        An electronic circuit board was simulated by protrusions, which was heated by thin stainless foil attached on the surface, in a vertical channel. Natural and forced convection experiments were carried out in order to investigate the effects of channel spacing, gap between protrusions and number of rows of protrusion. In natural convection, the optimum channel spacing was found to be approximately 30mm regardless of the protrusion gap. For optimum channel spacing the heat transfer coefficients were converged to an asymptotic value after fourth row. The heat transfer coefficient for each row approaches to constant values for protrusion gaps larger than 10 mm. An experimental correlation has been suggested by using a modified Rayleigh number, based on the dimensionless characteristic length(G/L). In forced convection, the heat transfer coefficients were not merged to an asymptote until the fifth row and increased as channel spacing at the constant Reynolds number decreases.

        This thesis studied the behavior of tunnels according to the change in the excavation distance during the additional construction of NATM tunnels. The Finite Difference Method was employed to analyze the crown settlement, the horizontal convergence, and the axial force of rock bolts, extending the distance between the tunnels up to five times as long as the diameter of tunnel. It turned out that the crown settlement, the horizontal convergence, and the axial force of rock bolts became decrease as the distance between the tunnels became farther, and that they converged when the distance between the tunnels was over 3D.

      • 개별환경제어(PEM)시스템의 운용에 따른 건물의 에너지절약성에 관한 연구

        The building energy conservation possibility by introducing personal environment module(PEM)system was analyzed by DOE-2.1E building energy analysis program on the 6 stories office building. The results showed energy consumption of the building with PEM system could be increased more than the conventional VAV system when the occupant was not decreased. But the energy consumption rate in the building with PEM could be equal to VAV system when approximately 20% of the occupant is decreased. As a result, basically PEM system can consume more about 9.2%energy than the VAV system, but it can also have the possibility to save energy about 11.4% if it is operating with energy conservative way.

      • 구리·아연과 비교한 보리 엽록체의 광합성 기구에 미치는 수은 이온의 특이한 효과

        To find heavy metal-specific effects on the photosynthetic apparatus of higher plants, we investigated effects of CuCl₂, HgCl₂and ZnCl₂on electron transport activity and chlorophyll fluorescence induction kinetics of chloroplasts isolated from barley seedlings. Effects on some related processes such as germination, growth and photosynthetic pigments of the test plants were also studied. Germination and growth rate were inhibited in a concentration-dependent manner by these metals. Mercury was shown to be the most potent inhibitor of germination, growth and biosynthesis of photosynthetic pigments of barley plants. In the inhibition of electron transport activity, quantum yield of PSⅡ, and chlorophyll fluorescence induction kinetics of chloroplasts isolated from barley seedlings, mercury chloride showed more pronounced effects than other tow metals. Contrary to the effects of other two metals, mercury chloride increased variable fluorescence significantly and abolished qE in the fluorescence induction kinetics from broken chloroplasts of barley seedlings. This increase in variable fluorescence is due to the inhibition of the electron transport chain after PSⅡ and the following dark reactions. The inhibition of qE could be attributed to the interruption of pH formation and de-epoxidation of violaxathin to zeaxanthin in thylakoids by mercury. This unique effect of mercury on chlorophyll fluorescence induction pattern could be used as a good indicator for testing the presence and/or the concentration of mercury in the samples contaminated with heavy metals.

        As the use of hot water in multifamily housing in Korea increases, it is desirable to apply solar hot water(SHW) system into apartments to save energy used for hot water. The study aims to evaluate the energy saving sffect of the solar hot water collectors in multifamily housing. First, the energy costs for hot water in selected 31 pyung apartment were surveyed. Actual SHW system were installed and then the their performance in terms of water temperature and flow rate was monitored. Form the survey and the experiment it found that the use of the solar hot water system applied in the apartments contributes to the enegy saving ofabout over 10%

      • 단독주택의 용도별 에너지 소비에 관한 연구

        The purpose of this study is to analyze the situation of energy consumption and its characteristics in detached houses. The survey is carried out in detached houses to investigate the energy consumption and energy use trend in according to three different climate zones. Building energy simulation by DOE-2 computer program was undertaken for detailed analysis of the energy use characteristic in detached houses. Also, The room temperature and the energy use of the year were also calculated. Finally, The energy consumption characteristics of heating, cooling, cooking and electric equipments in detached houses depends on life style of resident such as room temperature, occupancy type and equipment operating schedule and etc. And also, the results of this study will be to provide basic data concerned with total energy consumption in detached houses.

      • 태양열 온수급탕 시스템에 관한 연구 : 아파트를 중심으로 With relevance to Apartment

        This work was carried out to propose a model of the most effective layout and installation for applying the Solar Hot Water system to apartment and to offer the basic data for promoting the destribution of this Solar Hot Water system in the country. For this purpose, the performed experiments are as followings: 1)Measurement and analysis of the amount of hot water adn the cost of water used in apartment of which the area is 30 to 40 pyung. 2)to esimate the efficiency of Solar Hot Water System in accordance with an angle of inclination. 3) Analysis of economical efficiency the annual expected saving cost produced by replacing the existing hot water system with the Solar Hot Water System. 4)Proposal of the best model for installing the Solar Hot Water System in apartment by considering the place and sunshine,and compaison of merit and demerit of this system.
