This study examines the information searching of business travelers and their behavior based on the cultural differences. Despite growing academic interest in business travel i n recent years, there has been little investigation of the information search behaviors of business travelers in a cross-culture context. The above themes are rational assumed that information search behaviour are necessary to understand. To address the identified gap s in the literature, the proposed relationships are examined and presented through using chi-square method with a survey sample. The research sample included Japanese, English and Chinese business travellers. A self-administrated questionnaire was distributed to 211 business travelers attending international conventions in Taipei. The research findings reveal that information preferences of business travelers are significantly differed from the three recognized groups in the case of Taiwan. Some significant differences in information search behaviors were recognized amongst the three recognized respondent groups. Marketing implications were also proposed and presented.
Articles : Is Fiscal Spending Expansionary in a Dual Economy?
( Chi Chur Chao ),( Eden S. H. Yu ) 세종대학교 경제통합연구소 1991 Journal of Economic Integration Vol.6 No.2
A two-region, three-sector, general equilibrium model is utilized to analyze effects of fiscal spending upon a dual economy. We examine the effects of fiscal spending on services prices, the urban unemployment ratio, and national income. The main result of this paper is that fiscal spending may be effective in mitigating unemployment, as Keynesian economists have believe. More importantly, the fiscal policy may even be contractionary under certain plausible conditions.
Photocatalytic water splitting using hygroscopic MgO modified TiO2/WO3 dual-layer photocatalysts
Chao-Wei Huang,Chi-Hung Liao,Jeffrey Chi-Sheng Wu 한국화학공학회 2020 Korean Journal of Chemical Engineering Vol.37 No.8
MgO modified TiO2/WO3 dual-layer photocatalysts (DLP) was synthesized by radio-frequency magnetron sputtering (RFMS). The influences of MgO on the properties and the performance of the prepared DLP were investigated. MgO modified TiO2 thin films were characterized by instrumental analysis such as XRD, AFM, SEM-EDS, and UV-visible absorption spectrometry. Their photoactivity was assessed by conducting photovoltammetry followed by splitting water in a twin-cell reactor, where hydrogen gas and oxygen gas were produced separately. The yield of H2 and O2 in the twin-cell reactor corresponded to the photovoltammetry results, indicating that MgO can significantly improve the photoactivity of DLP. The improvement is attributed primarily to the hygroscopic Nature of MgO, which can increase the amount of H2O molecules on the surface of TiO2 for carrying out the photoreaction. In addition, the incorporated MgO layer can also act as an insulator to suppress the electron leakage that occurred at the TiO2-water interface.
Articles : Wage Differential, the Price of Services and Welfare
( Chi Chur Chao ),( Eden S. H. Yu ) 세종대학교 경제통합연구소 1992 Journal of Economic Integration Vol.7 No.2
A three-goods general equilibrium model is developed to examine the effect of economic growth on the price of services and welfare for poor and rich countries. The presence of intersectoral wage differentials provides an alternative explanation for the lower price of services in poor countries. The price of services is shown to play a central role in determining the welfare effect of economic growth.
WAGE INDEXATION , URBAN UNEMPLOYMENT AND CUSTOMS UNIONS
CHAO, CHI CHUR 한국국제경제학회 1991 International Economic Journal Vol.5 No.2
This paper examines the welfare effects of trade creation and trade diversion for an immobile capital Harris-Todaro economy. The traditonal assumption of a rigid urban wage in the Harris-Todaro model is dropped and a formulation of a wage indexation mechanism makes the urban wage rate endogenous. It is shown that the welfare consequences of trade creation and trade diversion hinge upon the urban wage responses to the formation of various types of customs unions. Additionally, the welfare effects of customs unions are considered for the Lewis labor-surplus economy allowing for urban unemployment.

Since the mid-19th century, the period when the world-wide movement has carried out to make science education available to the general populace, human beings began to accumulate vast and bountiful experiences in the various materials and methods employed in science education; such as, information dissemination, teaching theories, subject matter and text, experimental simulation, and the stimulation of high-achieving students. Generally speaking, to date, science education has developed to a certain level, such that it forms the fundamental theories of a discipline.
