      • Transonic buffet alleviation on 3D wings: wind tunnel tests and closed-loop control investigations

        The presented paper gives an overview of several projects addressing the experimental characterization and control of the buffet phenomenon on 3D turbulent wings in transonic flow conditions. This aerodynamic instability induces strong wall pressure fluctuations and therefore limits flight domain. Consequently, to enlarge the latter but also to provide more flexibility during the design phase, it is interesting to try to delay the buffet onset. This paper summarizes the main investigations leading to the achievement of open and closed-loop buffet control and its experimental demonstration. Several wind tunnel tests campaigns, performed on a 3D half wing/fuselage body, enabled to characterize the buffet aerodynamic instability and to study the efficiency of innovative fluidic control devices designed and manufactured by ONERA. The analysis of the open-loop databases demonstrated the effects on the usual buffet characteristics, especially on the shock location and the separation areas on the wing suction side. Using these results, a closed-loop control methodology based on a quasi-steady approach was defined and several architectures were tested for various parameters such as the input signal, the objective function, the tuning of the feedback gain. All closed-loop methods were implemented on a dSPACE device able to estimate in real time the fluidic actuators command calculated mainly from the unsteady pressure sensors data. The efficiency of delaying the buffet onset or limiting its effects was demonstrated using the quasi-steady closed-loop approach and tested in both research and industrial wind tunnel environments.

        Le rôle de la confiance dans le consentement à payer pour les marques de luxe: le cas des parfums

        The aim of this paper is to highlight the role of consumer trust in their willingness to pay of luxury perfumes. Among the high symbolic value brands, the luxury brand has a particular marketing approach insofar as consumer behavior does not only relate to the brand or product, which makes a special and separate category from other brands. To investigate the relation between trust and willingness to pay we realized a survey on 124 people. By analyzing the process preceding the act of purchasung and using a Tobit model, we conclude that trust positively determines the WTP. This experimental study allows to better understand the purchasing process and helps to support a pricing strategy of aiming to improve the perception of trust among consumers. L'objectif de cette étude est de mettre en évidence le rôle de la confiance des consommateurs dans leur consentement à payer pour les parfums de luxe. Parmi les marques à forte valeur symbolique, la marque de luxe possède une approche marketing particulière dans la mesure où les comportement de consommation ne se rapportent pas qu’à la marque ou au produit, en faisant une catégorie particulière et distincte des autres marques. Nous avons réalisé pour cela une enquête auprès de 124 personnes. En décomposant le processus précédant l'acte d'achat et grâce à un modèle Tobit, nous concluons que la confiance détermine positivement le CAP. Cette étude expérimentale permet ainsi de mieux comprendre le processus d'achat et contribue à appuyer une stratégie de pricing d'une visant à améliorer la perception de la confiance auprès des consommateurs.

        Specificity of Lower Urinary Tract Symptoms in Neuromyelitis Optica in Comparison With Multiple Sclerosis Patients

        Purpose: The aim of this study was to describe lower urinary tract symptoms in neuromyelitis optica (NMO), and to compare these data with urinary disorders observed in multiple sclerosis (MS) patients. Methods: Retrospective study of data collected from January 1997 to July 2017 using the database from a Neuro-Urology Department of a university hospital. NMO and MS patients were matched for sex, age, and Expanded Disability Status Scale (EDSS) Results: Twenty-six patients with NMO were included and compared with 33 MS patients. Mean age was 41.6 years (standard deviation [SD], 14,8), mostly female patients (24 vs. 2 males). Mean EDSS was 4.6 (SD, 1.8) in the 2 groups. In NMO group, 57% of the patients (n=15) had overactive bladder with urgency and urge incontinence and 38.5% (n=10) of them had nocturia. Voiding symptoms was observed in 69.2% of the patients (n=18); 42.3% of NMO patients performed self-intermittent catheterization versus 12.1% in MS patients (P=0.012). Low bladder compliance and severe urinary tract infections (pyelonephritis) were more frequent in NMO than in MS patients (respectively 15% vs. 0%, P=0.016 and 42% vs. 12%, P=0.024). Conclusions: Lower urinary tract symptoms, especially overactive bladder and urinary retention, are frequent in NMO. Low bladder compliance, serious urinary infections, and high prevalence of urinary retention requiring self-intermittent catheterization are the main symptoms significantly more frequent than in MS.

        Improving methods for normalizing biomedical text entities with concepts from an ontology with (almost) no training data at BLAH5 the CONTES

        Entity normalization, or entity linking in the general domain, is an information extraction task that aims to annotate/bind multiple words/expressions in raw text with semantic references, such as concepts of an ontology. An ontology consists minimally of a formally organized vocabulary or hierarchy of terms, which captures knowledge of a domain. Presently, machine-learning methods, often coupled with distributional representations, achieve good performance. However, these require large training datasets, which are not always available, especially for tasks in specialized domains. CONTES (CONcept-TErm System) is a supervised method that addresses entity normalization with ontology concepts using small training datasets. CONTES has some limitations, such as it does not scale well with very large ontologies, it tends to overgeneralize predictions, and it lacks valid representations for the out-of-vocabulary words. Here, we propose to assess different methods to reduce the dimensionality in the representation of the ontology. We also propose to calibrate parameters in order to make the predictions more accurate, and to address the problem of out-of-vocabulary words, with a specific method.

        프랑스어 교육에서 이론과 관찰에 기반한 멀티미디어 받아쓰기에 관한 연구

        본 연구에서는 프랑스어 수업에서 Moodle 플랫폼을 활용한 받아쓰기 학습을 시행하였다. 멀티미디어 받아쓰기 학습은 학습자가 제한 없이 연속적으로 정답을 시도하고, 오류를 즉각적으로 확인할 수 있게 함으로써, 무엇보다도 초급 및 중급 학생들의 듣기와 쓰기 학습 훈련에 효과적이었다. 또한 한국의 교육 상황에서 이러한 학습의 실제적인 최적화를 위해, 기존의 프랑스 언어 문화 교육 방식을 개편하고, 새로운 받아쓰기 학습을 통해 듣기, 쓰기 능력 습득에 관한교육 분야(인지과학)의 최근 연구들을 새로운 시각으로 재구성하였다. 마지막으로 본 연구는 관련 사이트의 장점 및 개선사항을 파악하기 위해 이를 활용한 네 수업의 학습자들을 대상으로 설문조사를 시행하고 이를 분석하였다. Enseignant de français en milieu universitaire sud-coréen, nous avons fait le choix d'utiliser une plateforme MOODLE ; par la transcription de courtes dictées autonomes, elle permet entre autres de former nos étudiants débutants et intermédiaires en compréhension orale et écrite. Elle leur fournit la confirmation immédiate d'un nombre non limité de tentatives. Pour étayer nos choix éducatifs en contexte coréen, nous resituerons d'abord notre travail dans le prolongement de pratiques en didactique des langues-cultures plus anciennes, des travaux récents en sciences de l'éducation, en particulier quant à l'acquisition des compétences en compréhension et production écrites, par la pratique renouvelée de dictées négociables. Le présent travail conclut par l'analyse d'une enquête adressée à quatre classes d'utilisateurs du site, afin d'identifier les aspects pertinents et à améliorer.

      • L’usage d’un environnement numérique de travail dans l’enseignement du français en Corée

        이 보고서는 특히 학계에서 한국 프랑스 어 교사들이 직면한 도전을 해결합니다. 교실에서 외국어를 교육하기 위한 조건을 짧게 설명한 후, 우리는 디지털 환경을 바탕으로 가능한 대안을 제안한다. 우리는 이미 전 세계의 다른 기관에서 사용하는 솔루션 그룹과 함께 수업평가, 과제의 효과적인 관리, 학생들에게 제공하는 활동의 효율적인 모니터링, 지금까지 사용하던 훈련의 새로운 범위를 허용할 수 있다 (녹음이나 채팅). 이 간략한 설명은 원격 학습을 위한 디지털 도구 사용에 대한 커뮤니티를 개발하는 코스로 교육기술통합에 관심이 있는 교사들을 위한 것입니다. 일부 제안을 하기 위해서는 다음의 순서로 이루어 집니다 : 프랑스 어 교육에 필요한 사항강조 (예를 들어 한국 교수와 프랑스 교수가 함께 수업에 참여 하거나 중간고사나 기말고사 보다 매주 테스트를 실시한다), 수업에 대한 학생들의 기대를 재정의 한다 (예를들어 학생들이 서로 멀티미디어 문법을 도움 받을 수 있다), 학생들이 만든 자료를 업로드하고 일정동안 이 자료를 보관 할 수 있다. 프랑스 어를 사용 할 수 있는 나라나 교환학생이나 우리 캠퍼스의 학습자를 연결 할 수 있다. 학습에 학생들 스스로 참여하고 프랑스 어 교수의 공동참여를 위해 만들었습니다. Ce document aborde les difficultés rencontrées par les enseignants de français en Corée du Sud, en particulier en milieu universitaire. Après une brève description des conditions d'enseignement, peu propices à la pratique des langues étrangères en classe, nous aborderons l’alternative possible des environnements numériques de travail. Nous verrons que des solutions déjà mises en place dans d'autres établissements à travers le monde permettent une meilleure gestion des groupes de classes, un meilleur suivi des activités proposées aux étudiants, et une nouvelle typologie d'exercices jusqu'ici peu, ou pas du tout, mis en oeuvre. Cette description rapide vise cependant à mieux informer les enseignants intéressés par l'intégration des technologies éducatives dans leur cours afin de développer une communauté de pratiques autour de l'utilisation des outils numériques d'enseignement à distance. Quelques propositions sont faites dans ce sens, afin de souligner la nécessaire évolution de l'enseignement du français dans un contexte technologique favorable, et de redéfinir l’implication de l'élève dans ses apprentissages, dans des projets académiques qui témoignent de ses aptitudes, et par la mise en relation à distance ou effective des apprenants et des étudiants francophones en France ou présents sur nos campus.
