        This study intends to explain the aspects and situation of social welfare in factory which is classified to ordinary factory, prized factory and non-prized factory, through the Factory Saemaul Undong by the method of questionaire. As in well known, the history of Saemaul Undong is not long, so there are many problems in its process. Furthermore the concept of factory Saemaul Undong is not defined clearly, and it is to be developed by diverse study within near future. Factory Saemaul Undong is an operation base of urban Saemaul Undong, and it must be developed to fit factory's character and skill. The genuine object of Saemaul Undong is a better-life movement which came from emplyer-employee's cooperative spirit, environment improvement, strengthening employee's social well-being, productivity elevating, reduction of cost price, and neighbor-helping movement. From the viewpoint of social welfare aspects, the conclusions of this study are as follows: First, there are supplementary relations between factory Saemaul Undong and social welfare, and the weight of social welfare in factory Saemaul Undong is 25%, but the real situations of that are generally not sufficient. So it is urgently needed to promote the level of poor sides. Second, there are two aspects of social welfare in Factory Saemaul Undong. The first one is establishmental aspect, which includes domitories, apartments and company houses, dining room, resting room, library, stall, bath room, washing room, medical treatment facilities, physical exercise and amusement facilities. The another is systematic aspect, which includes payment system, bonus system, saving system, vacation system, special night time class system, research aid funding system, factory bus system, medical insurance system, retirement allowance system, employees' stock-buying system. But some aspects of the above-mentioned are too formal, so it is necessary to make those aspects internalized and subtantialized with mutual understanding between employers and employees. Third, the level of prized factories is very high from the viewpoint of social welfare compared with general factories and non-prized factories. But the high level is caused by the conclusion that prized factories are generally large companies which have necessarily all those aspects. Ordinary and non-prized factories' levels are showing just similarly. Fourth, the insufficiency of social welfare situations in Factory Saemaul Undong is due to the poor law system, the lack of understanding and concern of the employers, their conomic burden, and the company's characteristic geographical circumstances. The way of solving those problems is to activate factory Saemaul Undong by means of supplementing the Labour Standard Law, strengthening employers' Saemaul education, making factory environment sound, and promoting interrelation between factories. Fifth, factory Saemauel Undong is a method and a process to promote social welfare in factory, therefore the expansion of social welfare devotes to activating Factory Saemauel Undong.

        The Ameliorative Effects of Korean Bean‐Leaves on Inflammation and Liver Injury in Obese Rat Model

        Obesity may cause metabolic syndrome and adult diseases. This study was undertaken to investigate the ameliorative or useful effects of beanleaves on inflammation and liver damage in obese rat models. Rats were divided into three groups: a control group (normal diet, n=6), a fat diet group (45%?fat diet, n=7), and a bean leaf group (45%?fat+Korean bean leaves diet, n=7). Body weights in the bean leaf group were lower than those of the fat group (P<0.05). Serum tumor necrosis factor?α (TNF?α) and prostaglandin E₂ (PGE₂) concentrations were lower in both the control and bean leaf groups than in the fat group (P<0.001). TNF?α concentrations in the bean leaf group were slightly higher than in the control group but statistically significant (P<0.05). The bean leaf group histologically exhibited lower fatty degeneration, spotty necrosis, and leukocyte infiltrations in hepatic tissues than those of the fat group. In the homogenized liver tissues, the cyclooxygenase?2 (COX?2) gene was only expressed in the fat group. The gene expression levels of hepatic TNF?α, inducible nitric?oxide synthase, peroxiome proliferator?activated receptor?α (PPAR?α), poly (ADP?ribose) polymerase (PARP), and transforming growth factor?β1 (TGF?β1) were weaker in the bean leaf group than in the fat group. These results suggest that adding bean?leaves to the diet may ameliorate obesity?induced systemic inflammation and liver damage and that bean leaves may be a useful food for preventing obesity and thereby metabolic syndrome and adult diseases

        Operational Characteristics of the FCL Using the Mechanical Contact in the Power System

        These days, SFCLs are being developed in order to limit fault current. However, the superconducting elements that limit the fault current have such problems as capacity increase and require auxiliary devices including cooling device. If devices that comprise the current power network can withstand fault current for at least one cycle, it is possible to limit the fault current with current limiting elements by bypassing it on the fault line. In this study, the fault current limiter was configured with current transformer, vacuum interrupter, and current limiting element. Through the experience, it was confirmed that the fault current was limited within one cycle. The superconducting element, as a current limiting element, limited the fault current by 80 % within one cycle from fault occurrence, and the passive element limited it more than 95 %. Also, through the comparison between resistance curve and power consumption curve, it was confirmed that the current limiting element using a passive element was more stable than the superconducting element that required capacity increase and other auxiliary devices. It was considered that the FCL proposed in this study could limit fault current stably within one cycle from fault occurrence by using the existing power technologies such as fault current detection and solenoid valve operating circuit.

      • 퇴비 및 액비 시용에 따른 수수×수단그라스와 이탈리안라이그라스 작부체계의 수량과 양분흡수량 및 토양 유효 질소 및 인 변화

        This study was conducted to investigate productivity and nutrients uptake of Sorghum×Sudan grass (SSG) and Italian ryegrass (IRG) cropping system with cattle manure compost and liquid pig manure application, respectively. Changes in mineral N and available P concentration before and after each cropping were also examined. Dry matter yield ranged from 2.12 to 2.86 ton ha-1 for SSG and from 3.57 to 6.08 ton ha-1 for IRG. Forage productivity observed in this study was substantially lower than other studies probably due both to low precipitation during cropping season and to soil characteristics; lower pH (<5) and available P concentration (ranged from 98.6 to 174.8) than the soils used in the previous studies. The uptake of N and P also showed very similar pattern to dry matter yield; IRG had higher nutrients uptake than SSG. According to nutrient balance analysis, 76.4% of N and 76.9% of P2O5 applied to the fields (161 kg N ha-1 and 265 kg P2O5 ha-1) were not assimilated by SSG. For IRG, 50.2% (133 kg N ha-1) of N applied (265 kg N ha-1) was not taken up; meanwhile, the amount of P2O5 assimilated by IRG was 75 kg P2O5 ha-1, and this was 49 kg P2O5 ha-1 more than that of applied P2O5 (26 kg P2O5 ha-1) as liquid manure, indicating additional P uptake from the soils. Accordingly, mineral N (NH4 + and NO3 -) and available P concentrations of the soils increased after SSG harvest as compared with the soils before cultivation, but they decreased after IRG cultivation. Such differences in nutrient uptake by plant and soil nutrient availability could be attributed to the contrasting availability of nutrients in the compost and liquid manure. Organic forms of nutrients included in the compost is likely to be released slowly by decomposition of organic matter and thus the nutrients released could be utilized by the next crop (IRG) rather than by the crop (SSG) to which compost was applied. On the other hand, as most nutrients in liquid manure is readily available, N and P in the liquid manure could be assimilated by IRG. Therefore, it might be necessary to consider both compost (slowly available) and liquid manure (rapidly available) to achieve a goal production of forage.

        The present experiments were designed to investigate the effects of Ondamtang water extract(Ondamtang) on the blood circulation, bile acid secretion and mental tension in normal and hyperlipidemia induced rabbits. In order to control the precise chemical and physical conditions, the experimental rabbits were supplied with calorie limited food, and the hyperlipidemia rabbits were induced by oral administration of cholesterol(500㎎/㎏) for 3 weeks. The results obtained were summerized as follows: 1. Ondamtang increased the bile secretion and serum bile acid level in rabbits. 2. Bile solution decreased the blood pressure after injection through the ear vien in rabbits. 3. The blood pressure was decreased after injecting Ondamtang through the ear vein. And it was also decreased after oral administration of Ondamtang for 5 days. 4. The decrease of blood pressure was not dependant on the autonomic nervous system. 5. Ondamtang activated the Mg^2+ -Ca^2+ -ATPase activity of cardiac indoplasmic reticulum, and thus inhibited the cardiac muscle contraction. 6. Ondamtang stimulated the dilatation of the peripheral blood vessel. 7. Ondamtang decreased the serum creatinine level by stimulating the renal filtration and thus it increased the kidney function in hypelipidemia rabbits. 8. Ondamtang decreased the arteriosclerosis index by effecting the metabolism of cholesterol and lipid in hypdrlipidemia induced rabbits. 9. Ondamtang inhibited the Na^+ -K^+ -ATPase activity of the cerebral cortex, and decreased the sensitivity of the electrical shock. According to the above results, Ondamtang improved blood circulation by dilatation the capillary lumen and decreasing in blood viscosity, promoted bile acid secretion, inhibited the nerve transmission, and relieved the mental tension.
