study indicated that the properties of the developing processes of Adult Education Act in Japan involved an ideology of Adult Education Act as p right of the people, an emphasis on a duty of adult education administration in preparing an environment, the principle of local decentralization in administration and management of the facilities, professional facility-centered adult education administration, a institutionalization of adult education specialist, and the difference of an emphasis between a public and a private sector based on social, political, and economic changes. In order to guarantee the right to team of the people on Adult Education Act, the implications that Korean Adult Education Community could have from the above-mentioned properties were as follows: 1. The right to team of the people should be concerned first in relation to the basic ideology of Adult Education Act. 2. There should be a harmony between the government centralization and the local decentralization in adult education administration. 3. The educational need of the people should be satisfied with the facility-centered adult education administration. 4. The introduction of the institutionalization which reflected thought and intention of the residents by participating was required in adult education administration and management of the facilities. 5. The most important task was how to consider and to concentrate high interest of the people concerning adult education as shown in the amendment process of Adult Education Act in japan.         우리 나라 中等學校 科學敎育의 現況 및 改善方案

        In order to develop the intellective man power effectively, the educational processes are renewd by efforts of emphasizing the science education. We previewed the features, objects and doctrine of present science education. And dicussed the ideas of educational fields, poverty of experimental ability, the problems of educational environments in laboratory and relations between each science texts, and the college entrance examination system. With these discussions, we asserted the importance and improvemental devices of science education in terms of motivations of students, inquiry learning, laboratories, reeducation of science teacher, development of entrance examination system and national supports.

        전기화재 원인진단을 위한 지능형 프로그램 개발

        This paper presents as intelligent computer system, which can easily diagnose electrical fir causes, without the help of human experts of electrical fires diagnosis. For this system, a database is built with facts and rules driven from real electrical fires, and an intellectual database system which even a beginner can diagnose fire causes has been developed, named as an Electrical Fire Causes Diagnosis System : EFCDS. The database system has adopted, as an inference engine, a mixed reasoning approach which is constituted with the rule-based reasoning and the case-based reasoning. The system for a reasoning model was implemented using Delphi 3, one of program development tools, and paradox is used as a database building tool. To verify effectiveness and performance of this newly developed diagnosis system, several simulated fire examples were tested and the causes of fire examples were detected effectively by this system. Additional researches will be needed to decide the minimal significant level of the solution and the weighting level of important factors.

      • Single Stage 역률 보상을 위한 ZVT-FB AC/DC 컨버터

        분포 전력 시스템에서 Single Stage 역률 보상을 위한 ZVT 풀 브리지 AC/DC 컨버터가 제안되었다. 본 논문은 종래의 Two Stage 방식과 비교하여 하나의 전력단 손실을 줄일 수 있다. 간단한 보조 회로는 부가적인 전압과 전류 스트레스와 PWM 성능의 저하 없이 모든 주디바이스에 영전압 스위칭(ZVS)을 가능하게 한다. 제안된 AC/DC 컨버터는 입력 역률 보상과 하나의 전력단으로 110~220VAC전원으로 부터 300VDC로 직접 변환을 한다. 제안된 컨버터의 동작 원리, 해석, 제어를 설명하였고, 1.5kW 전력에서 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션을 통하여 제안된 회로의 이론적인 파형을 소개하였다. A zero-voltage-transition (ZVT) full bridge(FB) AC/DC converter for single stage power factor correction (PFC) in distributed power system is proposed. A simple auxiliary circuit provides zero-voltage-switching (ZVS) condition to all semiconductor devices without imposing additional voltage and current stress and loss of PWM capability. The proposed AC/DC converter provides both of input power factor correction and direct conversion from 110~220VAC line to 300VDC bus with single power stage. Operational principle, analysis, control of the proposed converter together with the computer simulation of 1.5kW prototype are presented.

        Recently, As large scale construction works are widely prevalent a more scientific approach to construction management is required. also, each construction company is searching for a new computer information management system as part of computerization of construction management. Especially in the field of process control management, which constitutes the core of construction management business, a software system that is already available in the market is used, while new software systems are being developed. but, the effective ness of process control softwares as they are used today is yet to be verified. Therefore, the purposes of this study are to identify the problems of process control through investigating the operational realities of process control software in the construction field.
