Background: Human papillomavirus-like particles (HPV VLPs) obtained by self-assembly of L1 or L1 and L2 proteins produced by recombinant DNA technology in insect cells are one of promising prophylactic vaccine candidates to prevent genital HPV infection and the subsequent development of cervical cancer. Insect cells such as Sf9 cells are susceptible to arboviruses of which adventitious contamination during the production process may pose safety concern. The objective of the study was to evaluate viral clearance in the currently available purification procedures for HPV16 L1 VLPs produced from recombinant baculovirus-infected Sf9 cells using Japanese encephalitis virus (JEV) as a model. Methods: HPV16 L1 VLPs were purified by the following procedure: detergent lysis using PBS-0.5% NP40, sonication, sucrose cushion centrifugation, and cesium chloride (CsCl) equilibrium density centrifugation. Each purification procedure was evaluated to determine a reduction factor (Rf) for JEV clearance by infectivity titration and a real-time quantitative RT- PCR assay following deliberate addition (spiking) of JEV. The results of the infectivity titration and real-time quantitative RT-PCR assay were expressed as median tissue culture infectious dose (TCID50). Results: Detergent treatment and CsCl density centrifugation were found to be effective in the JEV clearance, which resulted in the reduction of 6.76 and 4.37 log viral infectivity, respectively. The overall Rf for JEV clearance in the purification process of HPV VLPs was 12.76 log viral infectivity. Conclusions: The results of the study suggest that the above purification procedure for HPV VLPs produced from recombinant baculovirus-infected Sf9 cells will be effective in the clearance (inactivation and/or removal) of enveloped arboviruses with a buoyant density of 1.23 g/ml or below.
기업 이미지가 소비자 동일시, 브랜드 친숙도, 신제품 평가에 미치는 영향

본 연구는 기업 이미지에 관한 다양한 연구의 일환으로 기업의 능력과 기업의 사회적 책임이 제품 - 소비자 수준의 매개변수들인 브랜드 친숙도와 기업 - 소비자 동일시와의 관계를 통해 소비자의 신제품 평가에 어떤 영향을 미치는지를 분석한 것이다. 연구 결과 지각된 기업의 능력은 브랜드 친숙도와 기업 - 소비자 동일시에, 지각된 기업의 사회적 책임의 이행은 기업 - 소비자 동일시에 각각 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 기업의 능력은 기업 - 소비자 동일시보다 브랜드 친숙도에 상대적으로 큰 영향을 미치는 반면, 기업의 능력과 기업의 사회적 책임이 직접적으로 신제품에 대한 긍정적인 태도 형성에 기여하지는 못하는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 기업의 능력과 기업의 사회적 책임이 브랜드 친숙도와 기업 - 소비자 동일시를 통해 소비자들의 신제품 평가에 대한 태도를 형성하게 하고, 영향력 또한 비대칭적이라는 것을 시사해 주고 있다. 따라서 본 연구의 의미는 기업의 능력에 초점을 맞춘 경우에는 브랜드 친숙도 형성에, 기업의 사회적 책임에 초점을 맞춘 경우에는 기업 - 소비자 동일시 형성에 노력하는 마케팅 및 광고 활동의 선택과 집중에 있어 가이드라인 역할을 하는 데 있다고 하겠다. This article is a part of research for the influence of corporate image, which elucidates the relationship between corporate ability (CA), corporate social responsibility (CSR) and consumer’s new product evaluation, by mediating brand familiarity and consumer identification. Result shows that recognized corporate ability (CA) has influence on brand familiarity and consumer identification. Recognized corporate social responsibility (CSR) also has influence on consumer identification. Corporate ability (CA) has considerable influence on brand familiarity than consumer identification. On the other hand, corporate ability (CA) and corporate social responsibility (CSR) do not have direct influence on the formation of positive attitude to new product. This result implies that corporate ability (CA) and corporate social responsibility (CSR) make consumer’s likes or dislikes about new product through the medium of brand familiarity and consumer identification. And this process is somewhat asymmetric. Therefore, if a company focuses on corporate ability (CA), it should make effort to make customer familiar to corporate brand. Similarly, if a company focuses on corporate social responsibility (CSR), it should endeavor to form consumer identification with company by means of marketing activities, such as promotion event, ads, and so on. As an effective guideline, this paper can contribute to select proper marketing by essential concept of company.
Zinc-enriched(ZEN) terminals in mouse olfactory bulb

The present study was designed to localize zinc-enriched (ZEN) terminals in mouse olfactory bulb by means of ZnT3 immunocytochemistry (ICC) and zinc autometallography (AMG). The immunocytochemical staining of ZnT3 was closely correlated with the AMG pattern. ZEN terminals were defined as terminals showing both ZnT3 immunoreactivities and AMG granules. At the light microscopic level, dense staining patterns for ZnT3 immunoreactivity were seen in the granule cell layer and the olfactory glomerular layer. At the ultrastructural level, ZEN terminals were restricted to presynaptic terminals with single or multiple postsynaptic thickenings. The postsynaptic profiles contacting ZEN terminals appeared to be dendrites or somata of granule cells in the granule cell layer and periglomerular cells and mitral/tufted (M/T) cells in the olfactory glomerular layer. This suggests with granule cels and periglomerular cells, and(2) olfactory receptor terminals contacting dendritic profiles of M/T cells or periglomerular cells. The close correlation between ZEN terminals and the glutamatergic system is discussed.

The effect of pressures and temperatures on the stabilities of the Co(Ⅱ)-Methylthymol blue complex have been investigated through ultra-violet spectrophotometric measurement. The stabilities of complexes were measured at 20 30 and 40℃ under 1 300 600 900 and 1200 bars. The equilibrium constant of the complex was increased with pressure and temperature raising. The absorption coefficient was increased with both pressure and temperature. Change of volume, free energe, entropy and enthalpy for the formation of complexes were obtained from the equilibrium constants. The red shift observed a higher pressure and the relation between pressure and oscillator strength were discussed by means of thermodynamic function.
