Flexible risers have been used extensively in recent years for floating and early production systems. Such risers offer the advantage of having inherent heave compliance in their catenary thereby greatly reducing the complexity of the riser-to-rig and riser-to subsea interfaces. Another advantage with flexible risers is their greater reliability. Concerns about fatigue life, gas permeation and pigging of lines have been overcome by extensive experience with these risers in production applications. In this paper, flexible riser analysis results were compared through coupled and uncoupled dynamic analyses methods. A time domain coupled analysis capability has been developed to model the dynamic responses of an integrated floating system incorporating the interactions between vessel, moorings and risers in a marine environment. For this study, SPM (Single Point Mooring) system for an FSU in shallow water was considered. This optimization model was integrated with a time-domain global motion analysis to assess both stability and design constraints of the flexible riser system.
부유망식 및 수하식 양성법으로 생산한 참굴(Crassostrea gigas)의 맛, 냄새 및 조직감 특성 비교

고부가가치 생굴의 생산 및 고도 이용을 위한 일련의 기초연구로 양성 수심을 달리한 부유망식 개체굴의 맛, 냄새, 조직감 등과 같은 관능 특성 및 이들 개체굴과 수하식 덩이굴의 관능 특성과도 비교 검토하였다. 양식 방법을 달리한 굴간의 일반성분 함량은 부유망식 개체굴(RB-O)이 수하식 덩이굴(S-O)에 비하여 수분, 조지방 및 회분의 경우 유사하거나 높았으나, 탄수화물의 경우 낮았다. 양성 수심을 달리한 개체굴 간의 일반성분 함량은 RB-O1이 RB-O3에 비하여 탄수화물의 경우 높았고 조단백질과 회분의 경우 낮았으나, 수분 및 조지방의 경우 차이가 없었다. 총산도와 전자혀를 통한 신맛의 강도는 RB-O1이 RB-O3와 S-O에 비해 모두 강하였다. 염도와 전자혀로 살펴본 굴의 짠맛은 개체굴이 덩이굴에 비하여 높고, 개체굴 간의 경우 RB-O3가 RB-O1에 비하여 모두 강하였다. 유리아미노산과 전자혀로 살펴본굴의 감칠맛은 RB-O1이 RB-O3와 S-O보다 높았다. 굴의 냄새 강도는 RB-O가 S-O에 비하여 낮았고 경도는 S-O에 비하여 RB-O3가 낮았으나, RB-O1의 경우 높았다. 이상의 결과로 미루어 보아 부유망식 개체굴(RB-O)인 RB-O1은 수하식으로 생산한 덩이굴(S-O)에 비하여 신맛, 짠맛 및 감칠맛과 같은 모든 맛이 강하였고, 조직이 단단하면서 굴 향은 연하리라 추정되었다. This study was conducted to compare the proximate compositions and sensory properties (taste, texture, and odor) of Pacific oysters (Crassostrea gigas), which are influenced by culture method such as rack-and-bag (RB-O) and suspended culture (S-O) as well as cultured depth of oyster. The proximate composition of RB-O, compared to S-O, was similar in terms of moisture and crude lipid, but had a higher ash content and lower carbohydrate content. The proximate compositions and sensory properties were also measured during RB-O culture at different water depths. Compared to RB-O cultured at a depth of 3∼4 m from the seawater surface (RB-O3), RB-O cultured at a depth of 1 m from the seawater surface (RB-O1) had a higher carbohydrate content, lower crude protein and ash contents, and similar moisture and crude lipid contents. With respect to sensory properties, compared to other oysters, RB-O1 had higher sourness and umami and a harder texture. These results suggest that culture method and water depth might affect the food components and sensory properties of cultured oysters.

With the increased demand of clean energy and global warming measures, the renewable energy development has been increased recently. The TCP (Tidal Current Power) is one of the ocean renewable energy sources. Having the high tidal energy source in Korea, there are many potential TCP sites with strong current speed. The rotor, which initially converts the energy, is a very important component because it affects the efficiency of the entire system. The rotor performance is determined by various design parameters including number of blades, shape, sectional size, diameters and etc. However, the interactions between devices also contribute significantly to the energy production. The rotor performance considering the interaction needs to be investigated to predict the exact power in the farm. This paper introduces the optimum design of TCP turbine and the performance of devices considering the interference between rotors.
원심모형실험을 이용한 해상풍력발전기 전문설치선의 스퍼드캔 제팅 시스템 성능 분석

Wind energy is an important alternative clean energy source that will contribute to solving the renewable energy needs. In particular, higher wind speeds are available offshore compared to that on land. Therefore the offshore wind power generator can be adopted to generate much power. The wind turbine installation vessel (WTIV) is a new type of mobile jack-up vessel that is designed for the requirements of the offshore wind power industry. The elevating process for the jack-up legs of WTIV can be quite difficult because of the high extraction resistance caused by clay. In soft clay, a high suction force can develope around the spudcan attached to the end of the jack-up legs. Therefore, a jetting system is required to break the suction to pull out the legs. It is important to design a jetting system with an optimized piping and nozzle arrangement to allow easy operation. To evaluate the jetting system performance, it is essential that the model test be performed within the soil base. Spudcan jetting tests were performed in a geotechnical centrifuge. This study introduces the design of the jetting system considering the soft foundation and the centrifuge model test to verify the performance of the spudcan jetting system.
