        The Relationship Between Business Resources, Outside Cooperation, Dynamic Capability, and Performance of Startup Enterprises

        This study seeks to examine the relationship between business resources (through VRIN: Valuable - valuable, Rare - scarce; Inimitable - difficult to adapt, Irreplaceable - hard to replace), dynamic capability, external cooperation, and efficiency of startups operating in the seafood export sector. Research data was collected randomly and conveniently from 250 enterprises in Ba Ria-Vung Tau province, Vietnam, from October 2020 to December 2020. After excluding those ineligible, the remaining 204 enterprises meet the research conditions. With the support of SPSS-AMOS 22 dedicated software, using the 5-step Likert scale and Structural Equation Modeling (SEM), the study conducted analysis steps such as verifying convergence, discriminant value, unidirectional and scale reliability when giving the components correlated freely in the critical model by Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) analysis. Results of the study have shown that the enterprise resource factor - VRIN has a positive impact on dynamic capability, and outside cooperation. However, in contrast to previous studies, we found that the relationship between enterprise resources - VRIN and performance as well as the relationship between dynamics capacity and performance is not clear. This shows that seafood exporters need to promote, exploit and effectively use this precious resource to improve business efficiency.

        Intravenous administration of piceatannol, an arginase inhibitor, improves endothelial dysfunction in aged mice

        Advanced age is one of the risk factors for vascular diseases that are mainly caused by impaired nitric oxide (NO) production. It has been demonstrated that endothelial arginase constrains the activity of endothelial nitric oxide synthase (eNOS) and limits NO generation. Hence, arginase inhibition is suggested to be vasoprotective in aging. In this study, we examined the effects of intravenous injection of Piceatannol, an arginase inhibitor, on aged mice. Our results show that Piceatannol administration reduced the blood pressure in aged mice by inhibiting arginase activity, which was associated with NO production and reactive oxygen species generation. In addition, Piceatannol administration recovered $Ca^{2+}$/calmodulin-dependent protein kinase II phosphorylation, eNOS phosphorylation and eNOS dimer stability in the aged mice. The improved NO signaling was shown to be effective in attenuating the phenylephrine-dependent contractile response and in enhancing the acetylcholine-dependent vasorelaxation response in aortic rings from the aged mice. These data suggest Piceatannol as a potential treatment for vascular disease.

        Large Magnetocaloric Effect above 300 K and Magnetoresistance in (La0.5Pr0.5)1-xPbxMnO3 Perovskites

        Perovskite compounds (La0.5Pr0.5)₁- xPbxMnO₃ (x = 0.1 - 0.5) with orthorhombic structure were prepared by using a solid-state reaction technique. In the studied samples, the spin-glass-like state occurs at low temperatures and the Curie temperature, Tc, increases from 170 K (x = 0.1) to 336 K (x = 0.5) because of a strong double exchange. The magnetic entropy change, │△Sm│, reached its largest value of 2.06 J/kg·K at △H = 13.5 kOe for the sample with x = 0.4 (Tc = 323 K). Due to the large │△Sm│ and high Tc, these materials are suggested for use as active magnetic refrigerants for magnetic refrigeration technology at temperatures above room temperature. While the conductivity of the samples with x = 0.1 and 0.2 exhibits only a semiconducting behavior over the whole measured temperature range, there is insulator-metallic phase transition on the R(T) curves of the samples with x = 0.3 - 0.5. The magnetoresistance of the samples was measured and large values for MR were found.         The effective model of the human Acetyl-CoA Carboxylase inhibition by aromatic-structure inhibitors

        The research investigates the inhibition of fatty acid biosynthesis of the human Acetyl-CoA Carboxylase enzyme by the aromatic-structure inhibitors (also known as ligands) containing variables of substituents, contributing an important role in the treatment of fatty-acid metabolic syndrome expressed by the group of cardiovascular risk factors increasing the incidence of coronary heart disease and type-2 diabetes. The effective interoperability between ligand and enzyme is characterized by a 50% concentration of enzyme inhibitor (IC50) which was determined by experiment, and the factor of geometry structure of the ligands which are modeled by quantum mechanical methods using HyperChem 8.0.10 and Gaussian 09W softwares, combining with the calculation of quantum chemical and chemico-physical structural parameters using HyperChem 8.0.10 and Padel Descriptor 2.21 softwares. The result data are processed with the combination of classical statistical methods and modern bioinformatics methods using the statistical softwares of Department of Pharmaceutical Technology – Jadavpur University – India and R v3.3.1 software in order to accomplish a model of the quantitative structure - activity relationship between aromatic-structure ligands inhibiting fatty acid biosynthesis of the human Acetyl-CoA Carboxylase.

        Combination of Boundary Representation (B-rep) and Mesh Representation for 3D Modeling in Collaborative Engineering Involved in Plant Engineering

        Plant engineering projects are vast and complex, involving cooperation between various engineering fields. 3D geometry data plays an essential role in aiding the engineering collaboration. Collaborative engineering commonly uses two representation methods, namely, boundary representation (B-rep) and mesh representation. Their advantages and disadvantages lead to a gap in 3D modeling procedures. In this paper, a new representation method that combines B-rep and mesh representation in one model for 3D modeling was proposed. The data structure and conversion technology for the proposed representation method was also developed. Despite certain limitations in watertight modeling, the new representation method when compared with the traditional representation method showcased its benefits in both memory requirement as well as processing time.

        Optimal Power Control Strategy for Wind Farm with Energy Storage System

        The use of energy storage systems (ESSs) has become a feasible solution to solve the wind power intermittency issue. However, the use of ESSs increases the system cost significantly. In this paper, an optimal power flow control scheme to minimize the ESS capacity is proposed by using the zero-phase delay low-pass filter which can eliminate the phase delay between the dispatch power and the wind power. In addition, the filter time constant is optimized at the beginning of each dispatching interval to ensure the fluctuation mitigation requirement imposed by the grid code with a minimal ESS capacity. And also, a short-term power dispatch control algorithm is developed suitable for the proposed power dispatch based on the zero-phase delay low-pass filter with the predetermined ESS capacity. In order to verify the effectiveness of the proposed power management approach, case studies are carried out by using a 3-MW wind turbine with real wind speed data measured on Jeju Island.

        Petrological characteristics of lithospheric mantle beneath Nui Nua and Ba Ria areas, southern Vietnam

        Spinel peridotites from the Nui Nua and Ba Ria volcanic suites of southern Vietnam were investigated to interpret mantle processes and geochemical evolution of the lithospheric mantle beneath southern Vietnam. Spinel peridotites from both study areas consist of lherzolites and harzburgites displaying porphyroclastic textures. The spinel peridotites may have experienced a low degree (1–13%) of fractional melting. The variation of light rare earth elements (LREEs) and other incompatible elements in clinopyroxenes indicates that most of the spinel peridotites have undergone silicate metasomatism. The spinel peridotite xenoliths of both areas originated at depths between 35 and 52 km with equilibrium temperatures ranging from 714–1211 °C (±15 °C). Correlations between Sr, Nd, and Pb isotopic compositions of the clinopyroxenes suggest that the spinel peridotites originated from mixing of depleted (DM) and enriched (EM2) mantle sources. The spinel peridotites from Nui Nua gave a Pb-Pb isochron age of 3.6 ± 0.3 Ga which suggests the formation time of lithospheric mantle beneath southern Vietnam due to initial melt extraction.

        The Impact of International Integration on the Inequality of Income between Rural and Urban Areas in Vietnam

        The study examines the impact of international integration on Vietnam's rural and urban income inequalities using the regression model. The data used for this study is based on the results of the Vietnam Household Living Standards survey from 2008 to 2016 of the General Statistics Office. These surveys conducted nationwide with a sample size of 46,995 households in 3,133 communes/wards which were representative at national, regional, urban, rural and provincial levels. The level of international economic integration used in the study is the proportion of import and export turnover of GDP, the proportion of FDI and GDP by province. Due to the heterogeneity and unobservableness of the single observant in the data set, we selected the models of random and fixed effects. The research results show that during the economic integration process, the Export/GDP factor is negatively related to income inequality. The remaining factors (GDP per capita, FDI/GDP, Educational level of households, Percentage of internet users, Aggregation of foreign cash inflow and GDP of the province) are all positively related to income inequality. The findings help assess the impact of international integration on rural-urban income inequality, but also provides a concrete basis to help policymakers address income inequality in the integration process.
