High purity emodin is in great demand with the development of medical treatment. Molecularly imprinted membranes (MIMs) have gained wide attention for selective separation of emodin due to its preferable selectivity. In this work, we describe a simple two-step method for developing emodin-imprinted TiO2@CA (ETMIMs) and emodin-imprinted SiO2@CA (ESMIMs) based on organic–inorganic nanoparticle (SiO2/TiO2) modified cellulose acetate membranes at room temperature. SiO2/TiO2 is used to improve the structural stability and roughness of membranes, and dopamine is used as the functional monomer and crosslinker. Importantly, the as-prepared membranes not only exhibited enhanced rebinding capacity (ETMIMs = 30.73 mg g -1 and ESMIMs = 46.04 mg g -1) but also possessed superior rebinding selectivity (2.76 and 2.99 for physcion and 2.42 and 3.30 for aloe emodin onto ETMIMs and ESMIMs) as well as permselectivity (7.59 and 6.69 for physcion and 5.94 and 5.78 for aloe emodin onto ETMIMs and ESMIMs). The regeneration ability of ETMIMs and ESMIMs still maintained 90.4% and 89.2% of the original rebinding capacity after 10 cycling steps, respectively. The ETMIMs and ESMIMs obtained in this work show potential applications for selective separation and purification of emodin from analogs.
Research on aquatic target image recognition based on convolutional neural networks
ChaoYu Lu,FengGuang Jia,Li Min Yu 국제이네비해양경제학회 2022 International Journal of e-Navigation and Maritime Vol.19 No.1
Image recognition is not very effective in the water environment due to multiple factors, such as high scattering and high scattering in the water column. This is why the relevant parameters in the Faster R-CNN network model need to adjust continuously to improve the effectiveness of water detection. The control variable method adjusts the program's learning rate by tuning the network model's parameters. Then, the number of training rounds is adjusted according to the loss function of each round, and finally, we can get the number of matches with the minimum loss function. Based on the experimental results on the dataset, it is shown that the proposed method not only selects the learning rate with the best detection results but also has the strongest robustness and achieves a 96%-99% recognition rate for passenger ships, cargo ships, warships, and bridges compared with other learning rates. Experiments show that the Faster R-CNN network model detects water targets with significant results, and the best network model learning rate parameter is 6×10-3.
Detection of Rare Mutations in EGFR-ARMS-PCR-Negative Lung Adenocarcinoma by Sanger Sequencing
Chaoyue Liang,Zhuolin Wu,Xiaohong Gan,Yuanbin Liu,You You,Chenxian Liu,Chengzhi Zhou,Ying Liang,Haiyun Mo,Allen M. Chen,Jiexia Zhang 연세대학교의과대학 2018 Yonsei medical journal Vol.59 No.1
Purpose: This study aimed to identify potential epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) gene mutations in non-small cell lung cancer that went undetected by amplification refractory mutation system-Scorpion real-time PCR (ARMS-PCR). Materials and Methods: A total of 200 specimens were obtained from the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou Medical University from August 2014 to August 2015. In total, 100 ARMS-negative and 100 ARMS-positive specimens were evaluated for EGFR gene mutations by Sanger sequencing. The methodology and sensitivity of each method and the outcomes of EGFR-tyrosine kinase inhibitor (TKI) therapy were analyzed. Results: Among the 100 ARMS-PCR-positive samples, 90 were positive by Sanger sequencing, while 10 cases were considered negative, because the mutation abundance was less than 10%. Among the 100 negative cases, three were positive for a rare EGFR mutation by Sanger sequencing. In the curative effect analysis of EGFR-TKIs, the progression-free survival (PFS) analysis based on ARMS and Sanger sequencing results showed no difference. However, the PFS of patients with a high abundance of EGFR mutationwas 12.4 months [95% confidence interval (CI), 11.6−12.4 months], which was significantly higher than that of patients with a low abundance of mutations detected by Sanger sequencing (95% CI, 10.7−11.3 months) (p<0.001). Conclusion: The ARMS method demonstrated higher sensitivity than Sanger sequencing, but was prone to missing mutations due to primer design. Sanger sequencing was able to detect rare EGFR mutations and deemed applicable for confirming EGFR status. A clinical trial evaluating the efficacy of EGFR-TKIs in patients with rare EGFR mutations is needed.

<P>Variations of the lattice parameter can significantly change the properties of a material, and, in particular, its electronic behaviour. In the case of graphene, however, variations of the lattice constant with respect to graphite have been limited to less than 2.5% due to its well-established high in-plane stiffness. Here, through systematic electronic and lattice structure studies, we report regions where the lattice constant of graphene monolayers grown on copper by chemical vapour deposition increases up to similar to 7.5% of its relaxed value. Density functional theory calculations confirm that this expanded phase is energetically metastable and driven by the enhanced interaction between the substrate and the graphene adlayer. We also prove that this phase possesses distinctive chemical and electronic properties. The inherent phase complexity of graphene grown on copper foils revealed in this study may inspire the investigation of possible metastable phases in other seemingly simple heterostructure systems.</P>
Sardinian dietary analysis for longevity: a review of the literature
WANG CHAOYUE,Murgia Marco A.,Baptista José,Marcone Massimo F. 한국식품연구원 2022 Journal of Ethnic Foods Vol.9 No.-
Sardinia is one of the five Longevity Blue Zones (LBZs) in the world. Compared to other LBZs, the percentage of male centenarians in Sardinia is much higher. Due to the island’s isolation, the genetic traits of Sardinian people have shown that they are direct descendants of their Nuragic ancestors from the Neolithic era. To survive during times of food scarcity, many “famine foods” are created; acorn bread containing clay, cheese ripened in goat abomasum, and soft cheese with worms are examples of these uncommon foods. Although considered food taboo by the outside world, they are cherished as cultural heritage and local delicacy. Studies have shown that Sardinian longevity is closely related to their special famine foods. They are not only nutritious; the production of these foods resulted in low stress and increased lifespan. Moreover, local food production practices have resulted in a strong cultural bond and helped the Sardinian people to survive cultural erosion from industrialization and modernization.
Exploring Determinants of Outdoor Shoes Purchase
김대환,Chaoyu Yin,김대희 한국체육학회 2022 International journal of human movement science Vol.16 No.2
The purpose of the present study was to determine the factors influencing the purchase of outdoor footwear using Importance-Performance Analysis (IPA). For the purposes of this study, we focused on Busan residents of the MZ generation who have previously purchased outdoor activity footwear. Based on a convenience sampling method, a survey developed using Qualtrics Survey software was distributed to 630 participants, and 600 cases were included in the final analysis. In the first quadrant, the brand and function factors were more prominent than other factors, whereas customer service was more prominent in the second quadrant. Additionally, the promotion and design factors were more prominent in the third quadrant than other factors, whereas price and function were more prominent in the fourth quadrant. The current study provides meaningful insight into which outdoor shoe attributes play a significant role in the purchasing decisions of MZ generation consumers, thereby assisting sports marketers in developing effective and efficient product strategies to compete in the outdoor shoe market.
