This is an extermely rare disease and a case of tuberculous osteomyelitis of mandible in a 45-year-old woman was reported. The patient was visited for complaining slight facial swelling on left side and purulent discharge from extracted socket. Roentgenograhic examination of the mandible revealed bone destruction on left side of mandibular body. Destructive lesion was removed with saucerization and specimen from the involved soft tissue and bone were sent for microscopic examination. This case proved to be primary tuberculous osteomyelitis caused by the absence of primary focus. After 3 months follow-up check, we noticed good prognosis of bone and soft tissue healing.

Langerhans cell histiocytosis(LCH) appears to arise from Langerhans cell and comprises a spectrum of clinical disease previously described in the literature by a variety of eponyms including histiocytosis X, eosinophilic granuloma, Hand-Christian disease, and Letterer Siwe syndrome. This rare disorder occurs in all groups, predominently affecting children & young adults. LCH has a wide spectrum of clinical features. The differentiation of several forms of this disease is primarily a clinical and not a histologic one. The radiographic characteristics include the appearance of solitary "intraosseous" lesios, the multipicity of "alveolar bone" lesions, the bone lesions, periosteal new bone formation, and slight root resorption. Prognosis of a single bone lesion, is known to be excellent. In contrast, disseminated disease has seen associated with a chronic course, a high rate of morbidity and late consequences, and possible mortality. Treatment of LCH remains problematic. Treatment of multisystem disease, where organ function is being compromised has generally been with high-dose systemic corticosteroids or multiple chemotherapy.

Traffic Accident Merging Index (TAMI) is developed for TMACS (Traffic Safety Information Management Complex System). TAMI is calculated by combining ``Severity Index`` and ``Frequency``. The existing indexes are Traffic deaths per 100,000 population, Traffic deaths per 100,000 inhabitants/per billion veh-km, etc. However, there is no consistency in using them among local governments, so it can create confusion. Moreover, the index level is too complicated to understand. Therefore, this study suggests new traffic safety index, TAMI. It will work to improve the weaknesses and present accurate status of traffic safety in local governments

고추 탄저병은 국내외에서 고추 생산에 있어 많은 피해를 주는 병중의 하나로서, Colletotrichum spp.에 의해 발생하며 현재 가장 많은 빈도를 나타내는 종은 C. acutatum으로 보고되고 있다. 살균제에 대한 내성이 있는 것으로 보고되어 저항성 품종의 육성이 요구되어지고 있다. 본 연구의 목적은 Capsicum baccatum 종내 교잡을 통해 고추 탄저병 저항성 육종을 위한 MAS(marker assisted selection) 체계를 개발하는 기초연구로서 저항성과 관련한 QTL분석을 수행하였다. 저항성 검정결과 고추 탄저병저항성은 85%의 높은 광의의 유전력을 보였다. 양적형질 유전자좌 분석 결과 신뢰수준 이상의 LOD 수준을 보인 2개의 QTL(An8.1, An9.1)이 탐색되었고, R²가 2.04%와 14.36%이었다. 유전적인 효과는 An8.1은 상가적 효과가 0.46으로, An9.1은 상가적 효과가 -4.52로 나타났다. An8.1과 An9.1은 상처접종에 의해 나타나는 저항성 반응과 관련이 있는 것으로 생각되었다. 포장검정(08NR)과 관련한 QTL들은 신뢰수준이상의 LOD 수준을 보이는 QTL은 탐색할 수 없었으나, R2가 19.9%인 An3.1와 30.8%인 An3.1을 포함한 5개 QTL의 전체 R²가 60.73%로 나타나 고추 탄저병저항성 유전과 관련한 인자가 다수 존재하는 것을 확인하였다. 따라서 이들 QTL은 더욱 정밀한 집단과 종간교잡 후대에서 적용성을 검정하여 고추 탄저병저항성 품종육성을 위한 MAS체계를 확립할 것이다. Pepper (Capsicum spp.) anthracnose caused by Colletotrichum acutatum is a destructive disease susceptible to areas where chili peppers are grown. Capsicum baccatum var. pendulum (Cbp) is resistant to anthracnose and has actively been used for interspecific hybridization for the introgression of resistance gene(s) into cultivated chili peppers. The goals of this study were to determine the inheritance of resistance to anthracnose within Capsicum baccatum and to map quantitative trait loci (QTLs) for the anthracnose resistance. A genetic mapping population consisting of 126 F₂ plants derived from a cross between Capsicum baccatum var. pendulum (resistant) and Capsicum baccatum ‘Golden-aji’ (susceptible) was used for linkage mapping. The linkage map was constructed with 52 SSRs, 175 AFLPs, and 100 SRAPs covering 1,896cM, with an average interval marker distance of 4.0cM. Based on this map, the number, location, and effect of QTLs for anthracnose resistance were studied using plants inoculated in the laboratory and field. A total of 19 quantitative trait loci (2 major QTLs and 16 minor QTLs) were detected. Two QTLs (An8.1, An9.1) showed 16.4% phenotypic variations for anthracnose resistance after wounding inoculation. In addition, five minor QTL loci (An7.3, An7.4, An4.1, An3.1, An3.2) showed a total of 60.73% phenotypic variations of anthracnose resistance in the field test. Several significant QTLs were also detected and their reproducibility was confirmed under different inoculation conditions. These QTLs are now being confirmed with different breeding populations. Markers tightly linked to the QTLs that are reliable under different environmental conditions will help to determine the success of marker-assisted selection for anthracnose -resistant breeding programs in chili pepper.

본 논문에서는 초고속 통신망을 통한 원격 한방 진료 시스템을 설계하고 구현하고자 한다. 기존의 한방 진료체계는 환자가 한방 병원을 방문하고 진료 및 치료를 받는 형태였으나, 본 논문에서는 초고속 통신망을 이용하여 원격지에 위치한 가정에서 한방 진료를 받을 수 있도록 설계 및 구현하였다. 본 원격 한방 진료 시스템은 크게 데이터베이스 서버와 한방 전문가 시스템, 원격지 환자 시스템 및 타 의료기관 시스템으로 구성된다. 본 시스템은 21세기 초고속 정보통신사회에서 환자 및 의사 이동에 따른 물류비용을 절약하고, 발전된 의료 네트웍을 이용하여 실시간의 고급 의료 서비스를 지원할 수 있는 기반 구조를 제공 할 수 있다.

As the AMR business expanded, It is necessary to understand the PLC characteristics of the site to build the entire AMI system. This paper deals with channel and noise characteristics in details from 2MHz to 30MHz based on the field tests over low voltage power line in Korea grid. And we analyze frequency which is measured by distance and consumer characteristics and suggest the direction of demonstration system for the AMI system. Finally we suggest that the coverage of power line communication is under 50m, and if the distance is over 50m, then it is necessary to use the repeater which amplifies the signal. And we found that noise characteristic is more related to the customer type rather than distance.
