        본 연구는 유아의 연령에 따른 동물개념발달을 알아보고 그에 따른 유야생물교육의 방향올 제시 하는데 그 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 D시에 위치한 유아교육기관의 3·4·5세 유아 56명을 대상으로 이보영(2009)의 동물개념 연구에 기초하여 본 연구자가 수정 보완한 동물개념 질문지로 연령에 따른 유아들의 동물개념 변화를 분석하였다. 연구결과 유아의 연령의 증가에 따라 동물개념은 발달하는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 동물개념의 범주별로 분석한 결과 동물의 특징, 동물의 생활주기, 동물의 주변환경과의 관계에 대한 개념과 문항별 분석의 결과 유아들의 동물에 대한 사전개념올 알 수 있었다. 결과적으로 유아교육현장에서 동물올 주제로 교육활동올 구성 할 때, 유아들이 지각적인 경험만으로는 정확한 개념을 획득하기 어려운 부분이 있다. 따라서 유아의 생물교육을 위해서는 지각적인 관찰과 더불어 개념, 가치 그리고 태도 획득을 위한 생물교육활동을 구성하여야 하는 필요성을 시사해 준다. This study is aimed at determining the development of animal concepts by age in young children and suggesting a direction of biology education for young children accordingly. For this purpose, a survey using revised questionnaires on animal concepts based on previous research of animal concepts (Bo-young Rhee, 2009) was conducted among 56 young children ages 3 to 5 enrolled in early childhood education institutions in D city and analyzed to investigate changes in young children`s animal concepts by age. The survey results found that animal concepts in young children are developed with advancing age. They also showed preconception on animals in young children such as the concepts on characteristics, life cycle and surrounding environment of animals. Therefore, these findings suggest that biology educational activities for acquiring concepts, value, and attitude should be organized along with perceptual observation when composing educational activities on animals in the field of early childhood education since ymmg children may have difficulty in getting correct concepts only from their perceptual experiences.

      • A Preliminary Study on Youth Unemployment

        This study aims to analyze the characteristics, causes, and context of youth unemployment.This study will focus, in particular, on why youth unemployment needs more attentionthan in any other age group. The young are relatively disadvantaged compared to the middle-aged who enjoy first mover advantage. This is why the segmentation accordingto age group in labor markets is considered a primary issue in social policies, includinglabor market policy. Based on these arguments, this study discusses two major issues. First,based on theoretical discussions regarding labor markets and unemployment, this study will look at some general ideas and particulars that the young unemployed have. Youth unemployment has both ‘general characteristics', as a sub category to unemployment and‘demographical particularities' as unemployment issues particular to certain age groups. Second, this study will examine where unemployment among the young in South Koreastands by looking at the current status and structure of the youth labor market in SouthKorea. By doing so, this study will discuss what youth unemployment policies should bepursued both politically and economically, in order to address these issues.

        Polycystic ovarian morphology is associated with primary dysmenorrhea in young Korean women

        Objective This study was aimed at identifying a correlation between polycystic ovarian morphology (PCOM) and the severity of primary dysmenorrhea in young Korean women. Methods A total of 592 patients who visited a tertiary hospital from March 2008 to March 2015 for dysmenorrhea were examined. After excluding those with secondary causes of menstrual pain (for example, myoma, adenomyosis, endometriosis, and pelvic inflammatory disease), 361 women were recruited and retrospectively analyzed. Severe dysmenorrhea was defined as a visual analog scale (VAS) score ≥6. Results The mean patient age was 23.0±4.0 years, the average menstrual cycle length was 34.4±23.7 days, and the average pain intensity was VAS 6.7±0.1 at baseline. PCOM was assessed by ultrasound in 54 women (15%). Patients with severe menstrual pain were more likely to have irregular menstrual cycles (P=0.03) and heavy menstrual flow (P=0.01) than those with mild menstrual pain. After adjusting for weight, height, menstrual cycle interval, and menstrual flow in the logistic regression analysis, PCOM (odds ratio [OR], 2.26; 95% confidence interval [CI], 1.05-4.97; P=0.04) and heavy menstrual flow (OR, 1.85; 95% CI, 1.05-3.28; P=0.04) were found to be significant independent factors influencing pain. Conclusion Our study shows that PCOM may have a correlation with the severity of primary dysmenorrhea. Since PCOM may play a role in the development of menstrual pain, patients with PCOM should be under active surveillance with resources for prompt pain management readily available. It may also be necessary to further investigate the molecular mechanisms of pain development in primary dysmenorrhea.

        그림책을 매개로 한 또래와의 상호작용 중심의 읽기ㆍ쓰기 지도 프로그램이 유아의 읽기ㆍ쓰기 능력에 미치는 영향

        본 연구의 목적은 유아교육기관에서의 그림책을 매개로 한 또래와의 상호작용 중심의 읽기ㆍ쓰기 지도 프로그램이 유아들의 읽기ㆍ쓰기 능력에 미치는 영향을 알아보는 데 있다. 연구대상은 만5세 남녀 유아 37명(실험집단 18명, 통제집단: 19명)이며, 실험집단은 그림책을 매개로 또래와의 상호작용을 촉진시키는 읽기ㆍ 쓰기 지도 프로그램을 실시하였고 통제집단은 대그룹으로 그림책 읽기 활동만 실시하였다. 유아들의 읽기ㆍ쓰기 능력은 읽기 검사, 쓰기 검사, 그림책에 대한 이해도 검사로 나누어 평가하였다. 연구결과 그림책을 매개로 한 또래와의 상호작용 중심의 읽기ㆍ쓰기 지도 프로그램은 유아들의 읽기ㆍ쓰기 능력 및 그림책에 대한 이해 능력 모두 향상시키는 것으로 나타났다. The aim of this study is to investigate the influence that literacy programs, which is focused on the interaction with peer group, have on young children' literacy ability. Subjects are 37 young children which are five years old (experimental group: 18, control group: 19). The experimental group were given literacy programs using picture books that encourage interaction with peers, while the control group were given activities in which young children only read picture books in large group. Young children's literacy ability were evaluated through reading test, writing test, and comprehension rest The results are as follows: literacy reaching programs using picture books that are focused on the interaction with peer group had influence on young children's literacy ability and comprehension ability.

        인성관련 그림책을 활용한 이야기나누기가 유아의 자기조절능력과 공감능력 발달에 미치는 효과

        본 연구의 목적은 인성관련 그림책을 활용한 이야기나누기가 유아의 자기조절능력과 공감능력 발달에 미치는 효과를 알아보는 것이다. 연구대상은 J시에 소재한 J유치원의 만5세 유아 57명이다. 본 연구에서는 인성교육덕목이 포함된 그림책을 선정하여 이야기나누기를 실시하였다. 검사결과 수집된 자료는 SPSS WIN 11.5 프로그램을 이용하여 분석하였다. 연구결과, 인성관련 그림책을 활용한 이야기나누기 활동은 유아의 자기조절능력과 공감능력 발달 증진에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과로 인성관련 그림책을 활용한 이야기나누기는 유아교육현장에서 인성교육 활성화를 위한 효과적인 교수학습방법이 될 수 있음을 시사한다. This study aimed to identify the effects of the story discussion using the character-related picture books on self-regulation ability and empathy ability of young children. The research subjects were 57 young children at 6 in J Kindergarten located in J city. The research conducted the story discussions in three steps: before reading, in the middle of reading and after reading the selected picture books that include the virtues of character education (consideration, respect, cooperation, sharing, order and filial duty). As a result, the story discussion using the character-related picture books had a positive impact on improving development of self-regulation and empathy abilities of young children. Therefore, this research indicates that the story discussion using the character-related picture books can become an effective teaching and learning method to vitalize character education in the field of early childhood education.

        예비유아교사의 장애유아에 대한 이미지 유형 분석

        본 연구는 예비유아교사들의 장애유아에 대한 이미지 유형과 그 특성을 Q-방법을 활용하여 살펴보았다. 이를 위해 선행연구 검토 및 예비유아교사 55명의 면담과 브레인스토밍을 통해 진술문을 수집하여 Q 모집단을 구성하였으며, 이를 유목화 한 후 40개의 진술문으로 Q-표본을 구성하였다. 46명의 예비유아교사들을 대상으로 장애유아에 대해 인식하고 있는 이미지를 9단계로 Q 분류하도록 하고, 그 자료를 QUANL 프로그램을 통해 Q 요인분석을 하였다. 그 결과 예비유아교사들의 장애유아에 대한 이미지는 4개의 유형으로 구분되었으며, 각 유형을 ``잠재력 인정형``, ``발달가능성 부정형``, ``부정적 정서 반응형``, ``교육적 지원 요구형``으로 명명하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 예비교사의 지원요구를 파악하기 위한 질적 정보를 제공하며, 성공적인 통합교육을 위한 예비교사양성 프로그램의 유용한 기초자료가 된다. The purpose of this study was to examine the types of image on young children with disabilities recognized by the pre-service early childhood teachers through Q-methodology. Q-population of this study was collected from a literature review regarding young children with disabilities and interviews through brainstorming with 55 pre-service teachers. Among the extracted Q-population, 40 Q-samples were collected by category. P-sample as subjects of this study was 46 college students majoring in early childhood education, and Q-sorting was conducted by pre-service early childhood teachers on their image of young children with disabilities. The data was analyzed using QUANL program. As a results of this study, the image on young children with disabilities recognized by pre-service early childhood teacher was classified into 4 types. 4 types were ``type 1: recognizing the potential``, ``type 2: denying the possibility of development``, ``type 3: reacting with negative emotions``, and ``type 4: claiming educational support``. These results will be used to develop the program which is related with administering the integrated class and the teaching methodology of young children with disabilities for pre-service early childhood teachers.

        유아를 위한 그림책에 나타난 죽음의 의미 탐색

        본 연구는 유아를 위한 그림책을 통해 다양한 죽음의 대상을 이해하고 죽음에 대한 개념을 형성시키는 것이 중요하다고 생각하였다. 이에 죽음과 관련된 그림책을 연구대상으로 하여, 그림책에 나타난 죽음의 의미를 분석하고자 하였다. 이를 위한 분석대상은 유아를 위한 그림책 24권이며, 2011년 10월~2012년 4월까지 내용분석연구방법을 사용하였다. 연구결과 첫째, 유아를 위한 그림책에 나타난 죽음의 개념은 ‘우리는 언젠가는 이별해야 한다', ‘죽음은 다시는 볼 수 없다', ‘죽음은 하고 싶어도 못한다', ‘죽음은 원인이 있다', ‘살아 있는 것은 늙어간다', ‘죽으면 다른 세계로 간다'로 나타났다. 둘째, 유아를 위한 그림책에 나타난 죽음의 의미는 ‘끊임없이 이어지는 불안과 두려움의 시간: 불안함', ‘아무것도 할 수 없는 고립된 시간: 무감각', ‘자꾸만 떠오르는 추억의 시간: 그리움', ‘어쩔수 없는 선택의 시간: 타협함', ‘슬프지만 아름다운 시간: 인정함', ‘또 다른 삶의 시간: 이겨냄'으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구결과는 유아교육현장에서 그림책을 통해 유아들이 죽음의 의미를 보다 정확히 이해할 수 있도록 교육하는 데 실질적인 도움을 줄 수 있을 것이다. This study is to analyze the meanings of death in young children`s picture books on the premise that it is important to understand various targets of death and build the concept of death, intended for research with the picture books related to death. According to the study purposes above, this study assumed research questions below: First, how are the concepts of death appearing in young children`s picture books established? Second, how are the meanings of death appearing in young children`s picture books represented? This study employed the content analysis as a research method. The analysis of each book`s content was performed from October 2011 to April 2012. The researchers classified 24 finally chosen picture books, and those classified books were again sub-classified as words on death, upper concept on words and lower concept on words. According to the results of this study, first, it was found that the concepts of death appearing in young children`s picture books were ``I am going to get separated someday,`` ``I can`t see death once again,`` ``I can`t die even though I want to,`` ``Death has a cause,`` ``Living creatures are to get aged,`` ``When you die, you go to another world.`` Second, it was found that the meanings of death appearing in young children`s picture books were ``ceaseless continuance of time of anxiety and fear: anxiety,`` ``isolated time of nothing you can do: insensibility,`` ``time of memories that pop up repeatedly: nostalgia,`` ``choice of time with nothing to do: compromise,`` ``sad but beautiful time: acknowledgment,`` ``time of another life: surmount.`` In conclusion, young children experienced reasonable and systemic understanding of death with picture books in their education field.

      • 젊은 성인에서 흡연에 의한 상완동맥 내피기능의 부전에 관한 연구

        Background and Objectives : Cigarette smoking is a major factor and the most modifiable risk factor for atherosclerosis. Endothelial dysfunction is an early event in atherosclerosis, before the structural change of the systemic arteries. We hypothesized that endothelial dysfunction might be present in the systemic arteries of young adult smokers and that this might be dose-dependent phenomenon. Therefore, we try to certify that smoking is associated with endothelial dysfunction in healthy young adults without other risk factor of atherosclerosis. Subjects and Methods : we studied noninvasively 29 subjects aged 3 to 4 decades without other risk factor of atherosclerosis, they were composed of the two groups, current smokers(n=15) and nonsmokers(n=14). Smoking history varied from 3 to 20 pack years. Using high-resolution ultrasound, vessel diameter and mean flow rate were measured at rest, during reactive hyperemia(with flow-mediated endothelium-dependent dilation), and after sublingual nitroglycerin(NG-induced endothelium-independent vasodilation). Result : Flow mediated endothelium dependent dilation was observed in the control subjects (9.4±3.44%) but was impaired in the smokers(5.8±2.51%)(p=0.004). NG-induced endothelium independent dilation is no difference in all subjects. Conclusion : Cigarette smoking is associated with endothelial dysfunction in healthy young adults.

        A Comparison of Food Components of Red Sea Bream (Pagrus major) Cultured in Copper Alloy (Brass) and Nylon Net Cages

        The food components of red sea bream(Pagrus major) cultured in copper alloy(brass) net(BN) and nylon net(NN) cages for nine months were investigated. The body weight was 234.9g at the beginning of the culture(the young fish), and then 692.1g(BN group) and 549.3g(NN group) at the fish cultured for nine months(the nine-month culture fish). The moisture content of the edible portion of the fish was higher in the young fish than in the nine-month culture fish. On the contrary, the lipid content was higher in the latter (9.1-10.6%) than in the former (7.6%). The lipid content in the nine-month culture fish was slightly higher in the BN group compared to the NN group. There was little difference in protein content between the young fish and the nine-month culture fish, or between the BN and NN groups. There was a slightly higher level of copper content in the liver (5ppm in the young fish and 5-6ppm in the nine-month culture fish) compared to the edible portions (1ppm in the young fish and 3-4ppm in the nine-month culture fish), but no difference was evident between the BN and NN groups. The prominent fatty acids were 16:0, 18:1n-9, 22:6n-3, 16:1n-7, 18:2n-6, 20:5n-3, and 18:0 in the edible portions of the young and cultured fish. The n-3 fatty acid content was slightly richer in the BN group.

        유아의 행동문제와 유아교육기관 적응력, 또래관계, 자아탄력성 및 마음이론 간의 관계분석

        본 연구의 목적은 유아의 행동문제와 유아교육기관 적응력, 또래관계, 자아탄력성, 및 마음이론 간 의 관계를 분석하고 유아의 행동문제에 영향을 미치는 예측변인을 밝히는데 있다. 본 연구의 연구대상 은 유치원에 재원중인 만 5세 유아 153명으로 평균 월령은 66.05개월 이였다. ‘K-CBCL 1.5-5'와 유 아교육기관 적응력 검사도구(PAQ)', ‘또래관계 검사도구(PIPPS)', ‘자아탄력성 검사도구(DECA)', ‘ 마 음이론 검사도구를 사용하여 연구자료를 수집하였으며 수집된 자료는 Pearson 적률상관계수와 단계적 중다회귀를 통해 검증하였다. 연구결과, 유아의 내재화, 외현화 행동문제는 또래관계에 유의미한 정적 상관이 있는 것으로 나타났으며, 자아탄력성, 유아교육기관 적응력, 마음이론에 유의미한 부적상관이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 유아의 내재화 행동문제에 있어서는 유아교육기관 적응력이 유의미한 부적 예 측변인으로 나타났으며, 유아의 외현화 행동문제에 있어서는 자아탄력성, 또래관계, 마음이론이 유의미 한 부적 예측변인으로 나타났다. This study investigated the relationships among young children's problem behavior and peer relation, ego-resilience, preschool adaptation, theory of mind. Subjects used in this study were 153 young children whose mean age of 66.05 months, and who were attended in eight kindergartens. Research instruments used in collecting data were ‘Child Behavior Check List preschool 1.5-5', ‘Penn Interactive Peer Play Scale(PIPPS)', The Devereux Early Childhood Assessment(DECA), ‘The Preschool Adjustment Questionnaire(PAQ)', and lastly, 'Theory of Mind'. The collected data were analyzed through SPSS 18.0 program. Pearson's correlation and Stepwise Multi-Regression Analysis were used to analyze the data. The results of this study were as follows: First, there were positve correlations between young children's problem behaviors and peer relationship. Second, there were negative correlations between young children's problem behaviors and ego-resilience, preschool adaptation and theory of mind. Third, preschool adaptation were found to be predictable variables affecting young children's internalizing problem behavior and peer relation, ego-resilience, and theory of mind were found to be predictable variables affecting young children's externalizing problem behavior.
