Discovering and Maintaining Semantic Mappings between XML Schemas and Ontologies

An, Yuan,Borgida, Alex,Mylopoulos, John Korean Institute of Information Scientists and Eng 2008 Journal of Computing Science and Engineering Vol.2 No.1

There is general agreement that the problem of data semantics has to be addressed for XML data to become machine-processable. This problem can be tackled by defining a semantic mapping between an XML schema and an ontology. Unfortunately, creating such mappings is a tedious, time-consuming, and error-prone task. To alleviate this problem, we present a solution that heuristically discovers semantic mappings between XML schemas and ontologies. The solution takes as input an initial set of simple correspondences between element attributes in an XML schema and class attributes in an ontology, and then generates a set of mapping formulas. Once such a mapping is created, it is important and necessary to maintain the consistency of the mapping when the associated XML schema and ontology evolve. In this paper, we first offer a mapping formalism to represent semantic mappings. Second, we present our heuristic mapping discovery algorithm. Third, we show through an empirical study that considerable effort can be saved when discovering complex mappings by using our prototype tool. Finally, we propose a mapping maintenance plan dealing with schema evolution. Our study provides a set of effective solutions for building sustainable semantic integration systems for XML data.

STRUCTURE IMPROVEMENT OF TRUCK CARRIAGE WITH SEALING COVER

        Anyuan Jiao,Fulong Chen,Xiaomei Chen,Shulin Shen 한국자동차공학회 2020 International journal of automotive technology Vol.21 No.1

SolidWorks and ANSYS Workbench were used to establish solid model and perform FEM analysis of truck with and without sealing covers respectively. In the past practical production, there has been no precedent for the modal analysis of the truck carriage with a sealing cover; the modal analysis is carried out for the first time in this paper. The vibration characteristics of the truck carriage are obtained. The first ten-order of non-rigid mode of the newly development truck carriage is obtained and the excitation frequency range of the idling state of the engine is calculated to avoid resonating with the ground. In order to avoid the resonance phenomenon during the truck running, the vibration characteristics of the new carriage model were studied, the first ten non-rigid modes of the new carriage model were extracted, and the excitation frequency range of the engine during idling was calculated. The non-rigid natural frequencies of the first 10 free models are between 6.18 ~ 26.74 Hz. The engine idling excitation frequency is 32.5 ~ 145 Hz, and the common excitation frequency caused by road roughness is 3 Hz. In theory, it does not cause resonance when driving in a normal state.

Study on Variable Parameter Helical Milling of TC4 Titanium Alloy Tube

        Anyuan Jiao,Jingqi Yuan,Yue Zhang,Jialong Zhang,Yongxin Miao,Guojun Liu 한국정밀공학회 2023 International Journal of Precision Engineering and Vol.24 No.11

Titanium alloy was widely used in various tubing systems due to the excellent performance, and tubes were usually used as a connection channel for conveying media with holes. However, the stability and dependability of media transmission in the tubing system would be directly impacted by the quality of the holes. This study primarily focused on TC4 titanium alloy tubes to investigate variable parameter helical milling holes to enhance the quality of tube connection holes. The finite element method simulation and response surface method were used to examine the relationship between each process parameter and the accuracy of the holes. Thus, a better combination of process parameters was projected. And based on this, a variable parameter hole-making scheme was proposed to lower the burrs at the entrance and exit of holes and enhance the quality of the wall of holes. The results showed that the aperture of 5.015 mm after processing the titanium alloy tube using the better process parameters met the requirements of H8. Additionally, the burrs at the hole entrance were 1.4 μm, the burrs at the hole exit were not noticeable, and the surface roughness Rz and Ra were 1.459 μm and 0.232 μm, respectively, met the requirements of process technology. The variable parameter helical milling technique used in this study could significantly raise the quality of holes produced in titanium alloy tubes and serve as a valuable benchmark for tubes of other materials.

Study of failure analysis and manufacturing processes improvement of cracking connecting rod

Zhen Zhang,Anyuan Jiao,Xiwei Lv,Haodong Ding 대한기계학회 2022 JOURNAL OF MECHANICAL SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY Vol.36 No.11

Herein, we provide a novel method of using finite element analysis to guide the improvement of manufacturing processes on the basis of physicochemical analysis. First, based on the theoretical analysis of the force of the connecting rod, the solid model of cracking connecting rod is established by SolidWorks. Then the static stress analysis, modal analysis and fatigue analysis are carried out by ANSYS, determining the location where the connecting rod is prone to failure. Second, the influence of processing technology and other factors on the failure of connecting rod is analyzed, and several improved schemes for the manufacturing process are proposed. Finally, the fatigue test of the connecting rod is performed to verify the effect. Compared with the unimproved connecting rod, the tension and pressure of the improved connecting rod increased to 92.34 KN and -425.7 KN, respectively. The safety factor under this load is 1.8, which has increased by 20 % compared to 1.5 before the improvement.

Vertical Distribution and Temporal Variation of Asian Dust Observed over Hefei, China by Using a Lidar

        Jun Zhou,Anyuan Fan,Cha Hyungki,Dong Liu,Dukhyeon Kim,Fudi Qi,Guangyu Shi,Guming Yue 한국물리학회 2006 THE JOURNAL OF THE KOREAN PHYSICAL SOCIETY Vol.49 No.1

A Mie lidar has been used to make observations of Asian dust over Hefei (31.90 N, 117.16 E) in the every spring month since the year of 1998. This paper presents the main features of the vertical distribution and the temporal variation of the Asian dust extinction coefficient at a 532-nm wavelength during seven years. There were two kinds of vertical distributions of Asian dust extinction coefficients. One kind of distribution indicated that the Asian dust particles intruded into the local boundary layer, causing a very thick dust layer with depth of about 3 4 km. The other one showed that the Asian dust passed over Hefei area above the boundary layer. The aerosol extinction coefficients in the elevated dust layer within the middle troposphere from 3 to 6 km were unusually large. Seasonally averaged aerosol extinction coefficient profiles showed that larger aerosol extinction coefficients were observed in the altitude range from 1 km to 10 km in the springtime than in any other season.쯢

Parametric investigation on an industrial electromagnetic continuous casting mould performance

        Lintao Zhang,Anyuan Deng,Ian Cameron,Engang Wangb,Johann Sienz 한국CDE학회 2017 Journal of computational design and engineering Vol.4 No.4

This research aimed at conducting a quantitative investigation of process parameters on the magnetic field contribution in an electromagnetic continuous casting mould. The Taguchi method (4 factors and 3 factor value levels: L9 orthogonal array) was adopted to design matrix of the simulation runs and the analysis of variance was used to evaluate the contributions of each control factor. The simulations were conducted based on the finite element method and the numerical set-up was validated by the designed experiment. The results showed that the applied alternating current magnitude contributed most (76.64%) to the magnetic field level in the mould, compared to the other control factors. It was followed by the slit length (17.72%), the alternating current frequency (4.17%) and the slit width (1.57%).

      • An Efficient Routing in Urban Vehicular Ad Hoc Networks

        Xu Liya,Deng Anyuan,Gao Guangyong,Yang Wenzhong,Cheng Yong 보안공학연구지원센터 2016 International Journal of Smart Home Vol.10 No.8

VANET is a highly mobile wireless ad hoc network that is targeted to support road safety, traffic monitoring and other applications. The node communication is easy to break due to the high mobility of vehicles and the road layout. In this paper, we propose an efficient routing based on static node assistance. The static nodes are fixed in each intersection. Each static node stores information of other static nodes in path. The routing takes static nodes as backbone nodes and vehicles as relay nodes between static nodes. The static nodes are selected dynamically and sequentially, and they are chosen according to the delay that packets are forwarded from the current static node to the candidate one. The vehicular relay selection between two static nodes considers the link stability as the parameter. Simulation results show performance improvement comparing with performance of other existing routing approaches.

Ginkgolic Acid Suppresses Nasopharyngeal Carcinoma Growth by Inducing Apoptosis and Inhibiting AKT/NF-κB Signaling

        Yu Xiao,Fen Li,Anyuan Zheng,Qibing Chen,Fuhai Chen,Xiang Cheng,Zezhang Tao 한국식품영양과학회 2021 Journal of medicinal food Vol.24 No.8

Even though nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC) is not common worldwide, it is a major public health burden in endemic areas. Distant metastasis often leads to a poor prognosis for NPC; therefore, new and effective anticancer strategies are needed. Ginkgolic acid (GA) is small-molecule compound existing in Ginkgo biloba that has various biologically relevant activities, including antitumor properties; however, its effects and mechanism of action in NPC are unknown. The effects of GA on NPC and such underlying mechanisms were investigated using 5–8F and CNE2 cells and NP69 human immortalized nasopharyngeal epithelial cells in this study. Moreover, the xenograft models were built to examine GA's effection in vivo. GA treatment decreased the survival and invasive capacity of 5–8F and CNE2 and induced their apoptosis, which varied with dose; this was accompanied by downregulation of B cell lymphoma (Bcl)2, upregulation of Bcl2-associated X protein, and activation of poly-ADP ribose polymerase, and caspase-9/-3. G0/G1 phase arrest was induced by GA in NPCs. It also reduced the expression of cyclin-dependent kinase 6 and its regulators cyclin D2 and cyclin D3. GA inhibited the activation of protein kinase B/nuclear factor signaling; this effect was potentiated with GA and 5-fluorouracil (5-FU), which also enhanced 5-FU-induced apoptosis. In summary, GA may be effective as an adjuvant to conventional chemotherapy drugs in preventing the progression of NPC.
