Research on the probability model of basic wind speed estimation in China
Cheng Xiang,Airong Chen,Qiheng Li,Rujin Ma 한국풍공학회 2021 Wind and Structures, An International Journal (WAS Vol.32 No.6
Wind speed is one of the most critical parameters in predicting structural performance under wind effects. In most of the current standards and codes, the design reference wind speed is usually determined by fitting a typical probability distribution model based on the historical wind speed data. However, a single distribution model is generally insufficient to reflect the regional differences in wind characteristics. Therefore, in this research, the optimal probability is selected to determine the extreme wind speed in different regions in China based on the fourth-order linear moment method (FLMM). Firstly, several probability models for estimating extreme wind speed distribution are introduced. Then, the optimal model, as well as the relative parameters, are determined by the linear moments (L-moments) method, and the one with the minimum value of the fourth-order linear moment between the probability model and the sample is taken as the optimal distribution. Finally, the extreme wind speed of each meteorological station is estimated according to the obtained optimal distribution, and the results are compared with the recorded extreme wind speed of typical metrological stations as well as that in the previous version of specification (JTG/T D60-01-2004). Compared with the traditional method that adopting a single distribution model-based wind speed estimation, the extreme wind speed obtained by the proposed method possessed higher accuracy.
A Heuristic-Based Population Synthesis Method for Micro-Simulation in Transportation
Chengxiang Zhuge,Xia Li,Chia-An Ku,Jian Gao,Hui Zhang 대한토목학회 2017 KSCE Journal of Civil Engineering Vol.21 No.6
Population synthesis is extensively required by a number of micro-simulation models in transportation. A heuristic-based population synthesis method called Pop-H was proposed to overcome the following two limitations that received less attention. The first limitation is that one target marginal distribution can be well met by various sets of household weights that can be used to generate different sets of population and thus it is a problem that which set of household weights is the real one. Secondly, the population synthesis is commonly viewed as an optimization problem, and minimizing the Mean Absolute Percentage Error of control variables is generally used as the objective function. The Standard Deviation of control variables is also crucial in some cases, which, however receives scant attention. In response to these two limitations, the heuristic-based population synthesis method works in the following way: the Pop-H algorithm starts with the initial set of household weights derived from a sample data and calculates the final set of household weights by iteratively adjusting the initial set in a defined way with the objective function taking into account both Mean Absolute Percentage Error and Standard Deviation of control variables. Finally, the medium-sized city of Baoding, China was used as the case study. The sensitivity test was firstly done to examine four key parameters of the Pop-H algorithm, and then the algorithm was applied to create the population for the whole city.
Rediscovering Impacts of Collaboration through Workflow Analysis to Value Service Development
Chengxiang Ren,Yucong Duan,Zhangbing Zhou,Guohua Fu,Zhen Guo,Honghao Gao 보안공학연구지원센터 2016 International Journal of u- and e- Service, Scienc Vol.9 No.11
Information and service economies are developing rapidly in recent years with the development of information technology and new applications. Software and service development are becoming more and more complex relating to different participants, organizations and alliances. This phenomenon has caused urgent requirements on economic and technical fusion through coordination and collaboration among stakeholders. This paper addresses the gap between business layer and technical development in roles and activities. We then propose a combination of economic value and profits and technical service development processes. We also consider value exchange under profit sharing contracts in participants' workflows. A simulation and an experiment are performed to show related impacts.
PCR-Based Detection of Densovirus Infection in Silkworm (Bombyx mori L.)
Hou Chengxiang,Li Muwang,Gui Zhongzheng,Xu Anying,Guo Xijie Korean Society of Sericultural Science 2005 International Journal of Industrial Entomology Vol.11 No.2
Two pairs of DNA primers were designed for the detection of the Zhenjiang (China) strain of Bombyx mori densonucleosis virus (BmDNV-Z). These primers were designed from the nucleotide sequence of major structural protein gene (putative VD1-ORF2). PCR amplification was attempted from different issues (including silk gland, blood, skin and midgut) and feces of the silkworm which infected wit BmDNV-Z were amplified by PCR. Both of the primers gave expected size of in the DNA bands from midgut and feces, but not in the DNA of silk gland, blood and skin. The two bands were sequenced, and their sequence were same as the sequence designed for. BmDNV-Z could be successfully detected in single silkworm after it was infected for 12 hrs, and could not be detected before 9 hrs after infected.

The modification of pectin polysaccharide through grafting with polyacrylamide and crosslinking is newly proposed as a powerful candidate for a water-soluble binder of high-capacity Si anodes in lithium ion batteries. The grafting of pectin with polyacrylamide enhances adhesion in the electrode and contributes to the good wettability of the carbonate electrolyte. Herein, dual-crosslinking of pectin-g-polyacrylamide was achieved by the ionic crosslinking of pectin with divalent calcium ions and the chemical crosslinking of polyacrylamide with a bisacrylamide. As a result, the dual-crosslinked binder improves further the cycling performance of the Si/C composite anode with a 1.2mg cm2 loading, which retains a specific capacity of 729 mAh g1 after 300 cycles. In contrast, the Si/C electrode containing dual-crosslinked alginate with polyacrylamide shows a specific capacity of 515mAh g1 after 300 cycles.

There is an increasing trend of tunnel infrastructure construction in cold regions due to the advance of a western development strategy. To reduce the frost damage sustained by a tunnel, it is important to consider the mechanical properties of frost heave in the surrounding rock by analyzing the anisotropic frost heave of a cold-region tunnel. This paper elaborates on the behavior of anisotropic frost heave in the rock surrounding a cold-region tunnel, and the coefficient of displacement relief is adopted to indirectly quantify the influence of the tunnel construction process. The analytical elasto-plastic solutions of the stress and deformation in the surrounding rock are derived with Drucker-Prager criteria (hereinafter referred to as the D-P criteria) by modifying the constitutive equation for the frozen surrounding rock. Finally, an example is given to obtain the influence law of the distribution of stress and deformation in the surrounding rock. The results indicate that the plastic radius and frost force calculated by considering isotropic frost heave are greater than those obtained by considering anisotropic frost heave. The influence of the related parameters also analyzed. Some useful insights are provided for future numerical simulations and the design and construction of cold-region tunnels.
