Research on the Characteristic of Diesel Elastic-plate Impingement Spray
( Chang Yuan Wang ),( Yong Shang ),( Xiang Rong Li ),( Fu Shui Liu ),( Cheng Hui Yu ) 한국액체미립화학회 2010 한국액체미립화학회 학술강연회 논문집 Vol.2010 No.-
A series of experimental research results on the characteristic of diesel elastic-plate impingement spray using High Speed Photography camera are presented in this paper. The experiments were carried out in a constant volume chamber specially designed, which can hold a high ambiance pressure. The special fixed device was designed so that the elastic-plate can be fixed on the spray path, meanwhile the spray incident angle and height can be changed. The free jet spray and elastic-plate impingement spray was compared under the same experimental condition including different injection pressure and different background pressure. Experimental research showed that impingement spray droplets diffuse more quickly than free jet spray.
ENERGY TRANSDUCTION IN MOLECULAR MACHINES
CHENG-HUNG CHANG,TIAN YOW TSONG 성균관대학교(자연과학캠퍼스) 성균나노과학기술원 2007 NANO Vol.2 No.5
An applied force may cause the conformation and thus, the activity of a biological molecule to change. Here we consider a system in which an oscillating or fluctuating electric field is used to actuate membrane protein activities. Most proteins have electric dipoles and net charges in the structure and their conformations are susceptible to the electric and magnetic perturbation. The shape of a cell may also amplify an electric field across its plasma membrane. Therefore, a membrane integral protein such as an ion channel, an ion pump, or a molecular motor, is especially amenable to electric perturbation. The theory of electroconformational coupling addresses the functional implication of this field effect. When an alternating electric field or a fluctuating electric field is employed to actuate a two-state protein oscillator, the dynamics of the conformational change of the protein can be synchronized with the applied field. Through this two-state protein oscillator, we construct a four-state catalytic wheel by coupling an energy transducer mechanism to the two-state protein oscillator. Analysis shows that the catalytic wheel can extract energy from a disordered external energy source, be it electrical, mechanical, or chemical, and convert this stochastic energy source to a usable energy format. The catalytic wheel is tested with the experimental data on the electric field-stimulated cation pumping of Na, K-ATPase. A dipole ratchet model based on the electroconformational coupling concept will also be discussed and compared with the ATP-dependent rotation of a rotary motor F1-ATPase. Since the working principle of this model is simpler than that of F1-ATPase, it provides an easier way to realize a nanoscale rotary motor than artificially reconstructing a F1-ATPase.
A TQM case of Centralized Sequential Decision-making Problem
Chang, Cheng-Chang,Chu, Yun-Feng 한국품질경영학회 2003 The Asian Journal on Quality Vol.4 No.1
This paper considers that a public department under specialized TQM manpower constraints have to implement multiple total quality management (TQM) policies to promote its service performance (fundamental goal) by adopting a centralized sequential advancement strategy (CSAS). Under CSAS, the decision-makers (DMs) start off by focusing specialized TQM manpower on a single policy, then transfer the specialized TQM manpower to the next policy when the first policy reaches the predetermined implementation time limit (in terms of education and training). Suppose that each TQM policy has a different desirous education and training goal. When the desirous goals for all TQM policies are achieved, we say that the fundamental goal will be satisfied. Within the limitation of total implementation period of time for all policies, assume the desirous goals for all TQM policies cannot be achieved completely. Under this premise, the optimal implementation sequence for all TQM policies must be calculated to maximize the weighted achievement of the desirous goal. We call this optimization problem a TQM case of “centralized sequential decision-making problem(CSDMP)”. The achievement of the desirous goal for each TQM policy is usually affected by the experience in prior implemented policies, which makes solving CSDMP quite difficult. As a result, this paper introduces the concepts of sequential effectiveness and path effectiveness. The structural properties are then studied to propose theoretical methods for solving CSDMP. Finally, a numerical example is proposed to demonstrate CSDMP’s usability.
Study on Simulation Analysis of Reduce Speed Effect for Wind Nets in Front of Crop
( Cheng-chang Lien ),( Zhu-yun Yeh ),( Wei-ling Sun ),( Jeng-liang Lin ) 한국농업기계학회 2018 한국농업기계학회 학술발표논문집 Vol.23 No.1
Due to frequent strong winds from its geographical location in Taiwan, which caused serious damage to vegetables and fruit trees, leading to a large loss of agricultural production. Wind nets can be used to reduce the wind speed in front of fruits and vegetables in order to reduce the impact of wind speed. The purpose of this study is to use Computational Fluid Dynamics(CFD), CFD simulation Software was used to simulate wind tunnel experiments with wind nets before fruits and vegetables to understand the wind tunnel with different ventilation rates under certain wind speed 40 m/s, to simulate the change of wind speed and the distribution of flow field behind the wind nets, Analyze and analyze the change of wind field and the effect of reducing the wind. The size of the wind net was 12m*6m. According to the CFD simulation results, when the strong wind blows through the wind nets, a negative pressure zone will be generated at a horizontal distance of 0h to 10h in the windshield leeway, and the height of the negative pressure zone will gradually decrease as the horizontal distance increases. The height of the negative pressure zone also decreases with the increase of the ventilation rate of the windbreak. In addition, the analysis results show that the ventilation rate of 40% of the windbreak, the negative pressure vortex gradually disappear, and have the best effect of reducing the wind.

Changes of chlorophyll fluorescence and xanthophyll cycle pigment contents in maize leaves were investigated dunng desiccation in darkness or in the light. In darkness, a drastic dehydration of detached maize leaves down to 50% relative water content (RWC) affected photochemical efficiency of photosystem II (Fv/Fm) and pht)tochemical quenching (qP) only slightly. In contrast, desiccation in the light with a moderate intensity led to a pronounced reduction in Fv/Fm with a Fo quenching when RWC was greater than 70%. This reduction in Fv/Fm could be recovered in darkness under hutrod condition. In leaves with RWC below 70%, significant reduction in Fv/Fm was accompanied by an increase of Fo, which could not be reversed within 5 h in darkness under humid condition. The nonphotochemical quenching increased during desiccation in the light with a concomitant rise in zeaxanthin at the expense of violaxanthin. Pretreatment with dithiothreitol (DTT), an inhibitor of zeaxanthin synthesis, inhibited the development of nonphotochemical quenching and prevented the xanthophyll interconversion during desiccation in the light. These results suggest that even light with a moderate intensity becomes excessive under dehydration and zeaxanthin-associated photoprotection of photosynthetic apparatus against photodamage is involved, but the protection is not complete against severe desiccation.
Acute Hepatitis Due to Agomelatine Use in Elderly Women with Depression: Case Series
Cheng-Chen Chang,Yen-Jen Chen,Yu-An Chen,Yi-Cheng Liao 대한정신약물학회 2021 CLINICAL PSYCHOPHARMACOLOGY AND NEUROSCIENCE Vol.19 No.4
Although agomelatine may be associated with an increased risk of hepatotoxicity, the incidence rate of acute hepatitis seemed divergent between clinical trials and daily practice. Whether aging or gender is a risk factor in developing hepatotoxicity due to agomelatine is not clear. We present 3 older female cases with acute hepatitis occurring due to highly probable idiosyncratic drug-induced liver injury caused by agomelatine. From these cases, regular surveillance on liver function in the older women taking antidepressants would be of benefits.
