A novel calcium-dependent protein kinase gene (designated as IiCPK2) was cloned from tetraploid Isatis indigotica. The full-length cDNA of IiCPK2 was 2585 bp long with an open reading frame (ORF) of 1878 bp encoding a polypeptide of 625 amino acid residues. The predicted IiCPK2 polypeptide included three domains: a kinase domain, a junction domain (or autoinhibitory region), and a C-terminal calmodulin-like domain (or calcium-binding domain), which presented a typical structure of plant CDPKs. Further analysis of IiCPK2 genomic DNA revealed that it contained 7 exons, 6 introns and the length of most exons was highly conserved. Semi-quantitative RT-PCR revealed that the expression of IiCPK2 in root, stem and leaf were much higher in tetraploid sample than that in diploid progenitor. Further expression analysis revealed that gibberellin ($GA_3$), NaCl and cold treatments could up-regulate the IiCPK2 transcription. All our findings suggest that IiCPK2 might participate in the cold, high salinity and GA3 responsive pathways.
The Fluorescence Behavior Studies and Applications of Two D-π-A Type Imidazolium Analogs

The fluorescence behaviors and applications of two water-soluble imidazolium analogs TPI-1 and TPI-2 with D-π-A structures have been studied. Compound TPI-1 possessed the aggregation-induced emission (AIE) effect, but TPI-2 not. Moreover, compound TPI-1 could serve as a fluorescence turn-on probe for detecting uridine-5'-triphosphate (UTP) in living cells by AIE mechanism, while TPI-2 was able to penetrate into the cell membranes and light up the living cells.
Lung Sounds Signal Separation Model of Medical Monitoring Based on Wireless Sensor Network

According to the present medical monitoring system still exist the problems such as low accuracy of the condition judgment and the less range of data transmission, a kind of lung sounds signal separation model of medical monitoring is put forward based on wireless sensor network. First, using the optimization strategy of the flying speed and the effect between particles to two-way optimization for particle swarm optimization algorithm (PSOA), and then applied it to the blind source separation of lung sounds signal, in order to improve the precision of the blind source separation of lung sound signals, then carried on the optimization of artificial fish behavior through tabu search, did coverage optimization for wireless sensor network by using the improved algorithm, to expand the scope of wireless data transmission. As the simulation experiments results showed that, the proposed lung sounds signal separation model of medical monitoring based on wireless sensor network had good accuracy and large range of data transmission, and deserved to be popularized and used.
Exploring the Cultural Content in Chinese ELT Textbooks from Intercultural Perspectives

In EFL contexts like mainland China, many researchers made efforts to investigate the cultural content of Chinese government-authorized textbooks used in both public secondary schools and universities. However, few people pay attention to textbooks used in cram schools. This study aims to explore the cultural content in New Concept English (NCE), an extensively used textbook in Chinese cram schools for nearly 30 years. Meanwhile, it attempts to analyze its strengths and weaknesses of the cultural content from intercultural perspectives. Adopting content analysis under the guidance of two coding schemes, the results reveal that general culture (68%) has the largest percentage while source culture (2%) is significantly ignored in stark contrast to target culture (46%). Based on the findings, the prominent strength lies in the great deal of general culture (68%), which helps student understand culture from an etic view and makes them realize the cultural differences for cross-cultural comparison. The two weaknesses are the severely neglected source culture (2%) compared to target culture (46%) and the unbalanced distribution in international cultures. Findings of this study intend to raise teachers’ awareness of the intercultural teaching and learning in cram schools.
A Study on the Applicability of the Memory-Based Reasoning Classifier

In recent year, many methods suitable for classification problems have been extended to include a range of popular techniques, such as neural networks, logistic regression and decision tree induction. Unlike other data mining techniques that use a training set of preclassified data to create a model and then discard the training set, for MBR (memory- based reasoning), the training set essentially is the model. This study gives a way on the memory-based reasoning, decision tree, logistic regression, neural networks and bagging model comparison methods for home equity lines of credit data using 1:1, 1:2, 1:3 and 1:4 target rate datamarts. Through the reasoning underlying their development, MBR classifier can also be a good choice to make a prediction. The proper k for MBR classifier is selected based on the minimum misclassification rate criterion. Under the proper k, we found that the performance of MBR dominated other classification technique for the data set that we analyzed.
