In this paper, we investigate how institutional identity relations and the selection of learning objects can be interactionally conceived in an additional language classroom oriented to language use as social action (Clark, 1996). Informed by Ethnomethodological Conversation Analysis and Interactional Sociolinguistics, we analyse an eight-minute sequence of interaction featuring participants engaged in the accomplishment of a Portuguese-as-an-additional-language classroom activity, namely a seminar on Brazilian music, in which each student was supposed to lecture on a different musical style. In order to co-construct learning, participants orient to various identities and understandings that are built and negotiated in the course of interaction, configuring different participant frameworks. The analyses show (1) the rearrangement of the lecturer’s speech through the construction of new concepts in interaction (emergent products), and (2) the participants’ efforts to sustain the seminar frame, through the negotiation of conflicting identities of lecturer/audience, teacher/student and Brazilian national/foreigner to Brazil. This paper evidences that, more than requiring the use of the additional language, pedagogical activities such as the one analysed are opportunities for the participants to negotiate identities and modes of participation, define relevant learning objects in the course of interaction, and locally deal with the unexpected.
Influence of Filament Diameter on Superconducting Properties of MgB2 Multi-core Wires

Magnetic behaviour of a series of MgB2 wires, in each case with 19 filaments of superconductor, surrounded by Ti as barrier and reinforced by stainless steel, prepared in the same way but mechanicallydeformed to different filament diameters Φ between 58.5 and 17.7 µm, was investigated. Whereas no influence of Φ on superconducting transition temperature is found, the width of thetransition increases with Φ. Critical current density, irreversibility line and mean effective activationenergy U decrease systematically with decreasing Φ. From a comparison of the field dependence ofthe pinning force and the temperature dependence of U, it is concluded, that pinning is dominatedat low fields by grain boundary pinning and at higher fields by point defect pinning, with a ratherbroad distribution of pinning energies.

The aim of this study was to determine genotypes of four genetic markers and to investigate their association with milk production traits in Brown Swiss cattle imported to Slovakia. The bovine $\kappa$-casein, $\beta$-lactoglobulin, growth hormone and prolactin genotypes of 107 cows were identified by polymerase chain reaction. Effects all four genetic markers on milk, fat, protein and lactose yields and fat, protein and lactose percentage were estimated from a data set of 249 lactations. The frequency of desirable B allele of $\kappa$-casein gene to milk production was 0.46, alleles A of $\beta$-lactoglobulin gene was 0.55, allele and L of growth hormone gene was 0.45 and allele A and B of bovine prolactin gene were 0.61 and 0.39. The results of milk production obtained in our work showed that BB genotypes of $\kappa$-CN gene, AA genotypes of $\beta$-LG gene, LL genotypes of bGH gene were significantly associated with better milk production traits, mainly about the fat content. Association of a bovine prolactin genotypes with milk production were not found.
