After treating a patient suffering from hepatitis A, a significant result is gained as follows. This study was done from the patient who were at the Oriental Medicine Hospital of Daejeon University during 20 days, from 5. 22 to 6. 9, 2001. A 26-year-old patient had complained an general body jaundice, fatigue, nausea, dizziness and general body weakness. During the hospital periods, the kinds of therapy are acupuncture and Herbal Medication. Given the treatment, he felt so satisfied about his symptom's improvement, and the numerical value of a laboratory examination was improved.

Social studies, with a short history compared with other subjects. gave its birth under specific circumstances and situation in the United States of America. The developmental process of social studies reveals that the national educational policy towards the democratization of American people has become the backbone of Social Studies. The aim of social studies is to educate those to meet the reqirements of the society, therefore the development of social studies should not only be made the study of the textbook, but by the keen sense of characteristics and tendencies of society. On considering that the social philosophical conception of the national system, particularly the revitalizational structure of the nation should be the basis of social studies, this article attempts to survey the guiding principles of society and then to indicate the direction of social studies by asserting that, under the basis of this social philosophy, the aim of social studies should be set and interpreted along with the provision of contents and methods of its teaching. The components of our social philosophy, in short, are internationally, the everlasting peace; economically, the economical growth for social welfare; politically, the stabilization of democracy proper to Korean situation; socially, the maintenance of social order by clearing all irregurarities and the creation of revitalized culture based on selfreliance and, educationally, the nationality education founded on national tradition and heritage. Through education we must bring out a mental revolution so as to formulate a revitalized personality of which the emphasis is mutual body and it is the responsibility and duty of the renovated social studies to implement the mission.

The free and democratic constitution clearly states the fundamental human right in its main part. Especially the freedom of expression whose backbone is the freedom of speech and publication is considered most important. But the freedom of expression can't favor its exitence when it infringes other social values. There are certain limitations in the freedom of speech should be limited by the laws which are to be enacted only when there are an obious necessity of their enactment for the maintenence of public order, welfare and national security. In this thesis the conception of the freedom of speech is taken not as that of a natural law, but as of a substantial law. Accordingly it is studied in relation with judicial precedents of the United States on the occasion of the conflicts between the freedom of speech and other legal interests. Either the Alien Act or the Sedition Act bans the freedom of speech when the national security is impaired by the distructive or extreme expression. The rules of clear and present danger, dangerous tendency, suficient danger, clear and prbable danger limit the freedom of speech. The excess freedom of speech which leads to obsene, lascivious or filthy is defined as obscenity which is prohibited by most of the states because it infleunce a against the social moral/ When the freedom of speech affects an individual's reputation it is to be asked for civil and penal responsibility, and the exemption from responsibility is favored only when the privilege of fair comment is admitted. In general the freedom fo speech should respect the right of privacy. The freedom of speech should be practiced to the utmost under the protection of government. But it is managed successfully when it is exercised in harmony with legal orders, national security, social moral and individual interests.

Clinical studies were carried out 62 cases of patients with lung cancer treated by Hangamdan(抗癌丹) from January 1th 1998 to September 30th 2000. The results were summarized as follows; 1. Distribution of those attached by lung cancer, by sex, showd that Male is more then Female, by age, showed that the number of sixties is majority. 2. Distribution of diagnostic stage, in descending order; stage Ⅳ(43.6%,top), stage Ⅲ(35.5%), stage Ⅱ(17.7%), stage Ⅰ(3.2%). 3. The effects of maintenance and improvement in the symptoms with traditional oriental therapy(83.3%) and combined treatment of western and oriental therapy(84.0%) were observed. The effects of the symptoms were as follows; cough(50.0%), anorexia(48.4%), chest discomfort(31.0%), sputum(24.2%), general body weakness(11.3%), hemoptysis(9.7%) and etc. in orders. 4. Analysis of hematology attached by lung cancer, maintenance and increasing of WBC(98.4%), RBC(74.2%), Hgb(71.0%), Platelet(96.7%) were observed. After taken Hangamdan, the safety of the liver and kidney were as follows; maintenance and decreasing of AST(91.5%), ALT(93.2%), γ-GTP(95.0%), BUN(82.7%), Creatinine(93.3%) were observed. 5. Analysis of IL-12 and IFN-γ attached by lung cancer, increasing of IL-12(31.3%), IFN-γ(72.7%) were observed. 6. Analysis of QOL attached by lung cancer, maintenance and improvement of combined treatment of western and oriental therapy(94.0%), traditional oriental therapy(91.7%) were observed. 7. Analysis of survival in patients with Ⅳ stage of lung cancer, above 7 months(22.2%), 12 months(70.4%). 8. Analysis of antitumor effects, maintenance of traditional oriental therapy(50.0%) and maintenance and improvement of combined treatment of western and oriental therapy(80.0%) were observed. 9. Analysis of curative valuation, maintenance and improvement of traditional oriental therapy(50.0%), combined treatment of western and oriental therapy(60.0%) were observed. From the above resutls, it is suggested that Hangamdan has significant effects of antitumor and immune activity, also could be usefully applied for lung cancer patients by combinatin with western therapy or alone.
