        Investigation of the Deformation Characteristics and Bearing Capacity of a Segment Structure of a Shield Tunnel with Cracks

        In this paper, the displacement data of a segment lining structure in a similar model test were analyzed in depth based on a field investigation and the analysis of a cracked segment in a metro project. In doing so, we proved the displacement characteristics and bearing capacity of shield tunnel segments with different cracks numbers, lengths, and locations. The results showed that the presence of a crack decreases the overall stiffness of the structure relative to an undamaged segment ring and causes the deformation increases with the same load to increase. One-third of the width of a segment is the demarcation point at which the length of the crack begins to affect the mechanical properties of structure of the lining of the segment. When the length of the crack is larger than one-third the width of the segment, the instability of the structure tends to result in sudden failure. Although an increase in the number of cracks does not reduces the ultimate bearing capacity of the structure further, the deformation of the structure of the lining of the segment increases significantly as the number of cracks increases. compared to a crack at the vault and at the arch waist, the ultimate bearing capacity of the segment is the same when the crack is at the bottom of the arch, but the effects of cracks located at the arch bottom in the structural deformation are the most significant.

        A Provable Authenticated Certificateless Group Key Agreement With Constant Rounds

        Group key agreement protocols allow a group of users,communicating over a public network, to establish a shared secret key to achieve a cryptographic goal. Protocols based on certificateless public key cryptography (CL-PKC) are preferred since CL-PKC does not need certificates to guarantee the authenticity of public keys and does not suffer from key escrow of identity-based cryptography. Most previous certificateless group key agreement protocols deploy signature schemes to achieve authentication and do not have constant rounds. No security model has been presented for group key agreement protocols based on CL-PKC. This paper presents a security model for a certificateless group key agreement protocol and proposes a constant-round group key agreement protocol based on CL-PKC. The proposed protocol does not involve any signature scheme, which increases the efficiency of the protocol. It is formally proven that the proposed protocol provides strong AKE-security and tolerates up to n−2malicious insiders for weak MA-security. The protocol also resists key control attack under a weak corruption model.

        Rapid fabrication of NiFe(OH)x/Fe0.2Co-Se complexes for oxygen evolution reaction electrocatalysis

        Exploiting the inexpensive and efficient oxygen evolution reaction (OER) electrocatalysts is crucial forimproving the efficiency of electrocatalytic water splitting (EWS), since the slow 4-electron OER processis a rate-limiting step in EWS. Herein, we prepared the NiFe(OH)x/Fe0.2Co-Se complexes on carbon paper(CP) via an easy two-step electrochemical deposition strategy. By varying the doping amount of Fe andthe deposition time of Fe0.2Co-Se, the OER property of NiFe(OH)x/Fe0.2Co-Se/CP was optimized to the best:only requiring low overpotentials of 243 and 277 mV at the current density of 20 and 100 mA/cm2 (j20and j100) and a small Tafel slope of 36.8 mV/dec, along with a terrific long-term durability in 1 M KOH. According to the experimental results, the rich exposed active sites, improved intrinsic site activityand enhanced electrical conductivity lead to the superior OER performance. Our work will provide someinspiration for designing other metal selenide/hydroxide heterostructures for other energy conversion orstorage applications.

        Influence of Major Urban Construction on Atmospheric Particulates and Emission Reduction Measures

        In order to understand the variation of air quality and the concentration of atmospheric particulates in Chengdu Second Ring Road renovation project, this paper starts to investigate the surrounding residents’ opinions on the influenced environment and their daily lives via questionnaires. Then the study numerically simulates the change rule of atmospheric particulates in terms of time and space by using the Gaussian dispersion- deposition model and the compartment model. The optimized scientific scheme is selected by the improved fuzzy analytical hierarchy process (FAHP) to help decision making for the future urban reconstructions. Finally, the reduced emissions of atmospheric particulates are measured when the improvement scheme is provided. According to the study, it can be concluded that the concentration of atmospheric particulates increases rapidly in central Chengdu city during the renovation project, which results in worsening air quality in Chengdu during March 2012 to March 2013. Taking related measures on energy saving and emission reduction can effectively reduce the concentration of atmospheric particulates and promote economic, environmental and social coordination.
