        This paper was carried out to analyze the variation of composition of seed oil with storage periods. Difference of content of crude fat in fresh-cut seed and one year storage seed is not detected but in pentadecanoic acid, acid value, iodine value and peroxide value in one year storage seed have lower than those of the fresh-cut seed. Linoleic acid and oleic acid were high among of total fatty acid in fresh-cut seed but moiety of linolenic acid and icosanoic acid was low otherwise that of palmitic acid and oleic acid is increased in one year storge. In neutral lipid, capric and mytistic acid were high in fresh-cut, oleic acid, palmitic acid and linoleic acid were increased after one year storge. In glycolipid, the lauric acid and linoleic acid were high in fresh-cut seed, the palmitic acid was increased, otherwise, linolenic acid was decreased after one year storge. In phospholipid, palmitic acid and unknown part were high in fresh-cut seed, palmitic acid, oleic acid and linolenic acid were increased after one year storge.

        Ocjective : Sabaeksan has been used for the purpose of prevention and treatment of bronchial asthma and allergic asthma in korea. Methods : To investigate the biological effect of Sabaeksan, the author examined cytotoxicity and inflammatory cytokines secretion with human leukemic mast cell line, HMC-1. HMC-1 was stimulated with phorbol 12-myristate 13-acetate (PMA) and calcium ionophore A23187. Sabaeksan by itself had no effect on viability of HMC-1. Result : The effects of Sabaeksan on the secretion of tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-α) and interleukin (IL)-6 from HMC-1 were evaluated with enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. Sabaeksan (1 mg/㎖) inhibited PMA plus A23187-stimulated TNF-α and IL-6 secretion, by 43.86 ± 5.26%, 56.39 ± 3.65%, respectively. Sabaeksan also inhibited the NF-κB (p50/p65) expression. Conclusion : Taken together, these results suggest that Sabaeksan inhibit the production of inflammatory cytokines in HMC-1 cells through blockade of NF-κB activation.

        In the most cases we analyze a single time series without explicitly using information contained in the related time series In many forecasting situations, other events will systematically influence the series to be forecasted(the dependent variables), and therefore, there is need to go beyond a univariate forecasting model. Thus, we must build a forecasting model that incorporates more than one time series and introduces explicitly the dynamic characteristics of the system. Such a model in called a multiple time series model or transfer function model. The purpose of this study is to develop the stochastic stream water quality model of Puyea station in Keum river system. The performance of the multiplicative ARIMA model and the multiple input-single output transfer function model were examined through comparisons between the historical and generated monthly dissolved oxygen series. The result reveal that the multiple input-single output model lead to teh improved accuracy.

        러시아 아무르주의 한인사회와 정교회 선교활동(1872~1916) : 블라고슬로벤노예(Благословенное) 마을을 중심으로

        러시아 세속당국과 정교회 지도부는 정교신앙과 학교교육을 통해서 아무르주 블라고슬로벤노예 마을(사만리) 한인들의 러시아화를 유도해내고자 했다. 한인교육의 성장 원동력은 세속당국 및 정교회 선교부의 적절한 활동과 교구교육을 받은 젊은 한인세대의 협조 속 에서 찾아볼 수가 있다. 또한 블라디보스톡 주교구 설립(1899), 그리고 그해 설립된 동방대학과 포드스타빈(G.V. Podstavin)의 한국학 연구도 한인의 기독교화 및 러시아화에 적지 않은 영향을 미쳤다. 하지만 세속당국과 정교회의 블라고슬로벤노예 마을 한인의 기독교화 및 러시아화 정책은 가시적인 성과들에도 불구하고 본질적인 문제와 한계 속에서 수행되었음을 엿볼 수 있다. 우선은 20세기에 들어서까지 이어진 한인의 고립적인 조선식 생활방식의 유지를 들 수 있다. 또 하나는 정교신앙을 통한 한인들의 삶이 여전히 비기독교적인 상황에 머물러 있었다는 점이다. 그 외에도 한인들의 러시아화가 낮은 수준에 있었다는 점과 마지막으로 한인들의 행정적인 자치권한도 한인들의 기독교화 및 러시아화의 진행을 더디게 만들었다는 점을 들 수 있다. 결과적으로 20세기에 들어서까지 한인들의 만족스럽지 못한 내적인 기독교화 및 러시아화의 요인은 지방당국의 관심과 노력이 지속되지 못한 것에서 찾아볼 수 있다. 러시아 정부는 자신들의 발의로 이주시킨 한인들에 대해서조차 지속적인 관심과 충분한 지원을 하지 않았으며, 이는 결국 한인들의 낮은 러시아화라는 불만족스러운 결과를 낳았다. 즉 러시아 정교회의 아무르주 한인선교 활동은 세속당국의 적은 관심과 한계 속에서 수행되어 왔으며, 그로 인해 한인들의 러시아화 상태 또한 마을의 형성배경에 비해 만족할 만한 수준 가운데 있지 못했다고 볼 수 있다. In the past, Blagoslovennoe in Amurian oblast' of Priamurian region was one of the model settlements established and designed by the Russian government which would cost 15,271 ruble to immigrate people. The authorities and Russian Orthodox Church were trying to russianize Koreans through Russian schooling and mission work in the long run. For this, the first cathedral was built in memory of Aleksander Nevski in September, 1871 and a school for Koreans was established in Blagoslovennoe, in May 1872. In the 20th century, a boy’s and a girl’s school were newly established and education for Koreans continued to thrive with the effort of the authorities and Russian Orthodox Church. With the authorities and Russian Orthodox Church’s efforts and cooperation of young generation of Korea resulted in such growth. Additionally, establishment of the Vladivostok main parish church in Siberia, 1899 helped the education for Koreans to gain further attention and support. And G.V. Podstavin’s study on the ways to develop the education for Koreans encouraged the Priamurian authorities to continue to support the russianizing education for Koreans. However, although the authorities and Russian Orthodox Church’s policy for mission and russianization for Koreans in Blagoslovennoe produced some visible results, there were still substantial matters and limitations to be solved. One of the problems was in the Korean way of life, which is isolated. Although almost 20 years had passed after Koreans moved into Blagoslovennoe, they still lived in the same way they used to in Korea and the Eastern Orthodox Church, which Koreans believed, made it hard to successfully Christianize Koreans. Also, the state of russianization of Koreans was at a low level and there was no resident priest until early of 1880’s(there were no resident priests not later than 1890’s). Lastly, Korean’s administrative autonomy hindered the russianization and mission for Koreans. The reason that russianization and mission for Koreans could not make success was resulted from the authorities and Russian Orthodox Church’s discontinuous concerns and insufficient efforts. Furthermore, the Anti-Korean policy conducted under the domination of P.F. Unterberger, who was the General-governor of Priamurian, had negative effects on the russianization and mission for Koreans. Considering the backgrounds of movement and settlement of Blagoslovennoe, the Russian government regarded it one of the best regions satisfies the required condition for assimilation and russianization. However, discontinuous concerns and insufficient support brought about unsatisfactory results. In other words, despite all the formative features, the Russian Orthodox Churches’ efforts for Christianize Koreans could not make a great success with the Priamurian authorities’ unsustained attention and considerable limitations.

        蘇葉이 폐혈관에 미치는 영향

        Folium Perillae has been used in Korea for many centuries as a treatment for various disease. The purpose of the present study is to determine the effect of Folium Perillae on norepinephrine(NE) induced pulmonary artery contraction in rabbit. Rabbit(2 kg, male) were killed by CO2 exposure and a segment (8-10mm) of each rabbit was cut into equal segments and mounted in a tissue bath. Contractile force was measured with force displacement transducers under 2-3 g loading tension. The dose of norepinephrine(NE) which evoked 50% of maximal response (ED50) was obtained from cumulative dose response curves for NE(10-6∼10-3M). Contractions evoked by NE (ED50) were inhibited significantly by Folium Perillae in pulmonary artery. The mean percent inhibition of NE induced contraction was 16.7% (p〈0.05) after 10.0㎎/㎖ Folium Perillae. Propranolol slightly but significantly attenuated the inhibitory effects of Folium Perillae. Following treatment with propranolol, the mean percent inhibition caused by 10.0㎎/㎖ Folium Perillae fell to 16.2% in guinea pig induced by NE contraction. ODQ, methylene blue and L-NNA did not significantly alter the inhibitory effect of Folium Perillae. These results indicate that Folium Perillae can relax NE induced contraction of pulmonary artery, and that this inhibition involves sympathetic effects.

        The paper describes the development of a new automatic wrapping machine using paper films as it has not been used so far. The most of the automatic wrapping machine have used the vinyl film causing environmental pollution, the paper films, however, have a weak point in the aspect of high temperature adhesion. Therefore, the mechanism of the existing wrapping machine should be altered to prevent it from curling effect through the technical know-how. A new method and technology reducing the curling effect in the automnatic wrapping machine are demonstrated by using developed blower. Thus it is exqection and will decrease environmental pollution.

        MEASUREMENT OF THE SINGLE AND TWO PHASEFLOW USING A NEWLY DEVELOPED AVERAGEBIDIRECTIONAL FLOW TUBE

        A new instrument, an average BDFT (Birectional Flow Tube), was proposed to measure the flow rate in single and two phase flows. Its working principle is similar to that of the Pitot tube, wherein the dynamic pressure is measured. In an average BDFT, the pressure measured at the front of the flow tube is equal to the total pressure, while that measured at the rear tube is slightly less than the static pressure of the flow field due to the suction effect downstream. The proposed instrument was tested in air/water vertical and horizontal test sections with an inner diameter of 0.08m. The tests were performed primarily in single phase water and air flow conditions to obtain the amplification factor(k) of the flow tube in the vertical and horizontal test sections. Tests were also performed in air/water vertical two phase flow conditions in which the flow regimes were bubbly, slug, and churn turbulent flows. In order to calculate the phasic mass flow rates from the measured differential pressure, the Chexal drift-flux correlation and a momentum exchange factor between the two phases were introduced. The test results show that the proposed instrument with a combination of the measured void fraction, Chexal drift-flux correlation, and Bosio & Malnes’ momentum exchange model could predict the phasic mass flow rates within a 15% error. A new momentum exchange model was also proposed from the present data and its implementation provides a 5% improvement to the measured mass flow rate when compared to that with the Bosio & Malnes’ model.

        Numerical prediction of transient hydraulic loads acting on PWR steam generator tubes and supports during blowdown following a feedwater line break

        This paper presents a numerical prediction of the transient hydraulic loads acting on the tubes and external supports of a pressurized water reactor (PWR) steam generator (SG) during blowdown following a sudden feedwater line break (FWLB). A simplified SG model was used to easily demonstrate the prediction. The blowdown discharge flow was treated as a flashing flow to realistically simulate the transient flow fields inside the SG and the connected broken feedwater pipe. The effects of the SG initial pressure or the broken feedwater pipe length on the intensities or magnitudes of transient hydraulic loads were investigated. Then predictions of the decompression pressure wave-induced impulsive pressure differential loads on SG tubes and the transient blowdown loads on SG external supports were demonstrated and the general aspects of transient responses of such transient hydraulic loads to the FWLB were discussed.
